Jay & Amber, you'll love their "Shattered"!!!
My favorite Stones song!🙂
Oh yasssss!!
You're literally just scratching the surface of The Rolling Stones...and I'm here to take this journey with you guys
Saw them on the Steel Wheels tour in the early 90’s. I remember thinking how fortunate I was to catch them on what would surely be their last tour. 🤣
Well, it was Bill Wyman's last tour.
And we thought they were old back then! Lol
STEEL WHEELS Tour in 1989 was the 1st time for me.
Now up to 9!!
Never got to see them live, but aren't they on tour right now?
I saw that tour, paid 175 for floor seats, which I splurged on. 😂
How much today? 😳 Glad I saw them then.
I saw the Rolling Stones in Hawaii in 1973. It is mind-blowing to see that 80-year-old Mick Jaggar and the band are still rocking & rolling with the same energy level they had back in the '70s.
And Keith will always be the Ultimate Rock Star!!!!!
What Rolling Stones mood are you in? Here's a quick guide, although this list is by no means exhaustive.
Beautiful ballad: "Angie"
Sraight-driving rock: "Rocks Off"
Punk(ish): "Shattered"
Disco(ish): "Miss You"
Classic blues: "Love in Vain" (a Robert Johnson composition)
Serial killer: "Midnight Rambler" (especially the live version found on the Hot Rocks 1964-1071 album)
Devastating heartbreak: "I Got the Blues"
Country music kiss-off: "Dead Flowers"
Feeling elegiac: "Moonlight Mile"
Honky Tonk: "Honky Tonk Women"
Mick being Mick: "Jumping Jack Flash"
Give Keith a chance: "Happy" (Keith takes lead vocal duty)
"Brown sugar", "Fool to cry", "Get off of my cloud"
A 1989 classic out of their Steel Wheels album. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were both 46. This was their comeback record after being apart for personal/professional differences and a mid-80s slump.
Rolling Stones - Undercover of the Night!
Similar rhythms.
Late ‘70’s and early ‘80’s Rolling Stones are my favorite timeframe for their music.
YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT CAN'T YOU HEAR ME KNOCKIN', BROWN SUGAR, MIDNIGHT RAMBLER(LIVE), STREET FIGHTINGMAN, GIMME SHELTER (LIVE WITH LISA FISCHER), SHATTERED, FAR AWAY EYES, GET OFF OF MY CLOUD, UNDER MY THUMB, IT'S ALL OVER NOW, AND MORE!
From the same album, check out their last top 10 hit, Mixed Emotions". Like this one, they're on blast from start to finish. Charlie's drums and Keith's guitar drive this one along, with Mick being....Mick!
Around the time this video came out, a historical documentary on the Stones came out, entitled " "25 X 5"--to represent the 25 years that five band members (at one time or another) made up the group.
Amber & Jay, I'm gonna admit, this was my first time hearing this song from The Rolling Stones n it was bad ass. Luv the tempo of the music, it had a little bit of Rock Funk in it. This is going to my playlist for sure. Thanks for the reaction.
"One Hit (To The Body)" and "I Go Wild" are bangers.
I love One Hit to the Body.
Jimmy Page plays the solo on One Hit To The Body!
Saw them in 98, they blew us away COMPLETELY. The Stones are the GOAT. (We bribed a guard to get on the field!!) 😂
Great reaction you two! Nice to see someone cover a lesser known but still great song. ✌
This single came from the big 1989 comeback album "Steel Wheels" . They hadn't toured since 1982 after falling out. Mick and Keith had recorded solo albums and even played separately at the big Live Aid charity concert. When they toured the Steel Wheel, they added more backing musicians for the tour and sounded a lot more polished and tighter than ever before. I enjoyed the slightly looser feel to the band from the previous 1981/82 tour but the 1989 band energy was not taking any prisoners.
I love Dancing with Mr.D, on the Goats Head Soup album.❤❤❤❤
Goat is my favorite Stones record. Absolutely amazing.
