Got one on the way can’t wait to pick it up. Buddy of mine is giving me the tx and a couple rx. He wound up with two lol. He pre ordered one and then the next day one shows up for him to review. Haha
Looking forward to the review... not sure I want tracer yet, but being a fan of tbs will probably get anyway lol ... if you go wow, this is unbelievable then I will be off to my local shop right away 🤙
Hey... do you think that Crossfire retrofit kit (the one that lets you take the internals from the Micro TX and turn it into a Nano-sized module) will work with Tracer as well? I JUST got the Tracer Micro last week, and my Taranis just died last night. Totally irreparably bricked. So I want to see if I can get the Tracer micro onto a Tango 2 bay adapter
Already have crossfire in several kwads, but wanna try tracer. Do you think flying the tracer and crossfire in the same flying day would cause some issues with flying/timing? For example, if I'm more used to it being faster on Tracer, when I go back to a crossfire kwad, will I feel the difference? Be super noticeable? Afraid I'd like tracers latency that much better that I'd want to upgrade all of my kwads to tracer, which I'd rather not due being heavily invested in crossfire already. What's your thoughts?
You know that latency when you go out about 1 km that’s the crossfire reducing the Latency. With tracer you do not have that feeling. It’s really hard to explain it’s more of a feel thing. Crossfire is awesome for long range. But for mid range and shorter tracer does have an advantage it just feels better
@@ViperFPV nah not yet, I saw a Peter the pentrator antennae replacement for the stock one the tracer came with. Like I was wondering if they made any other different ones
The latency difference is definitely noticeable. Even from crossfire to tracer you can tell. Or at least I can. 👍. But if you already have crossfire I would stay with it unless your looking for microseconds of time differences when racing.
@@elxero2189 I’ll soon find out. I don’t have dji but a few ppl I race with do and they all have tracer now mines on the way. Can’t wait to fully test it next to crsf.
Swetching from a slower protocol to faster one you won't notice the differ nice as much as as you will when you switch back to a slower protocol for crsf..try it

@@maelradec6766 crossfire does from what I’ve tested but I haven’t had a chance to really really test it. A bud of mine has both crsf and tracer. For racing I’d say tracer is king for distance full crossfire is king. Midrange is questionable.

Thank you for the intro. I just bought a Tracer Kit and had no clue how to get started! Now I'm flying!
Awesome!!
Got this coming soon
Have the emaxx hawk pro.
Can't get it to work with the radiomaster.
So hopefully this will do it
Just got mine. Very useful thanks!

I have the tracer starter kit in the mail, does it come with the clear heat shrink?
Yup
@@ViperFPV hell yeah, can't wait! I get excited for new tinkering and building 😂
what range we would get withtracer and its nano reciever on freestyle quads?
TBS was on top... and now there's ExpressLRS and I switched to it after I had tried it

Yes they sell a kit where u can put a micro Tx and add it to the back of the tango 2
@@ViperFPV nice. I haven’t seen the inside of a crossfire micro, wasn’t sure if the tracer micro has the same plug that they use
Will this work with my Taranis QX7?
Yes with the inverter mod. It comes with the inverter when you purchase a crossfire system or tracer.
@@ViperFPV now I’m going to have to look up tbs inveter mod

Just got the Tracer starter pack. I wired everything but I can't seem to get my radio to respond in Betaflight. What did I do wrong?
Have they come out with the after market ones yet?
I don’t think that will ever be possible, do u see crsf receivers aftermarket?

Can we use xm+ antenna on this receiver ?
Good question but I’m pretty sure the ufl is a bigger size then the ones on the frsky receivers so they would not fit.
Oh , ok thanks mate
I can confirm this. I was hoping maybe to use my bag of xm antennas as spares but the ufl connection is very tiny on the xm antennas
Amigo, Tbs tracer transmite tambem FPV ao mesmo tempo ?
nao, apenas radio

Can I use R1 and T1 ? Or does it have to be TX1 and RX1¿?
U can use r1 and t1 some Flight controllers have them labeled differently
thx!

pretty sure crossfire still has better penetration
