Interesting product for people who mass produce cards. It'll be interesting to see which stamp positioner stands the test of time. The MISTI has dominated the market for so long, it's difficult to imagine something else taking over. So far the one major problem in my eyes is the photopolymer mat. It's not going to last forever and altenew might not sell replacements forever. The MISTI doesn't have this issue.
I would think they would sell the replacements as long as they sell the stamping tool. This mat is genius! Works much better than the plastic “landfill” mats. Maybe they will make a bigger base stampwheel in the future also.
Mindy, you’ve created gorgeous flora cards! I appreciate being able to watch you put these cards together step by step, with detailed explanation of the new stamp platform, because it makes it less intimidating. I’m going to be watching designers using this a bit before I commit.
Thank you for the introduction and demo of the Stampwheel. I have the Tim Holtz stamp platform, a Stamparatus, a memory-sized Misti, and just received my Stampwheel today. I mostly use my Tim Holtz platform - that was the first one I got many years ago and I’m most accustomed to using it. Both it and the Stamparatus are EXCELLENT for layering stamps, especially if you want to make multiples. I’ve seen a couple of demos for the Stampwheel using it for layering stamps, which I have MANY of, so I’m excited to give it a whirl. I’m also looking forward to using the Stampwheel for stenciling - I haven’t found the perfect stenciling solution yet, but I think this sticky mat might be the answer.
You are easy on my ears, very important to be able to continue to listen and it is soothing. You are also very real, no pretentious, so you come off as a very “real’ to the listerners that have preconceived ideas of your excelled abilities (how in the world can this person really know my own personal issues???)l. You admit to your own less than perfect ways, sometimes not as conventional as others…and THAT makes me feel normal and I become hopeful that others as yourself make mistakes like I do. Of course we realize that when videos are created, they can be highly edited and look perfect, sometimes making me feel there is no way I can come out with the same result. So your honest and plain talk and little tricks you use to overcome goofs inspires me….hey, I can do this too. So I want to thank you for your very humane talking over the video. You are relaxed, realistic and give us avenues to be able to overcome and “try” to fix any missteps we may take. Thank you so much for not being the instructor that life’s in the ivory tower, working like perfect, but instead….you are very real and encouraging. And your use of the new tool, the stamping wheel, demonstrates to me it may not be perfect the fist time, but with a bit of practice it can be better than we have every realized before. Thank you Mindy. You are my new favorite designer. You present yourself, humble, helpful and desirable to listen to and watch and you have already helped me so much. Sorry to be so long winded, and will not be so in the future, but had to express the fine qualities you have to attract hearing ears and watchful eyes to encourage and help overcome any mistakes we make make at first. But then that is what it is all about. It is just that sometimes some of the highly edited voice-over videos give an entirely different impression. You have acquired a longtime viewer and supporter. There were actually two that really impressed me today out of those that demonstrated the stampwheel today…you and Jaycee. Jaycee is the advanced course!!! That man is astonishing! He brought out how the markings on the wheel helped in making the stamps. Appreciate the expertise of you both!
Thank you so much! I read through the whole comment and appreciate everything. Its a fine line sometimes whether to leave in mistakes, not because I want people to think I'm perfect lol but more-so because if someone is going to recreate the card, I want the process to be smooth. But yes, I make tons of mistakes lol .. And while in person I'm actually a chatter box, I know my time is limited and everyone's time is limited so I try to get to the point of the video. Thank you again for your kind words and taking the time to express yourself. Hugs! Oh and yes- Jaycee did an amazing job with the Stamp Wheel! I learned a lot ❤️
I was glad to hear they might be coming out with replacement sticky mats I know some inks really stain and are hard to remove, so that would be really nice!
Thanks for an honest review. Each tool has pros and cons. I like the ability to layer dtamps, but am concerned about holding and placement of the wheel since I have limited fingertip control.
I am really excited to try this with layering stamps - I have hated the last two layering stamps simply because I couldn’t align properly and didn’t have the flexibility offered with the stamp wheel (and setting up both sides of the wheel! The second reason I chose this was for stenciling! Great demo - I too don’t believe this has to replace my Misti or Tim Holtz stamp platform - tools are evolving and I for one am thrilled!
Perfect timing! Mine came today so l’ll be playing with it tomorrow. I think it’ll be so helpful for scene building & keeping multiple stamps all on the board so you don’t have to switch them back & forth. Or doing mass producing where you might want to change just 1 or 2 things for a difference if they’re going to a family that you know they’ll all be seeing each others’ card. Both your cards are gorgeous, as always. I have SO many tools & l have uses for all of them, this l consider another wise investment for my collection. Thanks for the dandy demo! 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏼🙏🏻💖
Thanks! Great video. I purchased it right away. First thing I did wish was that it was larger also. I’m happy to hear there will be replacement sticky mats. I will have a second for stenciling if I need it. And I may use it for my other tools also! Maybe even piece it together inside my other stamping tools.
I see this tool as an addition not a replacement, too, Mindy! This is exactly what I was looking for - your layering tips are phenomenal! With gorgeous results! =]
You might try Ink3 Ink Off Stamp Cleaner on the mat. It might clean your mat. It cleaned some WELL LOVED red rubber stamps I bought at a garage sale. They were so well loved (probably years of all kinds of ink) it did take a couple of cleanings but they did come almost new.
This has a lot of great features. One of the things I'm having a hard time grasping, having only seen this in videos, is how does the stamp not come into contact with the paper while you're getting the plate lined back up and in place?
Great video and pretty cards as always Not sure about this tool seems like a lot of steps also I noticed that you were still holding the card stock could be just habit I have the misti and love that but this tool is something I would think about getting just on the fence now Omg just saw the price think I’ll stick with what I have lol
Do you know if the circular plate will be available to purchase separately. I have a stamping platform from a different company that comes with 2 top plates. I find I like to use both at Tim’s for mass productions.
How heavy is that top piece that you flip? Is it glass or plexiglass? I could see myself messing up my stamped images, until I got used to it for sure!
Thank you Mindy. But for Australia the price point is too much. It is $170. Secondly for a person like me, I travel with my craft supplies.. its large! I would consider getting the photopolymer mat… that’s very clever. Also is the photopolymer the same as their stamps? As my oldest stamps from Altenew age, they are getting brittle… cleaned properly, stored in original package … could be the very dry climate, but will it be the same problem?
THat is a very interesting point about the mat. Unfortunately, I do not know the answer to that but it is something I would suggest emailing the company directly about. Thanks !
Very pretty cards today, I especially love the soft green one. It would also make me irritated to stain the mat. 🤥. I know it doesn't matter, but it would bother me.