Ahhh the Steel Wheels tour....it was huge....'89....and we thought they were old back then!! Lol
“Doo doo doo doo doo (Heartbreaker)” is one of my favorite Stones songs. Check it out! (It’s nothing like Sting’s song with a similar name)
80s STONES...STILL LOVED THEM!!! FIRRRRE!!!!❤❤❤
Great song. Great reaction. You guys are so right that there are so many more Stones songs out there and favorites depend on what mood we are in. For an all time favorite I can never choose between Monkey Man and Can't You Hear Me Knocking. Sometimes I need to hear No Expectations, Salt Of The Earth, Fool To Cry or Far Away Eyes. 60 years and still going strong. Keep listening to the Stones.
Greatest Rock n Roll band ever 🤘🤘
Memory Motel is a really great song by the Stones! Love your reactions.
High on my list of Fav Stones tunes! Mick laying it Down! Great Choice & Reaction, You Guys... :)
A long history of great songs. Some you could react to include Get Off Of My Cloud, 19th Nervous Breakdown and Street Fighting Man. Thank you!
People, REACT to their REACTIONS! This is a reaction channel, not just a jukebox. Quit only making suggestions. Anyway, insightful reaction to an average Rolling Stones song. Your analysis made me appreciate the lyrics and musicality more. Thanks. Any song from the best rock band of all time is fine with me especially if it’s from Let It Bleed or Some Girls. Anything goes from these legends! 🤘🏼
I watched The Rolling Stones on the Ed Sullivan Show back in the 60’s around the same time he had all the British bands. They were new in the U.S. like all the others, screaming girls, such great times to be a teenager!👍👏👏👏♥️♥️
LOVE IS STRONG, ONE HIT TO THE BODY, UNDERCOVER OF THE NIGHT, these are newer Stones songs, only 25 years old, no sorry, 45 years old, the years go by quick.
I was lucky enough to get a ticket to one of the last concerts they gave for the first (and only) time in Montevideo, Uruguay. The energy displayed on the stage was unbelievable.
The Rolling Stone's best song later in their career. Just gets better over time ❤❤
I preferred Mixed Emotions.
“Can’t You Hear Me Knocking” is a must listen, can’t believe you haven’t picked it for a reaction yet
a lot of people at the time thought this would be their last album....they are still going
Steel Wheels is a great album. Great lyrics on this album.
MEAT LOAF - " Life Is A Lemon And I Want My Money Back " This ROCKS HARD. 8:00 minutes of Pure Rockin' 🎸 Roll , Non Stop it's So COOL and Creatively Amazing!
I saw the Steel Wheels tour and was in total awe of seeing them live for the first time. So glad you like the Stones. They are my favorite band! Please check out Under Cover of the Night
Jagger and Richards are 80 years old, the longest running rock band in the world.
You guys have done some great Stones’ songs already-one of their “newer” ones to try would be “Love is Strong”. As for older stuff, “It’s All Over Now” is a classic.
I remember hearing It's All Over Now on my little transistor radio when listening to the new 'hit parade'. And its been a favourite Stones song ever since.
You like horns and guitar solos then you should check “B*tch” by The Rolling Stones
Brown Sugar? Moonlight Mile? Memory Motel? Get off of My Cloud? Dare I say it? - Some Girls? And so many more.
Off the Steel Wheels album in '89. The Song you called "later" Stones was 35 years ago. Saw them on that tour at the astrodome.
1st time I saw them was in '82 on the Tattoo You tour. Van Halen opened. People thought that would be their last tour and they weren't even 30 😮
I'm probably the only one but this is my favorite Stones song.
One of the few I truly like from them.
Mick Jagger is 80 years old and he still jumps around like a wild man.
You should do “Rock Me Baby,” a song they did with AC/DC…it’s epic. Keith Richards and Angus Young playing guitars together…it’s awesome!
Do “Brown Sugar” as well. Good Stones song. Have you did “Paint it Black”? It’s good too.
As for AC/DC, do “Ride On.”
This is older Stones, sure. But this was 35 years ago and they’re still going. 😃
Daryl Worley - I Miss my Friend. Incredible song and video. Jeff Healy Band - Angel Eyes
Saw them on this tour in 1989 at Shea Stadium. Thought it was possibly their last tour. HA!
They had that stadium literally shaking. The concrete below my feet was actually bouncing from the crowd. It was crazy to feel that sensation, but soooo cool! I’ll never forget that show.
