    This is my 2nd attempt at the LV Speedy B 25!
    In this video, I explain what happened with the first Speedy B I purchased and why I’m torn about this 2nd one!!
    I also talk about the differences between the older Speedy bags vs the newer ones. There are definitely some differences.

    Why is it so important to you where the handbag is made? Why not focus on the quality of the item?

      For me quality comes first. The first Speedy B I got was made in USA and it had white residue along the interior. I assume it was glue. I returned that and got this one from France with the wonky zipper, which I returned as well. I also had a key pouch made in the US that was terrible and I got a France one that’s perfect. I generally prefer made in France for French houses like LV and Chanel simply bc of the history and heritage (and sometimes the resale value) but if the quality is poor, I don’t care where it’s made, I send it back. I know some ppl think I’m too picky but I just don’t settle as I know exactly what makes me happy. I have LV pieces made in Spain that I chose over France items bc the quality was better, so the focus is always quality first. I don’t NEED any of these items in my life so yes, I’m quite picky. Hope this answers your question.

      My first pochette metis (reverse) was "made in the US" & I've had it 2 1/2 years..beautiful condition. Many thought it was "made in France" because they had quality issues with their US bag. I ordered the mono pochette metis 2 times and both were "made in France".. had a defective clasp..i tried one more time and that one was "made in Italy"..beautiful condition! Meant to be bc my dad was Italian and passed away.. so, it makes me think of him... on the same note, I was recently able to obtain the speedyb 25.. I'm damier Ebene and monogram.. made in France.. both beautiful condition 🤞❤ i really think craftmanship can truly go wrong when made in any country..i just like "made in France" bc of the origin of LV ❤❤❤❤

      I’m not sure if it’s the same for LV but Chanel has two factories; one in France and one in Italy. The Italian factory is responsible for sharing its working space with other brands, whereas the French factory is only responsible for manufacturing Chanel. It makes a huge difference in regards to craftsmanship and time and labour spent on each item. Italy tends to have the seasonal bags that need to be manufactured at a far faster rate. You are also paying for an item from a French company, I guess it just makes sense that you want it manufactured in its indigenous country.

    I don’t think it’s being picky when it’s pertains to a $1600 item. I would return until they get back to making quality products.

    I purchased a tote from Gucci and it came in a shopping bag , then inside was the box with lovely cushioning and tissue paper. LV NEEDS to step up their game!!!

      Yes i also purchased online gg marmont small recently and it was perfect packaging, completed with shopping bag, ribbon, the box and dustbag. Very satisfied!

      Gucci’s new packaging is to die for! I agree, just bought the classic disco soho as a Christmas gift to myself and it came in beautifully packaged and in pristine condition (unlike my LV orders from this year).

    My thoughts :)
    1. The zipper can’t be ‘tight’ as the bag won’t have any room to open. The slight wave in it I see as the same as the wrinkles in the canvas.... once you start using it’ll sort itself out.
    2. The smell is quite likely a spray put on in customs due to COVID.... I know places are using chemicals on items posted internationally to kill any virus.
    3. There’s a shortage of boxes, ribbons that are made in Asia. This is due to the state of the world right now, not LV specifically.
    4. If you don’t love the bag then you’ll know in your heart to return :). Go with your gut. Cheers from Australia x

      Interesting, what are they spraying on the bags due to Covid? I ordered a few other pieces recently and they didn’t have this harsh smell.

    Congratulations on your new bag 😍 Mine was exactly the same when i first got it! I think the wonky zipper is partially due to the way the bags are squished in the packaging 📦 I absolutely LOVE mine now though! The creases and zipper issue fixed themselves after a couple of weeks of use 🥰🥰🥰

    I don't see how people can say you're too picky when you're spending THAT much money on a bag. I would probably do the same with a $20 bag 😂

    I would keep it. It’s beautiful. The zipper will straighten and the glue smell means it’s new. But if you don’t like it now you won’t ever, and return. 💕💐

    Feel like right now you can’t find a perfect item from Louis Vuitton. It is so annoying. My 2 DE Canvas speedy B all like this kind zipper only the mono one is straight. My leather speedy is straight too. I am thinking maybe the DE canvas is a little bit stiff. Smell is like chemicals right? I never mentioned in my video that my key cle also made in USA, that smell is really bad. I was planning to do the giveaway for that piece, after I smelled it, I just can’t. If someone get that piece, people will hate it. I really feel bad about that smell. So I totally understand your feeling if you want to return it❤️

      I agree! I bought a bag and 5 SLGs so far from LV this year alone, and only 1 SLG is perfect! The rest has glazing issue or smells - regardless where they were made from. Crazy!

