Bought this last year and hands down it does such a good job of the KOT my friend a pedal builder collector did a head to head with his KOT and was knocked out on how they both are almost twins.
Damnit!!!! That does sound pretty frickin good. Shut up and Take my money. Again. I’ve got their Dual Gun, and was pleasantly surprised how not bad that sounded too. Gotta love some of the affordable clones. I think people having to pay $400-$700 for a bunch of resistors and capacitors that cost them $20-30 in parts (most often) and then charging THAT MUCH is just crazy.
I agree. Some people like Mike Piera from AnalogMan do not charge ridiculous amounts. He charges fairly. But it is the hype created by people, and the long wait, that makes his pedals so expensive. The same with the Klon, which most of us cannot under no circumstance distinguish from a good clone. But there are other guys nowadays that are charging a lot of money for their pedals, and to me, it is not justified (mostly also because they aren't anything innovative, but just copies of something else). But again, people like to "hear" with their wallets, instead of their ears, and that makes some prices go crazy!
@@argbluesman Yes...I agree...I got a Killer Kit from Stew Mac (Klon) called the "Ghost"...Very Nice Klon Clone -Top of the Shelf Parts...Fantastic Instructions. ($98.) Stew Mac also sells a Analogman KOT Clone Kit for ($115) Top Shelf Parts Spot on Build...Beautiful Effect! "The 2 Kings"
Great video the best I’ve seen showing this pedal. I wanted to buy one immediately, but I have to realize you’re playing really sells the thing I just subscribed.
Came for the review, stayed for the music. That is a fantastic song! I'd love to add that to my playlist. I could chill all night long to that. Oh by the way great pedal 😉
Excellent demo and lovely feel.. just bought one on the strength of your demo.. I am going to put it next to Centura Klon's clone , Shin's Music Dumble..and my all time favourite Free the Tone String steeler and see how it compares..
Well demon fx just took my money cause you made this extremely cheaply priced pedal sound like it is worth $1000 bucks, the one I got has all the dip switches a $5 clip on tuner lol thanks for this awesome demo!!!!
Federico!!!! Tasty soulful playing from a heart that can feel and hear music and phrasing! Really really nice, man! Now... my question for you is about this unbelievable Stratocaster tones you have. What pickups are you using on this? Any video of yours about these pickups? Man, I'm STUNNED! Cheers from Italy!
Ciao! When the actual demo starts you can see the gear info. It was a Tom Anderson with VA7 pickups. But it’s not just the pickups. It’s the whole chain. The guitar especially was very resonant, light, and with a huge fat sound.
Watched 2 other videos on this pedal... with terrible playing and tone. I almost stopped being interested... until I heard you play. Now I'm back to wanting the pedal. Thanks!
I have one of these....sounds good but mine has a noticable audible pop when I use either of the switches. Plan on getting a local tech to replace the switches for better quality silent ones and then it will be on my board. Wonder what amp is used in this video...some clean fender type ? What guitar ? Great playing though...very tasteful.
Hey man great playin and tone! I also have a King of Tone clone which is pretty much an exact copy...great sounding pedal. Im just curious to know what you're internal dip switches where set to in this video. My amp is a Ceriatone OTS HRM 100 which has the same clean channel as your OTS. Like you did not want to be waiting 4 years for a pedal which is why I bought a clone. Also have a 68 pedals Duellist which is also very nice!
Hi! The first channel is set to drive. The second, clean. And both hi gain switches are on. To me, it sounds much better and fatter with both hi gain switches on.
Thanks for posting. Love your videos. Unrelated question but I have a two notes cab m+ to pair with an aracom attenuator as a load box and I also have an audio ox coming in as well to compare both and decide between the two. Have you ever tried the two notes with another attenuator or load box aside from the audio ox? The audio ox is expensive and I do have a great attenuator to use as a load box but I heard that other load boxes don’t match really well.
The universal audio is not just an attenuator. Attenuation is one of its capabilities but not the main one. It’s a speaker and cab simulator, room simulator, mic simulator, with reverb, delay, compressor, eq… it’s much much more than any of the other ones you mentioned. But it depends on your needs of course.
Everything I record is recorded in Logic Pro. I suggest that you watch some videos about how the universal audio ox works. The software only controls the unit.

@@musikeronglord2299 yes. First channel Gail. Second channel clean. There is little difference anyway. Don’t think too much about the switches. The hi gain make the most difference. Both on is the key I think.

I generally don't care for blues. But your phrasing is excellent and makes it interesting. As far as the pedal goes, I imagine you'd sound just as creative and good on any other pedal. There is way too much emphasis on gear and not enough on songwriting, creativity, originality and talent. But to the point of the video, the pedal sounds good.

I just got one...sounds great however the switches are really loud and it gives a loud pop sound through the amp when engaged;
Beautiful phrasing. You make that pedal sing. Beautiful playing and tone.
