Same. It's a timeless bag. I have the 25 and 30 monogram. I got my first one when I was a teen from my mom as a gift in Las Vegas! I wear them both regularly!

I bought this same exact bag 4 or 5 years ago and used it a lot the first year and then didn’t touch it for almost two. I did have regrets. But the past two years, I’ve used it a ton and it brings me joy to use it now… thankfully! My favorite way to wear it is over the shoulder with the strap, so the bottom of the bag hits at my hip (I’m 5’4). I use an organizer inside which I find essential. I’m in my early forties, mom of 4 and it suits my lifestyle. I also like that though I live in an area with LV everywhere, for whatever reason, I hardly ever see this bag. I also have a classic speedy 30 in DE and love it for the winters.
Wow! If you dislike your bag this much you should sell it. Personally , I love the Speedies.

I just pulled mine out this am. It’s from 2014 I believe and it feels great to wear it again. The patina is perfect and the handles are worn in which I love. I hope you make many memories using yours!
I bought this bag 5 years ago also. I used it a lot for several months and then it sat for a couple years. I almost sold it to FP but they rejected it due to having so many already in stock. I’m so glad now that I didn’t sell it. I’ve used it several times the past few months and it’s such a classic and practical bag.
I love Speedy B25❤ even though I rarely use it. I sometimes use it during the summer and autumn months. I can’t seem to let it go because I bought it as a remembrance when I first visited Paris. Souvenir I guess.❤

I just pulled mine out to use for work again and I still love my Speedy B25. I bought it in the Damier Ebene because it was my first handbag purchase from LV. I’m glad I bought it, it’s a great classic piece. I purchased for $2,310 in 2021 and Australias recent increase brought it up from $2,650 > $2,850!!! Don’t think I’ll ever let it go at this rate. 😅
I wanted this bag so bad a few years ago and now im glad i didn’t pull the trigger. I recently bought the speedy nano and its so cute
I believe it’s personal preference. I’m 5’6 & got the DE speedy 25b. I find it to be the easiest & most comfortable to wear. I don’t have issues with the strap, opening, or wear during inclement weather conditions. I actually gravitate to it because it’s an easy fit.

I’ve grown out of monogram for bags myself. I no longer like the “loud” look. I’ll keep getting monogram for SLGs because you don’t wear them. But for bags I’ll get a different design/look that isn’t so loud.
It’s definitely a classic, but you and I love a small bag. I think a speedy 20 or nano would be better suited for current lauren, even if you are not loving the monogram as much anymore. I totally get how you feel like it’s big! Compared to your other bags, it is massive!!

Same. I sold mine. I chose it over the Neverful. I eventually bought the Neverful and realized why everyone has it!! I love it!! Only complaint…I put way too much stuff in it. 😂

I bought my Speedy B 25 DE in Paris on impulse in 2016 after a few years of my designer 👜 journey. I had heard it was great, and it lived up to the hype. I used it for a good couple of years consistently. Then I had my first kid and didn’t use any of my designer bags. Now add another kid and my collection has evolved,but I never did go back to using the Speedy B much, unless I forced myself to use it. I thought maybe it was the pattern - as I’ve gotten older, I want more leather and subtle bags, so I bought the Cognac Empriente. While gorgeous, I used it a couple of times the first week I purchased it and then it just sat there. Ive come to the conclusion that what was once thought of as a Forever Bag in my collection is no longer. I plan to sell both Speedy B 25s in the next few months and purchase a Loewe Puzzle Bag Small in Tan to replace it. I think I’m going to love it as much as you do!
I love reading the comment section, because it’s so nice to read others experiences with this bag. Like you said, I think with life changes, our collection and tastes evolve. It’s a great handbag, just not for us anymore!
Came to this video as I'm also thinking of selling. I just got a small Puzzle as well as a mini Puzzle and LV is not really speaking to me anymore...
I recently sold my classic speedy 25 in the monogram print because it just became to loud to me and I now have the special edition speedy B25 in DE and I love it so much better because it’s more understated I like my slgs in monogram but not my bags however I will say that the speedy is a classic but you definitely don’t need more than one in your collection great video ❤❤
Ohhh! Congrats on your special edition! I wish I could got more use out the monogram while I still really loved the canvas, it just didn’t work out for me.
Ok yeah my Speedy B 25 handle did the exact same thing, and I didn’t want it to patina unevenly any further, so I took it back and they sent mine back to change out the handle and they ended up changing BOTH handles out to the regular Speedy handles that have the loops on both handles to hook straps too LOL fine by me! They are now both even handles and patina beautifully with hooks from the regular Speedy handles. Totally satisfied now, the 1 lighter handle, i couldn’t take it it was such a bother to me.
Ahhhh good to know! Glad you could get yours fixed! At this point, I think I’m just done with the handbag haha.

It drive me nuts and I would scrape my hard on the zipper every time I wanted to get something !

I’m looking at the Croissette and Speedy 20 . I definitely would like a DE bag as I’m not drawn to monogram also.
DE is much more understated! And you don’t need to worry about the watermarks!

While it’s definitely an LV classic, I’ve never been drawn to the Speedy. Though I do like the Speedy Nano, I’m guessing due to the small size , I could never see myself purchasing it.
I love my bags but, like you, I’ve been steering away from the monogram and have evolved into liking more subtle classic pieces.

Yes! The nano is quite cute and I wish they had that option at the time. The monogram definitely had a time and place in my life…but now, I hate how loud it is.

