Cool 😎, I’m now 19, almost 😅 20!
20 years old and insanely blazed. I all of the sudden remember playing this around 2-4 years old. Pulled it out of my memory banks like a piece of tape was ripped off of some concealed memories back there. Completely had forgotten this game had existed. Unbelievable. That being said, whilst stoned as all fuck, this is some entertaining shit.
I Love this and i have the pc game and my Favorite page 3 more new videos
52:32
25 years old and me and my mom quote “I think the train is here!” All the time 😂 thanks for this huge nostalgia trip
I came here for 36:48. That statue scolding the curator was always my favorite clickable in any edutainment thing back in the day.
This is hunter and I'm 17 and I just miss being a kid. I loved this alot
Oh, the memories!!! This was my baby's first video game. He's 24 now.
I had this and the dad one. This was definitely my favorite of the two; from the Ham speech in the beginning, to the train bit inside the house of the toy store! I did see that you missed the Star Wars reference on the train though ( I loved that too). This one had tons of great little bits of animation as well as extra moments! I miss playing this game as a kid
UnFFirend unfriend UnFriend UnFirend unfriend ok on you?
YOOOO YO YO YO YO I AM TOO HIGH FOR THIS RN the amount of nostalgia that I am feeling is so overwhelming holyyyyy
1:32:05 wow! To think that Mercer Mayer himself sang this song. I mean, I can hardly blame him. This is the best song on the whole CD-Rom.
Agreed! Mercer Mayer sure can sing!
Know what else? That song was based off yet *another* of his books: _There's an Alligator under My Bed._
(8:04) Wow, I'm surprised I missed that clickpoint in my Let's Play video of the game!
I see you also missed the Star Wars click spot on the second page, like I did in my Let's Play video (one of the bolts above the vestibule door). I'm thinking doing my own no-commentary playthrough of the story including all those click spots I missed before, and the few others you missed that I had previously shown. Good to see someone else on RUclips with this game!
You brought me to this
thanks
So y'all just gunna make me teary eyed like this? lmao. Beautiful nostalgia
This game was way ahead of it’s time.
You forgot to click on the frog who is holding the glass of milk where he drinks the same glass and exclaims "Milk! It's good!" then the cow moos causing the frog to drop the glass of milk and say "Oops.".
10:24 Hand takes the customer's sandwich!
Customer: HEY!
Thank you so much for uploading this playthrough! I love playing this game; it's one of my all-time favorites and it brings me back to my childhood.
Which of these would you do next: the play mode of Just Me and My Dad or the playthrough of Little Monster Private Eye: The Smelly Mystery?
Probably I'll try to get Just Me and My Dad working, I'm hopeful I can fix whatever error was causing the game to crash. Since I sort of already made a start on it, I'd like to do that one as soon as possible.
I ended up doing The Smelly Mystery since I couldn't fix the issues with Just Me And My Dad. I'll definitely keep trying to get it working, but I don't know how long it will take since I don't seem to be any closer to finding a solution at the moment. Sorry about that, I didn't foresee having this much trouble getting it to run without crashing.
Nostalgia, me and my and my brothers used to play this game on my dad's computer when I was like 5 years
Sweet childhood.
23:26 - That was my favorite part of the game.
Wow... there's more to this then I thought there was when I was a kid.
(16:32) "You know there's something you should know,
so I'm gonna tell you so!
Don't sweat it! Forget it!
Enjoy the show!"
Here's to you Zak Wolf
How many of us remembered this while high in our 20s?
1:13:18 That’s a reference to the Village People and their signature song, “Y.M.C.A.” 😄
1:30:05 I really love this song. It's called "the world goes round day by day" from just me and my dad.
And to think there were parts *not* in the video, including a partially-rewritten refrain.
The Addams Family reference at 14:47, that’s Lurch’s catchphrase! 😄
16:29 And there is a Parrapa the Rapper Reference
"aww shucks yall a bunch of party poopers"
9:25 Jezz, the graphic from this level feels like C&C Red Alert.
9:26 Forrest Gump references.
Thank you very very much.
56:56
That sounds like the Cave of Wonders
in Disney’s Aladdin
8:09 Wizard of Oz references?!
Did anybody notices that the people from train station didn't really give a dam about the weather? They would all be sucked out from the tornado.
Fun Fact: Both Just me and my Mom and Twister were date back from 1996.
16:31 - Inspiration for Poochie from The Itchy and Scratchy (and Poochie) Show.
And maybe, dare I say it, the rapping dog from "Titanic: The Legend Goes On?"
@13:53
Michael Jackson frog had me 😂😂
Based on some deductions from this and other Little Critter books. I wonder if Little Critter and his family live somewhere in the mid-Atlantic States?? Virginia seems a likely place when you consider he goes to the beach with his grandmother and goes camping with his father. New York City, which is the City that this game takes place in also wouldn't be far to reach by train from Virginia.
I had this CD 💿 rom as a kid it was so much fun
1:10:30 this part always creeped me out as a kid
Big bad wolf: Let me in or I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blooooow your house down!
Little pig: Not by the hair on my chiny chin chin! 47:25
14:59 Little critter got trapped in a bubble!!
Get well soon Mrs milk massesy ferguson and the adventures of marvin
44:23 and 49:16 Is that you, Arnold Schwarzenegger?
12:16 a Steam Locomotive? this should have been switched to Diesel since this was the 90s!
Hehe, nice shout-out to my Let's Play video!
@@ZakWolf probably the train is an nostalgia run or some kind of train enthusiast run
@@itskevinjustkevin Or maybe it's some grandfather clause thing, like the Mom wearing a Victorian-era dress and hat.

