    3.37 wow, amazing movements, the double stamp to bow legged bent knee, half back lean and side wards point with a bit of a wobble. Stunning

    Funniest thing I've seen in 20 years!!!! Just happened to catch this on TV when visiting the UK. Funnier is that we saw a shire horse earlier that same day! I guess I'm due in 3 years!!

    I was at the filming of this show. It was a strange atmosphere in the room - everyone collectively seemed to understand that this was really smart but it was still awkward in a room full of strangers.

    one of the most delightful pieces i have ever heard in my life. I am addicted to it. I know it by heart but every few months i have to play it. I suppose in a way its like a great piece of music

    You used to get quality comedy routines like this back in the day. I’d probably see 10 or 11 decent comedy sets a year. Now you’re lucky to see 7 or 8.

      I'd say quality routines are more in the range of 9.4 - 10.73 sets a year, so it's not as dire as you think.

    Such brilliant eccentric and surreal humour. His ravings are a pleasure to hear. Who else could do stand up and take on the viewpoint of a Shire horses thinking. All the time with his leg up pretending to be a Shire horse. Wonderful, wonderful mind. I've seen Bill Bailey do this many a time. It hasn't stopped him having a successful career.

    from 7m50s on is one of my fave stand up bits ever. I love Paul Foot generally but keep coming back to see this skit in particular. I love his snort when auntie suggests the shire horse won't ever win The Derby.

    Funny how when looking for this my phone corrects it to "shite horse". Obviously auto correct thinks those homophobic narrow minded shire horses are shite as well as Mr.Foot.
    Seeing this in Edinburgh at ash in the attic I laughed so hard I had to walk out and catch my breath.
