- After the amazing response from the last video, today we are going to reacting to all the version trailers for the first time within this video. Genshin impact has a multitude of amazing trailers, and we are going to be exploring all of them. This final fantasy 14 fan has no Idea what he is getting himself into.
If you want to playing genshin impact, it is a free to play game on PS5 Mobile, and nintendo switch. And remember to comment down below what other genshin impact videos I should react to next.
For someone who only just watched the character trailers recently, the fact you can remember so many characters when seeing them again in these version trailers is quite amazing. That's some dedication you have

legitimately have been tearing up from time to time since 3.0 and onwards trailers were playing. it's such a grand journey, and reminiscing all those fantastic adventures has been so good

I can never get enough of ppls reaction to Wanderer XD but I get why he'd seem so interesting (and he is!).
Every time someone watches these version trailers (especially when they've watched demos first), it seems his story in particular really intrigues them. From the early versions "wait hes evil????" to "HUH HES A MECHA NOW?" to the baddass Wanderer introduction never gets old! As a Wanderer enjoyer, I love it xD
I love that he's surprised at the time it takes for a character to be introduced to becoming playable.
Wait till he hears Baizhu was introduced in 1.1 and released in 3.6

@@TheOfficialV2 For context, Baizhu uses the element of Dendro--plants and nature--which wasn't made available until 3.0. Yaoyao was also used in promotional material from even before the game launched, and she uses the same element. I assume that during development, they may have been planned to be in the launch lineup of characters along with Dendro being fully available, but at some point, the decision was to withhold it until we traveled to the Dendro nation, where Baizhu and Yaoyao would finally get released after the major Sumeru characters were launched.
Generally speaking, though, when a new region drops with the X.0 version updates, we meet a lot of new characters that all take part in the region's story. But they aren't all made available immediately. Instead, they are released gradually over the first 5 patches. Each patch is broken into two 3-week periods... 6 weeks total. On average, we get two new characters per patch, one in the first half and the second in the last half, though there are some exceptions. The first patch of a new region launches with two new characters in the first half and one in the second half, and some of the late patches (X.7 and X.8) might just release one character, or none and just feature reruns.

Agreed! His Chinese and Korean voices are also pretty good.... but the Japanese voice is... too soft, I feel... like he sounds good, but it doesn't really seem to suit him in my opinion
All I'm going to say is, be merciful when you hear his normal attack sounds...But I agree I love his EN VA, it fits him so well.

Each major update has both major permanent content updates, but also has limited time events. So yeah there is some things you missed, there is a larger amount that you can still enjoy.

Some of the content you see in these trailers is for limited time events (generally most of the minigame looking things, but also the summer island maps and bottle land). All of that only lasts until the next version update.
But most of the bosses, areas and novelty mechanics (like boat travel, underwater simming, and the customizable teapot realm) are permanently available, although some mechanics may be restricted to only certain areas.
If I might make a suggestion, there are a few trailers that I feel you should watch. The first is a story teaser that came out way back when Genshin first came out called "Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview: Travail", its a roadmap of the story and teases characters that were, and some still are, long in the future and the names of each of the nations we travel to in the story; as well as a few cryptic lines that tease the stories to come in each of the nations. The second being called "Teyvat Chapter Interlude Teaser: A Winter Night's Lazzo", however I recommend watching this video after you finish Chapter 2: Act 3 ,which ends the Inazuma Arc, in the games main quest due to spoilers. And third being called "Overture Teaser: The Final Feast" which should be saved until after completing Chapter 3: Act 5, which ends the Sumeru Arc; it doesn't really have any spoilers in it but it contains information on the nation called Fontaine which comes after Sumeru.
Visions are gemstones imbedded in gold or silver frames which bestow the owner with the ability to wield one of the 7 elements. Not everyone can get a vision because it requires an ambition or wish to become so strong it catches the "gaze of the gods/archons" which in turn they will give a vision to that person, and the element will depend on how similar an ambition or wish is to that of one of the 7 gods/archons. Visions will also appear visually different based on where the vision holder acquired it. In some rare circumstances there are those in the world that don't require a vision to wield the elements.
Sadly, most of the things you see after the trailers are not available to play anymore. Events only run for a certain amount of time within each version update and annoyingly some of the bigger events have storylines or items that are not accessible to new players. Each year they will do a Lantern Rite Festival to celebrate the Lunar New Year irl which happens at the same time. They also do a big summer event typically in August. Lastly, each version of Genshin lasts 42 days each, except for the rare occasion where they have to delay a patch which only ever happened once so far.
Will be checking out more trailers 100%. So thats what visions are, good to know. And that kinda sucks that some of the content isnt there still but its understandable