Hope we are getting one female artist today. 3 out of 21 reactions a week is not enough.
I'm going to see the Stones again in Denver in June. This will be my 7th concert going back to the mid 70s.
Great Reaction Guy's,The Rolling Stones Are The Best 💯
I listen to all kinds of music, but I was a Stones superfan without a doubt. You're right, they have a song for every mood. Want something mellow and bluesy (with a killer organ solo from Billy Preston)? You might like "I Got the Blues." But, if you want to rock out with Keith Richards singing lead (a real treat), you will love their song, "Happy."
There are a lot of bands that are great studio bands and many bands that are great live bands but the Rolling Stones are at the top of the list for both great studio and great live - AND - they have the largest and most diverse catalog of bangers EVAH.
My favs from them Stones (aparto from the Steel Wheels album): "Love is strong" "Wild horses" "Lady Jane" "As tears go by" "19th nervous breakdown (there's an interesting bass trick, so long ago, that heavy metalers like)" "Under my thumb" "Play with fire" "Can't you hear me knocking" "Factory girl", and of course "Angie".
I'm kindly ready for a emotional rescue.Comes on the night kayana g h t when I got my shining arm around
😮😮😮 If you wanna go to LYUGH question mark railroad, I'll get to the Confederate C. OM FAD Ara TE railroad. They'll take it, you gotta catch the wide screen. Get the get the video trash. I'll try to try it again. Block by the Confederate railroad. Watching on the wide screen
The whole "Steel Wheels" album is a gem. Not a single song that I like less than the others. I recommend "Can't be seen" where Keith Richards gets to do lead vocals for the first time (almost thirty years into the band's history).
You mentioned that this is the "older" Rolling Stones. They made this video 35 years ago. Isn't that crazy!! ☺✌💛, PJ
I have some suggestions from other artists; The Kinks: Give the People What They Want, Billy Joel: Downeaster Alexa, Joe Satriani: Surfing With the Alien, Eric Clapton: Hello Old Friend, Led Zeppelin: Hot Dog, Elton John: Texan Love Song
Great song, great message, and as always, great reaction! 👍👍😊
The genius that is Mick Jagger sums up the entire modern world in the first sentence: "The fields of Eden, are full of trash. And if we beg and we borrow and steal we'll NEVER get it back!"....
The Rod Squad delivers great insight and has good taste in music 😊
loved this since it first came out 🔥🔥🔥
All the Stones are amazing. The stones are my favorite group.
Their comeback - I saw them at the Steel Wheels Tour, was really great!
The tour off this 1989 Steel Wheels album was called the Steel Wheelchairs tour, lol.
The RS's r the G.O.A.T. because there survived the ultimate test TIME!!!!
RIP Charlie Watts
Fool to Cry a beautiful song
Keith Richards & Ron Wood best riffers ever!!!
There are so many Stones songs, it's how many years? They've stayed relevant and successful.
This was MTV days, and I think a big change for them.
I would throw this on with volume cranked and my bf hated it, he couldn't break away from what he loved.
I just moved forward with them!
Have you done Shattered, Wild Horses, or Brown Sugar yet?
Midnight Rambler Live from a CD called The Brussels Affair. From Oct of 1973.
Jay and Amber Stones are my favorite. Check out Blinded By Love, Hold On To Your Hat, Terrifying All from the same album.
A hit that has held up - more or less - over time, from a period that produced few memorable tunes.
I thought this was a strong tune from them- I disagree about the time period comment- as a musician and professional singer. Between 1984-89, we had the greatest singers, writers, producers, melodies/strong hooks, performers, and musicians the music industry had ever seen at once- we were oversaturated with talent. The 90s experienced a huge devolving of music- "Guitarist" would only use 3-4 chords, the melody was practically destroyed, and after that was computer music. Maybe your observation is based on when you were born. But as a professional, the 80s was the epitome of serious talent that was open to all genres and both sexes (Minus the fun look of the 80s, the decade is unmatched by any other). Maybe you were just speaking of the RS catalog, which in that case, what you said was true. Albums such as Under Cover (83), Dirty Work (86), and Voodoo Lounge (94) were head scratchers- not very good- in the middle was Steel Wheels (89) which was a solid effort.
