As a 1.0 player, the weirdest part is realizing that apparently none of the breaks I took lasted a full patch. I love seeing the evolution of videos as the game progressed. Super nostalgic to go through all of these.
I tried 5 times before they removed the storm (including planting a teleport and have people who joined my world fall in the stormy water lol)... also tried to GTA the boat... when I finally triggered the bug and stole it... I triggered by accident one boat summon.
I agree with you about Sumeru so much. Still my favorite region, story and cast out of all (and music of course). It set the tone for everything after but it's always going to be my personal favorite
when i get older i will still remember the first time i saw the raiden shogun pulling the sword out of her chest in that trailer ppl went crazy, some screamed, others cried, some of them even died, history was made... it was pure hype lol
I always love the version trailer reactions because the music for them is so good and is IMO the best part of it. I also love listening to the arrangements they come up with for each character's demo music that they insert into the soundtrack. That's the one thing I miss with the Natlan version trailer because it doesn't seem to have that any more.
The last 4 years since I started playing Genshin, all the way back in the very first days, have been truly incredible. Each trailer was such a massive hype train. The first days of Dragonspine felt like an entirely different game back then, and since so few people had 5 star artifacts, most were holding onto random 4* artifacts with mostly 3 stars and since we had no real clue what we were doing (Physical DPS Xiangling was considered S tier) it was basically the first *real* challenge for overworld content. It was around about when Kazuha released that we really started figuring out how the game actually worked iirc, especially because that was around the time we all started getting higher Adventure Ranks. Inazuma was also such major hype, the Fatui Hydro Maiden and Ei lit the fandom on fire (me included) and yes, there was a lot of barking for Yae.
Ahhh, the first reveal of “The Final Calamity” was something else too, I still sometimes go back to the trailer just to bear witness once more 42:54 That is one hell of a coincidence lmao, Venti was my very first banner five star. Although Mona was the first I got in general, Venti was the first I pulled for back then. Barely got him before the banner changed lol
Rememberimg the lantern rite just puts tears on my eyes, those were the good ol days. Also 2.5 is by far my personal favourite, the way Kokomi starts the description of what is happening on enkanomiya, the discovery of the reptilians in genshin and how the gods destroyed the people that were descendants of the originals dragons. Not to mention that this version is the one were we got the raiden boss fight, Ann Yatco did a SPECTACULAR job with the voicelienes
In 2.2 Childe finally got his signature weapon! At his release and rerun before he didn’t have one💀 2.3 is also the first time we got double banners with albedo and eula!
I started playing on December 9, 2020, during 1.1. Missed the Unreconciled Stars event by 10 days roughly. Sometime during December, I took a three week hiatus before delving deeply into the game in 1.2. Haven’t stopped playing since then. I still remember the time when Dragonspine wasn’t available yet. Man… Almost all the trailers are major nostalgia to me. The hype was real back then. 2.3 is still one of my top favorites because Albedo lore was peak.
While not day one, I started in 1.2 meaning my first clean patch was the original Lantern Rite which will always hold a special place in my heart. I still remember the hype around 2.0 and I must've watched the trailer for it a dozen times before release. The 3.0 trailers theme still gives me absolute chills.
1.3 is a bit of a weird trailer, that's also when Hu Tao was released, but she's nowhere to be seen in the trailer, just her weapon. If I remember correctly, it was because of a Chinese holiday where it's considered disrespectful to talk about things related to death.
Honestly, the version trailers have the best music arrangements. They are so good at seamlessly transitioning environmental music, character themes, and boss music, while keeping up the presentation of the game in a dramatic way. 4.0 trailer is my probably my favorite.
It's so fun hearing you talk about your journey in Genshin through these trailers-- both through the music you reacted to, as well as the game itself! It's so fun knowing you have the same sentiments as any other player! I also really like they fit the music when it transitions between new character showcase! My favorites were the ones they did between Ayaka-Yoimiya-Sayu (22:07) and Wanderer-Faruzan (1:04:30) ! Did you have a favorite trailer among them from the animation/story/music? What a wonderful reaction! And definitely nostalgic for many! May you continue to have more fun in game as Teyvat continues to open up for us! ps. Sumeru enjoyers unite!!! 💚 pss. 1:00:08 They release separate OSTs for trailers so you can hear 3.2's OST in "Footprints of the Traveler vol2"! ruclips.net/video/l2qHL3e7uuI/видео.html
They uploaded the lantern rite cutscene 1.3 about 10 months before the game started. Have you see nit? That is my fav lantern rite.. I started on 1.2 but Ganyu banner, and since i kniw nothing about the game, i missed my change to get festering desire.. In 1.6 maguu kenki just sitting down and wont actived for some couple of days , so players took pictures a lot beside him before he wake up when he had been activated😆
If you wanna know what the player experience was like at the start, you should watch akashot's videos. He has a video for the 1.0 experience and 1.1 to 1.6 experience.
@@Samizardoh, there's more. 1.2 hypostasis event was way more tough. Basically the same but, basically, without any good gear because the game had just started.
I'd like to do more with my teapot than use it for rewards and friendship points but...I play on Playstation and using a controller to arrange the furniture and stuff is just too tedious so I don't bother. Even though I keep saying, "oh I'll totally make something cool with all this furniture I've built..." lol
Even though 4.1 had the worst fontaine archon quest, the trailer is still one of the most hyped trailers that hoyo has produced imo. I'm not lying when I say I was literally shaking in excitement after watching it for the first time as it dropped. I even have the trailer ost on my spotify playlist.
I've been a 1.x player, i must say i felt old enough to follow the quests from AQ 1.0 till now 5.0 and it really made me felt like im being part as a Traveller that travel Teyvat... It made me play during pandemic that being part of it til' now
I missed the first Windblume too but all I hear from people at least back then is that the mini games were fun so hearing you say that really took me out 😅
Was a 1.0 player but stopped due to my phone having broken then returned 10 days before 1.6 ends. Missed quite a lot from the summer event. I didn't get Barbara's skin. Then played straight from 2.0 to 3.8 on PC. While I was active for most of the 4.0 patches I didn't play the Archon quest yet but I played the event quest.
Samizard: ah, mondstadt music has really something! Ooh, I love Liyue music Wow, these handdrums in inazuma. Awesome Ahh, enkanomiyas music is so beautiful Chasm's music is well done and haunting Sumeru music! My favourite! Ooh, the music, man! Ha, it's XY theme!! 😂
I was playing in 1.2 and stopped playing in 2.0 and I restarted playing when Fontaine started but I realised I’m way to behind since I can’t even leave inazuma
Noooo the Inazuma quest blocking is CRAZY. They’ve made some changes to allow quick travel to the new areas, but you’ll probably have to clear your current Inazuma quest before you can leave
Lantern Rite makes me so nostalgic and soft, oh dear. I started playing in 1.2 (but I was still learning the mechanics of the game/video games in general and didn't realize the Festering Desire event was limited, so I didn't finish it in time 🥲) but 1.3 was my first version update/special program where I actually got to see what was coming and wait excitedly for maintenance to be over ❤❤
OMG! You spot on my heartbreak! I started in 2.3 and it pains me that I wasn't able to experience Albedo's event quest and get Festering Desire. That's one goated weapon. 🥲
To be fair Fetering Desire only got someone you would like to use it on with Furina, other characters have multiple 4 star weapons they would prefer over it. It being er substat and mainly buffing elemental skill is only useful on Furina who needs the er and mainly does damage with her skill. The other Sword characters who mainly deal damage with their skill are Alhaitham and Albedo, both who the er is poorly used on and have far better alternatives.