    I love your being so honest. It’s ok to return. The right bag will make you so super happy AND it will not smell. My Speedy zippers have never been easy to slide.

      If you rub the zipper with wax paper that will make it run smooth.

    Louis Vuitton will only learn to provide quality items when customers stop accepting their crap. If you’re not happy, you need to return it, that’s way too much money for a faulty item, regardless of how much you can afford/ disposable income you have.
    Edit* Having said that, ask your SA about it. Some people have said it should sort itself out in time. Your SA will know how the brand new display stock behaves (for want of a better word).

    The exact same thing happened to me! I bought my Speedy B in a boutique and it had a horrible odor and a crooked zipper! I almost didn’t buy it but I am so glad I did. Made in France and is now perfect after using it!❤️😃❤️

    Hi doll, most Speedy bags have some waves in the zip in the beginning. It works itself out with use. I've had many Speedys over the years, currently two in my collection and the waves are now gone. ;) Good luck with your decision!

    waviness will go away for sure! the zipper is alright, it’s just new and you need to break it. smell should not bother you, just air it out. it’s a beautiful bag, I have all the sizes and I love them all!

    There is no such thing as “too picky.” These bags are luxury items and they promote their quality over other brands. You pay for the name, but you also pay for the craftsmanship. You do not expect faults with these items. Do not except anything less!

      Yes it may straighten out over time or it may not. I’m hearing from some people on IG that this is how their bag is, and the zipper never straightened out after years of use. They say they wish they had returned theirs when they could. Others are saying their zippers did straighten out and now it’s perfect. So it’s a gamble. And I guess I don’t really want any bag that badly to take a gamble on it. It’s just a bag and if it’s not making me smile, it’s not worth it. I hope to find one that makes me smile - if not, I’ll move on. 😉 Thanks dear!

      no it will not straighten out,, i have one for more than 2 years :(
      i recently got a new speedy 25b from the website and it smells so bad i need to return that. the handle is twisted and the zipper is also not straight. i returned it the next day. it doesnt matter where it is made.. the quality is just not there (its a made in france bag btw)

      I would say don’t settled. There are already two reasons for you to return the bag, zipper and the smell. My speedy B25 was made in Italy and the zipper is straight. LV’s quality has definitely declined and I have to purchase the mini Pochette twice (imaging how hard to find this item) to find the one that’s in great acceptable condition.

      i have a sp25 it has straight zipper when i first bought it, this one is not ok, after longtime if still not straight , it's waste your time

    Lately i have seen so many who got warped/wonky items, including myself. Returned 4 items already because of that reason or i feel it was already used. 🥺 im picky too so if there is something about the item that bothers me, will return or exchange it.

      I agree with you. The last 3-4 items I’ve ordered from online, they all got sent back. The quality it getting BAD. And yes I’m picky.. but not “that” picky. But for me.. I just couldn’t justify it. Once I see a flaw.. I can’t unsee it, so back they go :-/

    Oh boy !!! Not sure if I told you about it but I recently purchased the speedy 25b in damier ebene but had to return it because one of the handles had a mark on it and it bothered me, it was a made in France one. While I was in store I was able to get the pochette metis but I honestly hope that I will get the speedy again. Love that bag! I have the speedy 30 in monogram but it's too big for me, probably will sell and buy the 25 since I never carry a ton with me on daily basis. Edit: my speedy that I returned also had a wonky zipper it bugged me too and it was not smooth too.

    Return. 💯. I had 4 montaignes that had to be returned. Pretty sure one of them had been heavily used given how scratched up the hardware was. Also had a crooked Pouchette Metis. Personally, done with LV til they can get their act together on quality. Zero packaging. No protection on the bag. Honestly coach does a great job as of late.

    My DE B25 also had the zipper a little wonky initially and I had to let my bag “settle” after being folded up but as I used it the zipper became more aligned and smoother. Hoping that’s the case for you if you decide to keep it!