@robinsailo5652 I know that, but for someone just starting the game, it's the best explanation rn because it's said multiple times by people with visions and ei is the only one that confirms that archons don't give them out in a voice line.

An interesting thing is that so far preceding each X.0 trailer is a story teaser that is animated in 2D
Before 2.0 (Inazuma) dropped we had "The Solitary Pursuit of Lightning" teaser
Before 3.0 (Sumeru) dropped we got "A Winternight's Lazzo" teaser
Before 4.0 (Fontaine) dropped we had "Overture: The Final Feast" teaser
Watch them especially the winternight's lazzo teaser because that was one cool villain reveal trailer.

@@zedblade2526i mean, unless he experiences _that_ part of the story himself and reads _that person's_ real name in the introduction screen, he'd most likely have no idea who is the R. they're talking about. yes, there is a quite recognisable detail of R.'s in the trailer, but he literally forgot he'd seen kazuha before the version trailers video, so i don't think that's gonna be a problem XD
@@zedblade2526 yes, but it's mostly a face reveal spoiler, because now we know what all the harbingers look like. And all the trailers are spoiler-ish anyway. Travail trailer and "we will be reunited" trailer are both explicitly story spoilers. The context is just lost to someone who hasn't played the game.
This is also kinda why I find it fun to watch a streamer react to the travail trailer before they start playing the game, then watch them react to it after once they have caught up in the main story.

here at the 1.5 trailer and i can't wait for you to notice how through 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 they gradually become better and better :D the story gets better and better and the trailers definitely reflect that really well. like you noticed - 1.5 introduced the housing system. with the serenitea pot you get to have your own realm and build in it as you like. you also get to put the characters you own inside and have some special dialogues with them.
1.6 - you noticed that as well, usually every 6 months or so two new characters (one 4* and one 5*) get a new skin - the skin for a 4* is always free for a limited time and can be obtained from an event (after the event ends you can buy it in the shop for $) and the skin for a 5* you can buy from the shop (during the event it's on a slight discount).
you can also react to Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview: Travail - it should explain a little bit about the story - every year there's a major update (2.0, 3.0, 4.0 etc) and it brings a whole new region with a new story, and the Travail trailer briefly talks about each of the region. each region is based on different real life cultures and has a god of a different element each (in game those gods are called Archons).
you guessed right - visions are those little gizmos (most of the playable characters have them) that make it possible for the characters to wield elements. it's also further explained and expanded on in the game.
3.1 - Nilou was indeed introduced earlier (in 3.0) and came out in 3.1 - it's similar for most characters actually. the longest we waited for an introduced character to become playable was with the Wanderer. he was actually first introduced to the story back in the 1.1 main event under a different name, but became playable in 3.3 (over 2 years later). i see you had some doubts whether the character in 2.1, 3.1 and 3.2 trailers was the Wanderer or not - yes, and he did have a long ass story arc, he's definitely one of hoyoverse's favorites lol
version 3.x was a real step up in the game's overall quality (especially the story), glad you noticed it :)
3.4 - Liyue's Lantern Rite Festival is indeed a yearly event - Liyue actually represents China's culture and so the Lantern Rite event is celebrated around the time of the Chinese New Year :)
3.5 - with every update coming out every 6 weeks, there usually is one new 5* character (not always), sometimes there is two, that's why it usually takes a bit longer for the introduced characters to come out as playable ones.
as other comments suggested, you should definitely watch characters' teasers (different from character demos) - they're beautifully animated and showcase the characters from a bit more story and lore-wise perspective, unlike character demos, who showcase their gameplay more. it's a very fun watch!