Listen to Rolling Stones live Havana Moon. Song is Out Of Control
Lots of great Rolling Stone songs to go guys! React to "When The Whip Comes Down" or "Bitch". thanks.😎
"Street Fighting Man" all over again? Go Charlie! Try "Factory Girl". Thanks.
Please react to some songs of their latest album which came out in Oct called Hackney Diamonds.IMO its their best since Some Girls in 78 and has not gotten nearly enough attention! Sweet Sounds of Heaven,Angry,Live by the Sword ,Get Close,
Depending on You are all great choices and there are more. Mick Jagger is 80 and still a rockin! Rarely will an older band put out such great new songs but it happens and this album is in that category!
Don’t care for disco Stones much after Beggars Banquet, Sticky Fingers, Get Your Ya-Ya’s Out( live album),Exile on Main Street, Let It Bleed, and even Goat’s Head Soup. Would love to see you react to the live version of “Sympathy for the Devil” from Get Your Ya-Ya’s Out. Keep on rockin’!
Great Stones song. You'll also like One Hit To The Body.
great guitar work in this one
You did the single version instead of the longer album one which is better, it extends the more intense section. At any rate, one of my favorite Rolling Stones songs from any era.
MONKEY MAN, GIMME SHELTER, PAINT IT BLACK, PRODIGAL SON - it all depends on your mood - so right.
I would recommend covering every song from Beggar’s Banquet through Goats Head Soup before moving on to the later stuff. Almost every song is a gem on the run I just laid out 🤘
There’s so many classic Stones for yall to get to, but I like 90’s Stones too. Voodoo Lounge is still one of their best albums if you ask me. Check out “You Got Me Rocking” off Voodoo Lounge and “Saint of Me” off Bridges to Babylon. Many more jams off those two albums but start there if you wanna check out 90’s Stones.
I got to see the Stones in Birmingham Alabama back in 1989.Freaking awesome show.Wide Spread Panic opened for them and put on a great show also.
I was at the Stones show in Birmingham, Alabama at Legion Field in 1989. Widespread Panic did not open the concert that I saw. Living Colour was the opening act, and they rocked! Did the Stones play more than one concert in Birmingham, AL in '89?
🇬🇧 "Jumping Jack Flash" "Get off My Cloud" & "Brown Sugar". Just a few more from their extensive list of hits for you to try. 🎼
Fingerprint File is still a favorite. But a 90s favorite is Saint of Me.
Steel Wheels tour was the first time I saw them live and in July it will be the sixth time for their Hackney Diamonds tour ❤️ don’t think you have even touched on their last album … it is a great album . Do take a listen to Sweet Sounds of Heaven with Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder.. it is one of their masterpieces.
You have barely started to dive into the Stones!! Shattered!!
Amber, i really Dig your shirt.Keep rocking you guys.🥁☮☘
Here's a few: "Let It Bleed" "Monkey Man" "Memory Motel"
Hi, you two! It's Andrew Erroch fae Paisley in Scotland here. If you like their later songs, I'm going to suggest one I've suggested before. That is 'Undercover Of The Night' from 1983, a little bit earlier than this one. Try to react to the official promo video, if you can. Æx 🙏
Far away eyes ❤🙏🙏🙏
Have you reacted to the Stones with Keith Richards on vocal? It's different, but it's oh so good!! You really should try that! "Before they make me run", "Thief in the night" or "You got the silver" (must be the live version from the Beacon Theatre!) You won't regret it!! :)
I saw this tour, Steel Wheels...Living Color opened!
" Respectable " now thats a stones tune for you
This came out in the late 80's
2011 suggestion - "Miracle Worker" by Super Heavy. Mick Jagger was in Super Heavy along with Joss Stone, AR Rahman, Damian Marley and Dave Stewart (who was in The Eurythmics).
Yeah! ❤️✌🏻🎶
A couple of months til they hit Vancouver. And I am there!!
You need to listen to Oklahoma City own J.J. Cale How about the song Clyde, he plays electric bass
You must react to - can’t you hear me knocking!! Mick Taylor on last guitar
