Maybe if Romero got credit for this people would know the story but he was not given credit & the studio published an apology later in Variety magazine. I think it was intentional because there was a rift between Romero & the studio.

The man dominated from start to finish and the more you listen/watch yall will see. The early years set the foundation, but as time went on, Elvis kept evolving. Ya gotta look at his live material, whether it be pro filmed or not. He didn't like being called the 'King.' I simply call him the GOAT and I'll put money on that shit. PEACE!

You both are awesome, watching you guys from Las Vegas Nevada 😎
This is from the 1957 movie, Jailhouse Rock. Elvis was 22, & this dance sequence from the movie is often cited as his "greatest moment on screen." It's always been one of my favorites by EP! Also, Alex Romero was the film's choreographer, but he utilized Elvis' input, and Elvis spent the evening before filming being coached by Russ Tamblyn (Riff in the movie classic, West Side Story), making sure he had all the moves down pat.
Maybe if Romero got credit for this people would know the story but he was not given credit & the studio published an apology later in Variety magazine. I think it was intentional because there was a rift between Romero & the studio.
“No. 47 said to No. 3, 'You the cutest jailbird I ever did see' “...No innuendo there at all 😉
Lots of prison love happening here.
Your Going To Like This One !
Loved your reaction very much Elvis was the best friend i ever had in my entire life. we met when i was 17 yrs old. our friendship lasted past that one day in time we were friends for 10 yrs. up until the day he left us. He asked nothing of me and i asked nothing from him he needed a friend and so did i we were that for each other he never judged me and i never judged him. All the memories of my friend are tucked safe in my heart forever. dancing and singing breaks my heart because i know he is not here anymore my mind understands but my heart never will, i saw him a few weeks before he passed we had a short conversation which i will never share again because people are so nasty and comment hurtful heart breaking things they do not know me but they still can't keep their mouths closed about things they know nothing about. I walk past Graceland everyday love from the one and only Memphis Tn. btw fun fact the instruments were cardboard cut outs. and it was all Elvis, no lipsyncing.

Your wife's smile is so beautiful!!! Enjoy the reaction.
From the movie, Elvis choreographed this dance sequence.
“Alex Romero, a dancer and choreographer was assigned by MGM production executive Pandro S. Berman to work on Elvis' dancing for the movie "Jailhouse Rock.” Dancing great Gene Kelly was on set as an observer while the scene was being filmed, & Elvis was helped by dancer Russ Tamblyn, who worked with Presley on his leg movement. Romero also conceived the sets and costumes. Due to an oversight by MGM production executive Pandro Berman, choreographer Romero did not receive credit for his work. Berman sent Romero a letter of apology that was published in Variety Magazine." Romero also worked with Presley on three other films - Clambake (1967), Double Trouble (1967), and Speedway (1968).
He made this whole old stuff to be cool through his presence
Those hips though..🥰
That was all Elvis, no lipsyncing.
Keep em coming. This is theatrical version of the original release. Yall went down a LOADED rabbit hole! There's so many levels to Elvis, this is just scratching the surface. He could do anything, actually did...but his Live Concerts were where he was truly in his element. Forget what you told before your too old. PEACE!
love what you do! love the amount of vids you are putting out :)
SO YOUNG THE ROCKET SHIP THAT TOOK HIM TO THE HIGHEST AND LOWEST POINTS OF HIS LIFE HAD JUST STARTED THEN 20 SHORT YEARS LATER HE WAS GONE LIKE A COMET FLASHING ACROSS THE SKY
That was tame Elvis for tv. His live acts at time were considered " to vulger"
his moves were copied from other black artists.
@@bwana-ma-coo-bah425 WRONG
@@p.j.morris633 so who did he copy thes moves from?
he didn't invent these moves himself.
these are all moves he copied from a black artist.ruclips.net/video/Q-yH-qlkwRs/видео.html
@@bwana-ma-coo-bah425 Wrong! No one danced like Elvis. I watched all of the black artists back then on RUclips ...and not one of them did the same moves as Elvis. It's time for this foolishness to stop. Believe it, or not .. many, many white people can dance. Tap dancing came from the white Irish people, then black people started putting their own spin on it. Elvis is the only artist to be in EVERY Music Hall of Fame. Someone always has to come under every video of Elvis and say something derogatory, or try to take credit for his singing & dancing. It's not going to work. He was my father's 5th cousin and we are very proud of him.
@@bwana-ma-coo-bah425 I've seen all of your hateful comments about Elvis. You have a jealous heart 💚 If you don't like him just keep scrolling.
Alex Romero, a dancer and choreographer who directed Elvis Presley's dancing for the movie “Jailhouse Rock” and also worked with Presley on three other films
Thx for this -- there's a detailed story about how it all happened & i think because Romero didn't get credit, no one knew how it all came together; an apology was printed later in Variety mag. but too late, i think; i also believe the lack of credit may have been intentional since there was a rift between Romero & the studio.
Jimmy Page from Led Zep has said that the thing that got him interested in playing the guitar and rock and roll was Elvis. I love when they play Elvis covers in their live gigs, like the Whole Lotta Love (medley) from the BBC Sessions.
He did his own dance moves, all real
THE KING 👑🗿🙌🏻
You need to watch the 68 comeback special ( black leather outfit) version of Jail House Rock it’s so much more rock and roll
For the movie they changed up the song a bit, at the end they transition to a movie version ending
THE MAN !!!
Michael Jackson was inspired by Elvis
Favorite part: “Lay it on me, Daddy-O!”
You need to check out Elvis with Ann Margaret in Viva Las Vegas...One hot couple! She was known as the female Elvis.
Now we know where Michael Jackson got some of his moves, from his father-in-law Elvis when Michael married Elvis's daughter Lisa Marie. :-)
get back on the drugs coolrockndad..
M.J. copied Elvis?
Now I have heard it all.
Elvis copied the black artist.
@@bwana-ma-coo-bah425 It's obvious you can't read, for you didn't see or don't understand the meaning of the word "some". Take your racist BS and sit in the corner of the room till an adult calls on you to speak.
@@bwana-ma-coo-bah425 Not true. Black artists back in the day admitted that they took from Elvis. A quote from the great late Jackie Wilson said "many black people think that Elvis stole from us when the truth is we took from him". James Brown said "Elvis taught white people how to dance". Guess who inspired Michael Jackson? Jackie Wilson and James Brown. MJ was even married to Lisa Marie and hired Elvis' former road manager Joe Esposito. MJ copied Elvis' toe stance, hip shaking with the pelvis and wardrobe style. He even had portraits of Elvis at Neverland.
@@bwana-ma-coo-bah425 MJ himself said that Elvis was a great influence on him plus Jackie Wilson & Fred Astaire. Look it up Dude
@@mikem957 Exactly
This song went to number 1 in its first week in the UK single charts 1957 when you had to sell a lot of records. The film when shown had cinema seats ripped up by the audience, and dancing in the aisles, such was the impact back then.
Just discovered your channel , love how you’re covering the king. Props!
Like that song 😍
Elvis created the first rock video ever
Love the show
SO GREAT‼️😁
