Looks like the top isn't very crusty. I wish there were more bread makers like the Zojirushi which has a top element. I'm always having to finish my bread in the oven to get a good crust with my Panasonic as well. It would be nice if it included a Rye bread paddle. I do however like the menu system, collapsible paddle and that it beeps after the final knock down. Is the collapsible paddle still working well? (Some people report issues)
Ryan Burr collapsible paddle still working fine tho it’s a good idea to give it a wiggle every now and then to listen it up. I’m 99% certain that the loaf made in the video was set to the lowest crust setting (since that’s what I always use) so it can be crustier.
@@DTSquared Thanks for the reply! Good to know it can be crustier and the paddle still works ok. In my experience though even set to dark crust, bread makers inevitably still undercook the top; it's just a consequence of their design.
No I've never oiled the tin or paddle. The only oil that goes into the machine is as part of the recipe and often I use packet mix bread which I guess has some kind of fat in it but I'm certainly not oiling the inside of the tin deliberately. The bread comes out easily every time, just by turning tin upside down and shaking. I always do this within half an hour of the bake finishing. Most times there's a bit of bread stuck under the paddle but not much and it comes out easily once left to cool down and harden a bit. Hope that helps.
I'm looking into purchasing one of these. Your video answered most of my questions. Thank you very much
Thanks. Glad it helped
Thank you so much for your video and presentation !
Much appreciated !
You're welcome. Glad you liked it.
you are welcome and thanks for the clip
you should say that the machine is designed to also beep as a stage before the cooking stage which enables you to remove the paddle completely.
Great advice Lee, Thanks for adding it to the comments for others to see. :-)

Do you ever oil the tin or the paddle or does the loaf always come out easily at the end please?