    For over $1600 you deserve to have a perfect bag! If you look at 9:50, you can see that on the right side of the bag, the top row of stitches by the zipper lines up with the squares, but on the left side of the bag, the stitches are higher and don't line up. The wonky zipper isn't the only thing wrong with that bag and for so much money there shouldn't be any flaws. I'm glad you ended up finding one you're happy with

    I just wanted to say this video taught me how to inspect the bag before buying it from the boutique yesterday. I'd say the zipper issue is really distracting and will never keep a bag in that condition.
    Happy I managed to get a Made in France speedy b 25 in our local store here in PH, and this is my first LV purchase too. ♡♡♡♡

    I have seen some awful made in France bags as well as made in USA bags , like you said no matter where it’s made , today it’s the luck of the draw with Louie lol . I just bought the Iena MM in Damier Ebene and while it didn’t arrive folded , the zipper is not wavy like that speedy b you show here at all . I thought about the speedy b 25 again in DE but I am not a fan at all of the matte leather on the speedy in particular , I prob should have kept my speedy b 25 that was made in France and perfect and also had the more shiny /polished leather . I think the zipper will straighten out but if it doesn’t zip like a smooth Lv zipper I think I would send it back too . Could just be because of it being folded or it’s the reformulated canvas which is softer and is going to cause the indenting because it’s much more mailable today . Thanks for sharing 🥰🥰

    I got a key pouch like yours made in USA and it was foul smelling also! I put a bit of perfume on a piece of cotton and left it inside to see of that would drown it out. Then later I read online that putting baking inside will help remove smells. So I tucked a tissue inside my cley key pouch with baking soda on top and the zipper open for several days and it actually removed the foul smell for the most part, except it’s left with a faint perfume smell. I wish I would have just tried the baking soda.

    I would suggest you return the bag. I believe that when you are paying so much money for a luxury bag, it has to be perfect, free of any flaws or blemishes. Last year I also bought Speedy B 25 with a similar issue. I returned it promptly, knowing I would regret it if I didn't.

    Hello. If you aren't happy with it, I would wait until you are able to find one that will make you smile each time you carry it. That said... I LOVE Speedy bags and own a few in both bandouliere and classic styles. Like you, I can't do heavy bags on my shoulder, so when I have to commute to NCal (from LA), I actually use the 30B as my mini carry-on. I can fit a crazy amount of stuff in there and keep it secure and use the =

      Aww thank you for sharing all this!! I have a feeling the zipper is not going to straighten out but then again I may be wrong. As for the Alma bb, the Alma shape just doesn’t speak to me for some reason. But I know it’s a classic for many! Thanks so much!

      @@hellocatwalkcity hi. Just a suggestion... When you are able to get a Speedy you are happy with, ask your SA for a dust bag that is large enough to store it unfolded. Personally, I don't like having to fold them up unless I have to pack it up in luggage for travel. Good luck! ♥️

    I got a speedy 25 a couple weeks ago made in the USA and it smelled like delicious leather from the handle and other leather parts. The canvas didn’t smell like anything which is what I would expect. If you smell chemicals… absolutely return! Also, the first key pouch I purchased had a zipper that would get stuck, the second one had a blurred out lv stamp! Finally the 3rd was perfect! All 3made in France.

    My speedyB 30 DE tarnished three months after getting it. I guess you could say I live in a humid ish environment in Monterey CA. But I was honestly not upset because I was chronically using the metal pieces so I wasn’t surprised. The metal rivets that are not touched are doing just fine. I got it two years ago and now in addition there is wrinkling under the d rings but that is to be expected with the weight of the strap. When I was purchasing my bag in store I saw a lady with the same bag and I asked to look at her bag (she was so sweet to let me see how mine could possibly age) since hers was 5+ years old and that wrinkling on the leather chaps will happen eventually. Also in regards to the zipper, stuff the bag and give the bag time to acclimate to not being squished flat. Entry level LV bags are lower quality than their higher end leather bags. It’s just a fact.

    Yep! I love LV but the packaging does leave a lot to be desired... also, it's because it was smooshed in the box, it should straigthen out with use - at least both my speedies (purchased '09 & '10) straightened out.

