For those who can't get their scanner to find a fault, try unticking everything except SRS in the scan, it won't find anything but still press 'clear' anyway and the light woll hopefully go off

You're an absolute Lifesaver! I had the airbag light from replacing my head unit and forgetting to connect the warning light before switching the ignition on - I had that warning light for over a year! Bought the reader from your link, installed the app you recommended, and five minutes later it's gone for a grand total of £20. Thank you so much!

Hello mate! I did the exact same thing and the fault popped up after installing the headunit. However, the app doesn't read the airbag error. Could it be because the cable under the hazards button is not properly connected? If i disable the passenger airbag from the glovebox the light "off" under the hazzards button comes on so I'm not sure if that could be the reason. Was that the same situation? Is that the "warning light" u talked about?
Thanks in advance if u could enlighten me a bit!
Thank you for your comment and also to David for the very helpful video nontheless!

@@firebuild5606 I got the airbag symbol on the dash and the 'Airbag Fault' warning in the centre of the display as you'll see at the beginning of the video - both of those cleared after I used the codereader and app. I've since sold the golf, though - so I'm afraid I can't help any further!