I think it's gorgeous and it always catches my eye....in reality I think it would be too large for me, but I still want one....sorta. 😂 I have a speedy 20 in empreinte leather and I love it but the shape feels a tad bulky when worn crossbody, so I know the 25 would annoy me. But again, I still sorta want one. Perhaps I need to visit a store and try one on... 😬 Anyway, good that you're gonna keep yours because it is a classic 👌🏾 as long as you're happy with using it a few times per year that's all that matters. 😊
Ohhh, I love LV’s empreinte leather…and the 20, I’m swooning over your bag! The 25 is quite big, but I think I just like really small crossbody bags 😂

I sold mine last year. I found it awkward and the opening drove me nuts. The zipper opening is too small! Never looked back.
I sold my Azur Speedy last year, I liked it ok, but wasn’t reaching for it a lot.
The opening is so tiny! And when it’s full, it’s even harder to get in and out of. When I read comments like this, then I think I should definitely sell it haha. If I had a Time Machine, I would go back and get something else.
My first LV was a 25. I just had to have it and went to the LV store in Boston and laid my $550 on the counter. I sold it a year later. Now the Speedy 30 B was a game changer and I have the monogram and Ebene.
I watched a video of a RUclipsr yesterday and she has the same issue with her handles. She said some of the vachetta is treated and some is not and she was taking it up with her SA. Video was over 5 years old.
The speedy is iconic and so easy to use I love it and the lv canvas being Loud lol 😂 that’s their heritage I just think you shouldn’t have bought it I LOVE MINE !❤

Doesn’t get anymore classic than an LV Speedy, since I’ll never may for a Chanel classic flap or an Hermes Kelly, I’ll stick with my Speedy lol

My first designer bag was the og speedy 25 ( not the bando )in ebene and then from there I lost my damn mind and bought all the bags 😂 but for some reason I never cared for the mono speedy until a few years ago when my hubby got this same one ☝🏽 with the bando and I love it ! I don’t pick bags apart tho .. some have unique characteristics, I do spray my vachetta and azur bags to avoid water marks and color transfer… but other than that I just wear them and say f it ! You only live once , if you don’t love it sell it and get something else you will like

You have to think of it almost as a starter bag to a collection. Tons of people love and have it. I have similar sentiments as you. However, it brings a lot of happiness to people, and they will die on that hill. It's also iconic to the house. I think it would be amazing to hand that down...

Yes! The zipper is honestly so frustrating. When it’s full, it’s even smaller.
Love my speedy b25 ! When I got my bag in the beginning of 2017 the price was $1439 here in Southern California. I don’t wear it as often as I would like to but would never get ride of it! Ever since I got the speedy 20 I just don’t reach for the 25. Thank you for the video 😊

I’ve had it in DE for 7 years. I think it’s great functionality wise, but I noticed tiny canvas cracks along the zipper 2-3 years ago. And I hate the cheap mismatched hardware. Definitely not worth the current price but I still enjoy the bag. I swore off LV after the canvas cracks but I caved. I agree about monogram being loud but I got the Noe bb in monogram a couple months ago. Now I’m just hoping the canvas doesn’t crack. So much easier to get in and out than the speedyb25.
Ahhh, yes the Noe is a great bag! I love my noe too and it’s so much more carefree. I agree, the current price isn’t worth it!
I have it i love it but i dont reach for it as much as I did 7 years ago i feel like being 37 years old to me it feels juvenile, i now have a more mature taste in purses my daughter will see getting some of my purses speedy will be one of them she will get it ina month as one of her birthday gifts.
YES! This comment exactly! I feel like as I’ve gotten older, I’ve outgrown the bag. Juvenile is actually the perfect term for it.
I got this same bag but in size 30 monogram last November 2022. Since then I’ve been going back and forth if I should have gotten the b25. However, I see a lot of comments about the 25 being “juvenile” looking and some women opt for the 30. So I’m like ok maybe I did make the right decision on the 30 for being 37 years old. Lol

I totally agree with you that the Monogram Speedy has become a bit tacky over the years. As a teenager I was obsessed with it and wanted to own one so bad but now I like the Damier version much more cause it doesn’t scream I HAVE A LOUIS VUTTON BAG and I also like that the brown handles wont show visible signs of wear - I don’t like at all how the virgin leather handles turn yellow. Also the Damier is actually the original LV canvas. All of that being said it still is a classic LV bag that will probably hold or increase its value over the years.

Speedy is a classic bag, I think you are more like a trendy/ IT bag girl so I can see why you don't like it much. If I were someone who doesn't own a lot of bags and just want to get a nice designer bag to use it all year round, I do suggest speedy.
I got my speedy b 25 in the Damier ebene and never have to worry about babying it. It's a great size and fits everything me and my boyfriend need lol After all these years buying and selling designer purses, I still reach out to my speedy most.
Also it's a classic bag not an IT bag so I know when I get old and look back at my photos of me carrying it, my grandkids are gonna think that their granny is stylish and classy 😂hahaha In fact my mom carried her speedy back in the early 80s and whenever I look at those photos I'm like "danng good choice". Wish she had kept them and pass on to me instead of just giving them out to random people 🥲 it would have been a really nice vintage piece.

I feel like Louis Vuitton is just over-saturated and overrated as a brand. Nearly everyone wears it, and back when I had the key pouch/key clay, even though I did get a fair amount of use out of it, I just never felt especially drawn to it. I hope I'm not coming across as being too judgmental here... the brand, in general, is just something I don't care for.
I guess it depends where you live..I live near Van and rarely see anyone carrying LV. Definitely rare!

It’s quite over saturated! I feel like I see it everywhere too! Even my students carry them, which is crazy! They could be fakes, but that also turns me off from the brand. The amount of super fakes available is on the rise!