    I had the same wonky zipper with first Speedy 30 B Mono I bought in April. I compared it to my 1995 Classic Speedy, which had a slight wave due to canvas, but it was no where near as wonky. SA assured me it would straighten out w/ use, but I returned it in case it didn't. It's an expensive bag so I didn't want to risk it. Ordered another online + it was perfect. I am happy that I returned it. It's an expensive bag, and I would have been kicking myself had it not straightened out. I recently brought a pre-loved Speedy B in DE, and the zipper is perfect as well. Go with your gut! Enjoy your evening.

    Not liking the crooked zipper either. It took me 3 tries before I found the perfect cles. Good luck and don’t settle if you’re not 100% happy!

    I know this video is 3 years old but I just returned this same bag upon receiving it. I know it’s common with LV from what I’ve researched that the hardware doesn’t match but it really bothered me upon receiving it that a brand new bag had such different hardware. But also they had the strap rolled up in the bag and it was already all creased.
    I ended up getting a preloved one for almost $900 less and it was in better shape than a brand new one from the LV website. It’s so disappointing that a brand with this reputation is allowing such terrible quality issues to go out to customers. The return was extremely easy but the experience was such a let down so I plan on looking for preloved from certain years when the quality was a priority.

    We are sooo alike! It’s your money and they are not cheap so if you don’t like, something isn’t right or feel right return it. No shame in that.

    Agree 💯 LV needs to step it up with the packaging! I was crossing my fingers for you!! I’m so glad you got your made in France 🙌🏼 Mine isn’t wavy but I only own one so I’m not an expert. If it’s going to bother you don’t keep it, because it will bother you every time you carry it. Honestly the speedy 25 isn’t hard to find so if you’re not 100% happy order another one. Trust your instinct. Good luck🥰

    I agree with Mimi. If you already can’t take your eyes off the zipper before you use it, you will probably keep thinking about it. Return or exchange- the right one would come!

    My speedy b 25 came in with zipper looking exactly like that!! That was around March, so I couldn't go to the store for an exchange... What I have done was stuffed the bag and allow the bag/zipper to expand/stretch and left it there for a couple of months. I was 100% as paranoid as you when I first got the bag..Over time, the zipper straightened out and its not wavy anymore..maybe you can try it out?

    i would keep it bc mine was like that as well and after a week or two of using, it straightened out... i think we examine too hard especially being luxury enthusiasts on the internet 😆💕

      Oh interesting! Have you seen my IG stories with the close up shots? It looks so super wonky. I’ve heard from some that their zippers were like this and straightened out over time and I’ve also heard from others saying they wished they had returned bc their zippers have never straightened out even after years of use. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Thanks for your input Jenny!

    I think after I buy the Celine Box Bag, this will be one of my next handbags. It is just so cute with the strap. I already have a classic speedy 30 but still think a 25b would make sense for my collection!

    its my first time watching your video. i have bad experiences about LV brand new items. I bought an LV PM Agenda online and I found out that the product I received is defective. the ring is not aligned straight so I requested for an exchange. however the second one I got is also defective. the ring is not properly closing. so I decided to just return it and bought myself a second hand piece in mint condition for 75% off the retail price lol. there is nothing wrong in being picky if you are receiving the perfect items for what you have paid for. XOXO I will pay more for a good quality items but of course if its brand new, it shouldn't have any flaws.. imo.

    If the zippers on the other ones you saw aren’t like that, then you should return this one and wait for another opportunity! It’s too much money to not immediately love it. If you have an issue now, return and try again because it’s not worth taking an chance on whether it will straighten out or not. Love you and good luck on finding a new speedy

    The zipper is definitely faulty, I own 3 speedy 25 and I've never seen this before. I would return it. I've had my SpeedyB 25 DE for 6 years, the leather strap does get a lot softer and my leather has a beautiful shine to it including the handles. All mine are made in France but I'm from the UK so it's normal, but to be honest I couldn't care less where they're made as long as they're made well. I hope you find a perfect one.     Absolutely return. If it’s bothering you now, imagine how much more it’ll irritate you as time goes on. You should get perfection when you’re spending that kind of money. The smell could be to do with a spray to combat COVID. The smell will probably fade in time.