Ay day1 gang (technically day3 i was ordering a new phone online and i got it on sep 30)
As a day 1 enjoyer, I legit got teary eyes getting all emotional seeing all these nostalgic trailers.
1:00:12 They do actually. Version trailer tracks releases in 'Footprints of the Traveler' albums. I drive listening to them all the time.
24:04 i remember how i tried to get to inazuma with my kaeya, almost got there, but was struck by lightning and teleported back
I tried 5 times before they removed the storm (including planting a teleport and have people who joined my world fall in the stormy water lol)... also tried to GTA the boat... when I finally triggered the bug and stole it... I triggered by accident one boat summon.
As a 1.0 player it has been quite a journey through all these updates. So much has changed since then. :)

It’s still crazy to me that Scaramouche appeared in version 1.1 event but most players don’t see him until 2.1
Man the "World forget me" makes me tear up every time .... and I am a grown up man
YOOOOO YOU COOKED WITH THIS, almost 2 hours 😭
It was 2+ hours before editing 😵💫
Rememberimg the lantern rite just puts tears on my eyes, those were the good ol days.

Genshin holds a very dear place in my heart. I love it! ❤❤❤ So much nostalgia is hitting me left right and center now.
24:00 I'VE BEEN THERE GENDALF. The amount of hype 2.0 version generated is still unbeatable as I remember
In 2.2 Childe finally got his signature weapon! At his release and rerun before he didn’t have one💀

This was one of the most wholesome reactions I've seen
I remember when inazuma came out me and my brother were so excited our first new nation it's so nostalgic seeing the older teasers so many memories 😭
4:51 you could watch it though

My main is Yanfei and I take her everywhere. When you found your "Yeah, that's my girl." moment, that's where you get hooked by the game.
3.0 is still my favorite version trailer, and a lot of that is because the music goes SO hard. 5.0 and 4.2 are strong contenders though.
It's so fun hearing you talk about your journey in Genshin through these trailers-- both through the music you reacted to, as well as the game itself! It's so fun knowing you have the same sentiments as any other player!

1.6: If you hate Maguu kenki, you will hate the event in 1.6 more, they are insanely difficult that you really need to whale + food to maximize score
Glad I missed that one 😅
@@Samizardoh, there's more.

Glad I actually started playing at like- 3.6 xD

It also made me cried for nostalgia especially Yu chen OSTs and events that passed every version ❤
To me, the top version trailers are 3.0, The Morn of a Thousand Roses Bring, and 4.2, The Masquerade of the Guilty.
I missed the first Windblume too but all I hear from people at least back then is that the mini games were fun so hearing you say that really took me out 😅

You know what quest needs to be infinitely replayable? Golden Slumber.
lmaoooo stop it
Mfw when the enraged earth will not absolve me:
Oh we both started on 2.6 lol
Like you, I entered this beautiful world in 2.6, Ayato is my first 5 star, I am honored.😂
Ayyyye that's so cool!
Interestingly my C6 Yelan journey is same as yours lmao. F2P C6 Yelan ❤️

Sorry, AYEzh-da-ha is how everyone even ingame pronounce it.
They also say Prinzessin der Verütelung and yet it's so wrong it makes my nails roll back...
1:24:03 i really never agree..it was not dragged. just a bit slow
im gonna say this much, signora just isnt gonna come back
Looks at woman and her pet: "Lesbian Lovers" 😂😂😂😂
Sumeru is GOAT in all sector.