As a wanderer fan, i just want to day that I'm amaze that you were able to recognize Wanderer in his old identity. Some reactors took time to realize, some even don't so I'm just happy that you were able to point him out despite the confusion. I can't wait for you to start playing the game.
The brother and sister are Aether and Lumine (they're the main characters you can pick, with the other being the leader of the Abyss Order). Also, there are certain places for artifacts/upgrade materials called domains. Plus there are no Raid Bosses, only normal bosses and then the weekly bosses for further upgrades, and I guess bosses for the Main Story Quests.

Some other videos you should react to are (priority in order from top to bottom, in my opinion):
- All Character Teasers: gives more insight to backstory/personality of 5* characters. Not so much about gameplay
- Teyvat Chapter Teaser: basically a "trailer" to the entire genshin story
- Winter Night's Lazzo: Contains a little bit of spoilers. Showcases the main antagonists of genshin
(If you dont want any spoilers, can hold off this one until you've finished playing Chapter 2 of genshin)
- Ayaka's animation "Tsubaki in Thawing Snow" and Xiao's animation "Endless Suffering" : Just some really cool-looking animation for further insights into their characters story
- Inazuma story promotional video, Sumeru promotional video, Fontaine Overture Teaser "The final feast" : All of the above are animated trailers for their respective regions
- If you wanna get REALLY spoilt for the story, you could consider watching all the Story Teasers: They're basically animated in-game cutscenes to progress major story beats

"Teyvat Chapter Interlude Teaser: A Winter Night's Lazzo" is an incredible video to watch for genshin too. idk how hype it'll be without knowing the story, but a lot of people lost their shit when it came out.
The two characters u haven’t seen at all are Paimon and the Traveler (that one in particular being Lumine) Traveler is the MC and ur first character, and Paimon is a travel companion that tagged along after we saved her from drowning
My fault forgot one of these trailers literally shows Lumine with some clarification 😭
there're some 4-star characters who don't have character demos, and 5-star characters Jean and Diluc who also don't have character demos but have collected miscellany videos (gameplay explanation, and a little lore at the end of video)
So just to point out, the game does not have mmo like raids. these are either bosses in the open world or important story bosses

As a relatively old generation player who started way back Version 1.2, I'm still stuck in Sumeru region's main story and yet they're giving 4.2 updates already which contains the new expansion of newest region, that is Fontaine. Honestly, there's so many activities they've added and much to do in the game. Lol... :D
You're right that some characters appear way before they become playable. The current record holder is Baizhu, who you could meet in 1.0 but didn't become playable until 3.6. There's also a really important character who you meet in 1.4 who I feel like won't become playable until version 7.0 at the earliest.
You have no idea how long we had to wait for some characters to become playable. Like Baizhu... almost 3 years. He was introduced the first patch and dude didn't become playable till this summer. Ray Chase does indeed voice Neuvillette.

There are some limited time events like the summer events and festivals, but for the most part the content shown in the trailers sticks around and there are new events every update, so as someone who started playing in March 2022, I still haven't gotten through all the base game content like world quests and hangouts, and I'm just taking it slow and steady. You will have plenty to do.

to give you a perspective on how fast they pump out limited-time and permanent content
X.0 to X.2 patches are the main patches for Main Quest content
X.0 is the release of a new nation (a whole lot of new puzzles, mobs, world quests, sceneries, and music)
One patch last for 6 weeks (42 days)
Lantern Rite always happens on the patch that extends from January to February
Since patch 2.0, map expansions have been on X.0, X.1, X.4, and X.6 patches. Although, 2.2 patch had one map expansion.
All patches have one main limited-time event (lasts for three weeks), and three mini limited-time events (lasts for 1.5 weeks). This events are released in succession not simultaneously.
Major Quality-of-Life updates only happens on X.0 patches, minor ones happen anytime.
There is a card game within the game.
The game anniversary is Sept. 28.