Beautiful cards! Thanks for the info!
Well I am sold on the unique usefulness of this stamp wheel! I am enjoying your demo very much. You are an excellent teacher!
Thank you so much!
GREAT info Mindy!! My Stampwheel is supposed to arrive TODAY!!🎉
Have fun!
Looks like a fantastic tool ! I already have two others so not sure that I will invest in yet another one.

Beautiful cards and definitely appreciate your candor🤗🤗

I don't think i could ever completely give up my magnetic work staytion for stencils. Creature of habit lol
As always, beautiful cards, Mindy!
I got mine yesterday and I love it. I just have to practice. Of course I will still use all of my Misty's, they can't be replaced. Such a great video.
Mindy, thank you for sharing on layers stamps. Amazing cards.

Great explanation/demo of this tool. I also like Altenew layering flower stamps. Beautiful cards.

Love, love, love your cards and can’t wait until my stampwheel arrives.

Beautiful card. Thank you looks like a great tool.
Thank you for the illustrations. I see the Stampwheel as a vital tool and I’m anxious to work with it.
A very interesting product! Thank you for demonstrating the Stamp Wheel for us!
Thank you for a real nice description of how to use it. Love the cards.
Beautiful card! Thank you for sharing how you use this tool!

Glad it was helpful!
Just loved every bit of this video❤ thanks for your efforts ❤
Thank you so much 😀
Thank you Mindy. You did a great job showing how this tool works. Love the card👍❤️
Thanks ! I'll check it out!
Beautiful cards and valuable insight. Thank you, Mindy!
Such a thorough, helpful demonstration on how to use this product. I’m adding it to my crafty wish list! Thanks so much!
Beautiful card! Your video really helped me see how the stamp wheel can be used.Thank you for sharing!
This has a lot of great features. One of the things I'm having a hard time grasping, having only seen this in videos, is how does the stamp not come into contact with the paper while you're getting the plate lined back up and in place?
I start by lining up the bottom corners and then lay it down. Somehow it works lol
Mindy, I am so happy you demonstrated this today. I received mine today and I love it.❤️
Beautiful card as always! ❤️
Hope you enjoy it!
I’m anxious to try this platform for stamping. Mine just arrived today!Especially after seeing how you were able to layer stamps so easily…
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this new tool. Looks fantastic! And your cards are so beautiful!
Fabulous cards 🥰 I love your honest review and your card designs ❤ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx
My stamp wheel is on its way to my house so I really appreciated the extra tips you provided in this great video. Your card is beautiful! 💞
You are so welcome!
I ordered mine yesterday. Can't wait to try it out. Beautiful cards, Mindy.
Have fun!
Thank you for the instruction!
Great review! Great cards!
Thank you for sharing your video
Great video and pretty cards as always

I have the misti and love that but this tool is something I would think about getting just on the fence now
Omg just saw the price think I’ll stick with what I have lol
haha yeah holding my cardstock is out of habit. not sure what to do with my hand otherwise lol
I would think this mat would make things come out better since it’s a soft surface and has Cush under the paper
Do you know if the circular plate will be available to purchase separately. I have a stamping platform from a different company that comes with 2 top plates. I find I like to use both at Tim’s for mass productions.
I'm sorry- that I do not know. I would suggest emailing the company and offering the suggestion if that is something you are interested in . :-)
How heavy is that top piece that you flip? Is it glass or plexiglass? I could see myself messing up my stamped images, until I got used to it for sure!
it's like plexiglass i think? not sure of the actual material but it is NOT glass lol and really light weight
Thank you Mindy. But for Australia the price point is too much. It is $170. Secondly for a person like me, I travel with my craft supplies.. its large! No one has mentioned the grippers on the back. I think that’s a plus. I can’t understand why no one has mentioned it.
i think sometimes its easy to overlook what's on the back. I notice it because I'm working on a glass surface and it helps it not slide around :-)
