I'm currently at 13000km on ODO and have been experiencing a strange fuelling (?) issue for the past 200-300km. The bike feels like it's running out breath when approacing 7,000rpm and continues this till I'm almost at 8,000rpm. At 8,000rpm there's a sudden surge and the bike shoots off. This is very disconcerting while cruising on highways! If I pin the throttle when doing 100kmph, there's a lag of about 5-6 seconds after which the bike blasts off towards 120km/h.plz give some solution for the same.

Is it a problem, or a nominal behaviour ? since NS 200 produces max torque at 8000rpm, and from 5500rpm till 8000rpm there is a flat zone of power where you wont get much acceleration in any gear above 3rd. But at or above 8000rpm it pulls like anything..!! that's where its power band is. And this behaviour becomes more evident when you have worn out clutch plates, bad air-fuel mixture, valve tappet clearances are offset, leaking out the compressed gas, etc.
Abhishek Vishwakarma my bike having the same issue, no pickup till 8k rpm and suddenly increases the power after 8k rpm. I changed the clutch sparkplugs etc. you found the solution ?
First thing you can do is, change your Chain Sprocket Set, Buy RS200 Chain Sprocket set, and put it in your NS200 (it is a complete fit). The difference will be in the rear sprocket. NS200 has 39 teeth rear sprocket while RS200 has 41 teeth rear sprocket. So it will change the final drive ratio. Which will give a little boost in your acceleration in all gears. Don't expect major changes in performance. Second thing is to check for Valve Tappet Clearances, check if they are proper otherwise adjust them to recommended gaps, since they might be leaking the compression which leads to power loss from the engine. Third thing is to check the Air Fuel Mixture from your Carburettor check if it is too lean (more air and less fuel) make it rich (both air and fuel in recommended ratio). Fourth thing is to check for Spark Plugs, change them if required. And as per my knowledge these things should fix your problem. Also, make sure your wheels are freely rotating, and they are not jammed. Hope this helps you...!
i am having problem from 6000 rpm to 8000 rpm in 3-4 gear acceleration isnt smooth as it should be and here local bajaj service center guy told me to change clutch plate will it solve the problem?( mine is bs 4 ns 200

My bike has two more concerns though...it revs pretty unwillingly and there is a big power hole when I open the throttle. Secondly, when i ride it hard continuously, 7k-8k rpm, and let it cool for few hours then it doesn’t start properly. I had to make use of the choke. It also throws fuel out from overflow pipe from carburettor. Can you help me in this case? Ps - mine is bs4 may 2017 model.
@@arunabhawasthi3745 It looks like, you should get your carburetor serviced properly, may be re-jetting is required (since fuel is coming out). Check your Air Filter as well, it shouldn't be blocked (change it if possible since it's cheap ~Rs.274/-). Uneven fuel/air mixture can ruin any engine of whatever capacity. Also, notice your exhaust gas, if it is unburnt (white in color) or visibly too dark (more fuel being burnt). Normal exhaust gas is not easily visible. Please do not use choke, since it will make more fuel being mixed in carburetor. Change Engine Oil if it has done enough Kilometers.

@@rajputriky225 brother check with the diaphragm by changing it once to check if the pickup problem solved, if not solved try changing clutch plates, if then also not solved check with the accelerator cable within these 3 u will get resolved of pickup solution... I have owned Ns200 bs3 model frm 8 years this is my experience...

My NS200 FI ABS bike has ran around 15k. Lately I am having problem in its acceleration. Like, it goes smoothly to max 60/70 km/h speed in top gear. And then it starts vibrating so much that I can’t increase the speed. I have to give race too much to gain the acceleration. When I increase the gear I should give more pressure on accelerator to go to the speed. Can somebody help me to fix this problem?

@@Palashsarmah yes bro, there was little water drops inside the carburetor. I told the service guys to drain the carburetor and after that the problem got fixed, also tuned the carburetor as it was not properly set.
Have you figured it out? There was some issue with unit at the neck of the bike where chassis closes, it used to be like the bike was rich from fuel, but it has to with the electronics.