To help when it comes to bosses and stuff there are two kinds of bosses
Weekly Bosses and World Bosses
Azhdaha and The big sumeru meka wanderer boss are both weekly domain bosses and can be done alone wnd in coop
World bosses are scattered across the world and can be fought as many times as u want.
Raids or expeditions are just called domains in the game and theyre a huge part of the game and you get drops from these domains for artifacts, character leveling, weapon leveling, etc.

These updates come every 6 weeks as well, so you never have to wait too long between content drops or events

1:28:15 actually, the default mode for this battle is single player, but once you finish the archon quest there's a co-op option to play with other 3 players. at every end of an archon quest or character story quest we have "weekly bosses", which are like normal bosses except they have their own domain, multiple phases, are more difficult and give special materials which you can only reclaim 3 times every week.

They have a lantern rite every year to commemorate the Chinese new year. But also majority of the events from these versions are limited except for 2.7 perilous trail
Perilous trail event is gone tho, only the interlude chapter quest remains now
3rd anniversary is coming up any with it the Lantern Rite festival.
It's usually very well done and has a lot of interactions between characters and nations, highly recommend it.
Although I am not familiar with raids in other games, there is no such things as "raids" in Genshin.
There's only World Bosses and Weekly bosses.

You actually saw these 2 in character trailers, its female version of main character (or as they call it traveler here) and your emergency food helper (does alooooooooooot of talking with high piched voice). With each area you unlock your mc gets new set of powers (monstadt wind, lyue earth, inazuma electricity, sumeru nature and fontaine water) but you can only use one at the time (unless its cutscene ofc)
Events (minigames) are temporary but kinda regular and sometimes get you free 4* character or weapon, but deff alot of primogems for gacha
Visions are mentioned but you get to know more about them in inazuma that is locked behind main quest unless you manage to glitch over there (in other words it takes a while to get there)
Genshin updates every 6 weeks. Currently we are actually in 4.0, the trailers usually drop around 2 weeks before the patch hits to get us hyped up. 4.1 comes out in a few days. Nuevillette should have a demo out before then.
for the lore for the Lantern one is an Event for Game(its like chinese new year) and also these Bosses are called Daily bosses, once you defeated them you have wait for the next day for the ley lines's Items( the items are Character Materials or Artifacts )

Sadly the events can leave and you have to wait to get an chance to do it, Lost Riches is an event where you can an Pet to be by your side, Spice making is you put spice stuff on the food that you cook and let character's taste test(to boost up your friendship)
It's always so nice when people genuinely have fun watching these. You'll have so much fun with this game which feels very lively

WoO what a journey! First off, I want to say thank you for watching through the entirety of the trailers, not many reaction channels do that, heck even I skip them, so it’s nice to see you get acquainted with the game. Congrats! You’re all caught up now. You’re absolutely right repeating that Genshin Impact is all about “too much content is never enough” they make sure you always have something new and I feel rather grateful for how much passion they put into this game. Seriously, the rumor about Genshin stealing your money is so dumb, only people who really want to spend their money do so. Literally the only part that requires spending is the gacha side of things, and even THAT is not a grave issue since you can still get your favourite characters for free!
Here’s an advice. If you ever decide to play this game, play it for yourself. I have been playing it for almost half a year now and oh my god the amount of joy I get from exploring the gorgeous landscapes, regions while listening to the OSTs is immeasurable. Going through the quests slowly but surely is sometimes a pain yes but it’s never not fun and extremely rewarding with the badass cutscenes, no matter how much I’ve seen some already, it’s just a whole new experience seeing it happen in-game. Not to mention the lore, holy smokes it’s amazing. Unlock the card mini game (it’s really addicting once you get the rules down), go fish, beat some boss battles, jam to said boss battles’ music, take a walk in the desert, decorate your serenitea pot, just have fun!💛
I definitely intend to play the game for me first. The youtube IMO is extra and if I wanted to play the game on my own time I would have honestly. Seeing the amount of feedback from people does indeed make me want to play the game more and more

