Great video, and explanation- that q5 has the bang&o upgrade stereo system. That's why the mid bass driver is different, almost like built into an enclosure, along with the 3" you had to disconnect. If there's no 3" midrange, no need to remove speaker plug.
That was easy. If i have watched this earlier maybe i can DIY. Too late but my unit just brought to car dealer to fix that stock up glass door bcuz the tint just flip and Cause tha glass to stock. Thanks for the info.

Hey, did not explain why you are taking door panel off? Reason I am asking because I see dealer fixing front door panel for earlier owner from car fax. I wonder should I be worried.
I tinted the windows, so i take the door panels off to remove lower window channels/seals to get tint under the seal. It makes it way easier to tint when you have vehicles like this that have super tight lower seals and side seals. Job comes out way cleaner also.
Yes and probably more. As you can see from the location of the side mirror, it has to have bolts mounted somewhere behind the panel. I have never taken one off, but from my video, panel has to come off, and then see if you can find where the bolts are.
I've been considering attempting to remove the interior door handle panel as I've been getting lots of buzz and rattle during phone calls and with louder music. Has anyone experienced that issue on an '18 SQ5 and fixed it by dampening inside the door handle?
Has anyone every taken that off before?? You might have a broken fastener/door clip might be broken or missing. Those vehicles generally don’t rattle, unless something is loose
@@raiderman28 I'm talking about the long handle that you "rock back and forth" to get all the clips off. Mine rattles right there, especially when the phone rings. I think it's because my knee presses my body weight against that handle when I'm making right turns and over time that has loosened or broken something inside there.

That is why i remove the door panels and door seals. I tint under the seals, so it will never peel.
Well you had a good working technique but sort of cart tint here did'nt take out the glass.
I don’t remove the glass just the panels

Many shops will not remove panels, because its more work, or they don’t know how