Why don't they include that in the app game?? You would think now they would be able to have more random things to click on
I miss this so much
This store is similar to the American Girl doll store except it has stuffed animals and and one doll and other toys too.
30:00 That’s a reference to the classic movie “Saturday Night Fever.” 🕺
54:24 he sneezed the colors right off!! Lmao!!!
That frog was dancing like Michael Jackson
At 13:40, you know! That moment, super funny! 😂😂
I believe the music was based on Black Or White
Played this in head start
Also noticed that there was some click points you forgot to click on such as if you click on the other door in the Train on page 2 the fox with the Hunting Party appears there is also another one on page two if you click on the door it opens up revealing some of Little Critters friends they also say hi to him if you click on the rabbit with the hat on page to a vampire Mouse will appear also asking her if the train is the Transylvania Express there's a ton more that you may have missed I also find some of the click points on some pages kind of unfitting such as that Alice in Wonderland clickpoint on page 10 I'm sorry I just don't get the joke on why Alice is in a toy store though the other pop culture references actually do make a ton of sense on where the location is still nice video overall
Ah, I see. I can really appreciate the number of animations they put into these games, the only downside is it makes it more difficult for me to keep track of where they all are. I didn't grow up with this or the other Little Critter games either, so unfortunately I'm not really as knowledgeable about them as people who did probably are. But I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
@@johammetgamesarchive6704 Maybe I'll do my own no-commentary playthrough of this game, as I grew up with it as a kid, so I know most of the nooks and crannies throughout.
28:22 love that dinosaur 🦕🦖
I’m the one I hug a big stuff Mickey and Minnie Mouse at store in London and I love them both.

Does anyone notices that Critter City reminds me New York City?
Yeah, in a way it does. It also reminds me of Boston.

LITTLE CRITTER: This is a Tyrannosaurus Rex!
The dinosaur name at the bottom of the dinosaur skeleton says, "TYRANNOSAURUS REX". That is true.
But look at the arms and fingers. The arms are too long to be a T.Rex. Because T.Rex had short arms. As for the fingers, there are three instead of two. So it looks more like an Allosaurus. And only Allosaurus could have long enough arms and three fingers. But then again, it does resemble the T.Rex from the Disney movie "Fantasia-1940".
Other dinosaurs in the dinosaur exhibit could be a Brachiosaurus, a Stegosaurus, a Parasaurolophus (seen), a Triceratops (seen), and a T.Rex (seen). The eggs? I think they might be Parasaurolophus fossil eggs. You want to know why? Because Edmontosaurus, Parasaurolophus, and Maiasaura were duckbilled dinosaurs. And yes, both of them could lay eggs. So because the duckbill skeleton (behind the T.Rex) was a Parasaurolophus, those eggs most certainly were Parasaurolophus eggs.
I say, "Fantasia reference at 27:16". You want to know why? Because the T.REX, he has three fingers instead of two.
Is this a Living Book?
32:59, 33:50, and 39:17 Sounds to me like that museum guard has a Russian accent.