There are 3 other important trailers to watch. One came out near the launch of the game and is foreshadowing and outline of all to come, to keep us all guess from 2 years ago. Its called the Travail Trailer. Next is the Winter Night Lazzo trailer, it shows some of the main antagonists of the story and came out right before 3.0. Last is Overture Teaser: The Final Feast that came out right before 4.0 and gives a little preview of Fontaine the newest region.

It is basically a tutorial video on how each characters work and how to use them properly in a certain team comps. So maybe u could learn a thing or two for the characters that u would like to play as when/if u ever decided to play this game

So regarding the characters that are available to pull for each patch there is four 5 star characters and they are divided by two for the first half and the other two on the second. Neuvillette is gonna be available on the first half of this patch with Hu Tao while Wriothesley is available in the second half with Venti. The update is available to download and start in 3 days on the 28th which funny enough is Genshin impacts anniversary and my birthday 😂
So if you wanna get Neuvillette then you have the first half however if you want Wriothesley then you gotta wait. I recommend you start before the update cause if you want to top up this is your ultimate chance since the shop has double crystals on first time purchase and will reset after the update thanks to the anniversary. So you get 4 times the amount on the purchase of 2 which is like a 50% off and a huge win!

As far as the minigames, they cycle out with each event and they bring back minigames that people love for other events. Certain events are done yearly, like Lantern Rite :D
The bosses come in two types- World bosses and Trounce bosses which are the big ones that you do in teams or solo if you want. You only ever can have up to 4 people, so 'raid' is a bit strong of a term but the Trounce bosses can be really tough and amazing if you're not prepared XD The big rock dragon in the earlier trailer you watched took me over 45 mins to solo when it first came out!
To clarify something about the updates, some content is permament other content is rotating. For example, we had the prophunt event several times by now, we regularly get combat events each patch and what not.

So genshin patch updates usually always include 1 big limited time event, a limited time character gacha and a few smaller limited ones (including limited time weapons, special items etc). Then permanent content such as the main story, new areas and playable character related stories. I'd say you missed 70% of the content (since they are not replayable) but don't be too hung up abt it cuz the main game has soo much stuff and as most players said don't rush to keep up with the old players cuz it's an stressful uphill battle. You're going to miss a lot of stuff that older players get to savor fully and have fun with

Baizhu is the one who was not playable for the longest . we saw him in 1.0 (or 1.1) and released in 3.6.

Aside from new bosses, areas, and major storylines, much of what "events" are limited time only things.
Once you are able to clear out a chunk of the story, the world expands a lot and lets you take on character quests and whatnot, so there's still a lot to do.
Also Mona was released in 1.0; she's one of the 5 original 5* characters

Yes, they usually introduce characters before they are playable to help to the story and making us care for them to roll when they're actually introduced.
The pink haired girl in 3.7 is Charlotte, she hasn't been made playable and as far as 4.1, she stills unplayable.
For now, the longest wait has been Baizhu (snake guy) who was introduced back in the early versions 1 and wasn't playable until 3.6 (wasn't playing myself back then, but I guess it was during 1.1 he got added to the story)

Some of the characters have teasers as well. The girl in red you saw in the 3.7 trailer is Charlotte and she is coming soon as she’s a reporter from Fontaine and that area just came out. 4.1 hasn’t come out yet, it will go live in a few days and the character banners will have Neuvillette in phase 1 and Wriothesly in phase 2, I plan on going for the latter and yes, Neuvillette’s English voice is Ray Chase
There’s two types of content, Temporary and Permanent (wow so obvious)
You can tell what they are but Temporary events usually only stay for that update itself (usually a few weeks) and are far more common than permanent events.
Permanent events usually add to the game content and gameplay like the boat travel, trading card game, cosmetics and new regions (except the last update for each major region release like 1.6, 2.8 and 3.8)
The amount of free content in this game is insane. I am more than happy to make the small monthly transactions like Welkin (bond gems for wishing every day) and battle pass when it offers more content and playtime for me than a triple A game
Also.. for characters who are introduced and then you wait to play them; wanderer was actually introduced back in 1.1 so he was HIGHLY anticipated haha

There’s seven nations ruled by seven archons (gods). Visions are the pendents you’ll see on characters, they allow you to control one of the seven elements. Every update they usually release some story, especially in the beginning like 4.0 and 4.1 for example, while also having limited time events alongside them. Some like fishing and the card game stay, but unfortunately most leave after the patch is over

This was the Chinese New Year Celebration, which we've had every year so far, though only one Windblume event and one Wienlessefest... for Mondstadt Festivals. Inazuma had the Irodori Festival... Then there is the annual Summer Event. These have included Klee twice, and the Golden Apple Archipelago twice.
It's unfortunate that new players will never be able to explore these events for themselves nor claim the rewards (including the event-exclusive weapons)
There are two types of Bosses, World Bosses that you can fight pretty much without limit (besides the resin costs for rewards), and Weekly Bosses (of which there are currently eight I believe? most unlock through main Archon Story, but a few are locked behind the Archon Story Quests.
The Teapot is basically the Sims without character creation, you just can add up to a limit of eight characters(it builds friendship level without you needing to use those characters). It has different realms based off the current available nations, other than Fontaine as the Fontaine Teapot Realm is currently not out...)

every last update befor a major x.0 update is the summerfestival with own map (1.6 first GAA, 2.7 second GAA, 3.8 mirage)
I know youi arent a gatcha person but there is so much this game has to offer even without the gotcha. you can do the story with just the free characters, plus as a new player you get so much in the way to play the gocha system and get characters. I am a "sorta f2P" i just get the welkin each month to support the game. Still worth a shot

Bruh i started playing during 2.7 (inazuma end game), but for some reason the lantern rite ost always gave me a sad , tear and joy at the same time... It's like imaging a show like one piece, u know it's so damn long , u wanna get more to see the conclusion but u don't wanna see the end either, ig this is the "memories" typa song but genshin😅

other than Character Demos, Version trailers, and Character teasers, there's also Story teasers (But if you want to play the game, i suggest to not see it as you will see it when you play the story) and Collected Miscellany (A demonstration of the characters skills and a little bit of their lore)
There's also an Interlude called "A Winter night's lazzo" That you can watch after finishing Act 2 of the story
Visions are explained very early on in the game, during the prologue. Basically, a select few people are given Visions by the Archons. A Vision is basically a device that allows the owner to use elemental powers. The main character is the exception - able to use elemental powers without having a Vision, and able to switch elements at will.
The Fatui developed their own versions of Visions called Delusions. They can do the same things as Visions, but unlike Visions they can be dangerous to the user. They can be likened to performance enhancing substances: they can give you an edge but the more you use them the higher the risk of severe side effects.
Archons don't give visions. And not select few get them. Ordinary people can recieve visions too.
there has been a lot of conversation between players about the lack of permanent repeatable content for a long time and no engagement with the conversation from the developers, the story, world and character roster get very regular updates (every 6 weeks theres a version patch, every 12 weeks is a new portion of a region, new characters are sprinkled in) but all of the really engaging gameplay content comes from the early game exploration, story quests and limited events. once you catch up the main quest and side quests there is nothing to do except 5 minutes of chores a day while you wait months at a time between crumbs of something to do.