Love mine, no issues with the zipper, mine is super straight soft and mif as well. I would return that little beauty if it’s bothering you. It’s a style that is usually available and not so hard to find so I think you’ll be able to find one that you like. ❤️

    Hi love, my LV sales associate told me there's a horrible shortage of boxes and ribbon.. he text me this:
    It has to do with Covid, getting material, importing, exporting is more of a challenge. When everything shut down things just shifted. I know the company is working on fixing it, it's just a weird situation.
    The us treasury had a reduction in the production in physical money so even the banks have shortages. I ordered change and they only let me have one roll of quarters. Luckily I had $200 in change in my coin bin. I literally traded it out so our store can have coins. So, it's really not LV's fault..COVID has caused so many problems 😔

    My zipper was like that also. I just stuff the heck out of the bag and it did improve a bit. I got mine in March, Made in USA (I wanted to return, but already made too many returns from their defective bags) so I just kept it. Haha. I wasn’t as picky about MIF vs MIU before but I’m definitely seeing the difference now. Actually, even MIF and MIS bags are starting to lose their touch of quality too. It’s so disappointing. They’re too focused on making all these new bags and their different collections that I feel like the factory workers are just confused having to learn different patterns and mass producing everything! If there’s nothing else wrong with it, I think maybe keep it! Buttt if you think it’ll really bother you, return! Good luck deciding! Can’t wait for your follow up! Hehe

    Ah congrats! I was lucky to capture a made in France speedy b25 demier ebene last month and my zipper was the same way! BUT with after use it’s straightened out! I had been ISO for over a year 💗

      Mine was exactly the same! I think the wonky zipper is partially due to the way the bags are squished in the packaging 📦 I absolutely LOVE mine now though! The creases and zipper issue fixed themselves after a couple of weeks of use 🥰🥰🥰

    I have the speedy b 30 in DE. Got it 2 years ago from Champs Elysees Paris location. I want to say all speedy b’s are made in France. My zipper is fine, straight. Thinking yours is like that from shipping and heat and will smoothen out. On mine, the hardware is different like on the bag it’s the matte and the strap has the shiny gold. I don’t mine either. The shiny looks fancy but the matte is practical, less scratches. (My hardware as a whole is in amazing condition and I wore the bag for like 7 months straight before starting to rotate it.) This one doesn’t seem to convince you and like you said- with that in mind, you won’t be happy.
    I have the mono key cles. Got it last year and it was fine. No smell. It has a faint smell now as I store spare keys in it. (Which from this video, it reminded me to clean it. Haha.) Glad I saw your video. Looking to buy the Damier Azur versión online now. Nervous as all my pieces have been in-store purchases. Now I know what to expect from an online order. Thanks!

      Not all speedy b’s are made in France. The first one I got was made in USA. Some are Spain or Italy. I’ve already packaged this one up to return! 😉

    I’m a little weary to do returns at lv because if you read their policies at the bottom of the website it states that there is a purchase limit of 12 bags/year. When you do returns it doesn’t cancel the fact that you still made that purchase. So if you buy 10 bags and return 2 , it doesn’t equate to 8 bags purchased. It still counts as 10 bags on your purchase history. I was also told by a friend who is a regular at the lv store that they flag your account if you do a lot of returns as well.

    I have a Speedy B 30 made in USA that is absolutely perfect and beautiful, and stitching is perfect and straight. I also have two made in France that are perfect, so honestly it’s just a hit or miss with these bags. Honestly, if you are not happy with it, certainly return it, or call their CS and exchange for the exact same bag, and tell them that there’s a defect and you would like to exchange for the same bag, and request for the warehouse to take a look at the new bag before it’s gets sent to you. They have excellent Customer Service and they will make a note for the warehouse to make sure the bag is perfect before it gets sent to you. Good luck!

    Speedy b25 in DE is one of my favorite bags. Packs a lot and fuss free.... the matte leather makes the strap a lot more pliable and does not dig into my shoulder. Speedy b25 is not hard to get... mine is a Made in France too. If the zipper bothers u that much...might as well return and order another. My new OnTheGo MM has that strong chemical smell too and it is Made in France. Thankfully, that smell went away after airing it for some weeks in the dust bag.

    Girl!!! Congratulations on your new SB25 in DE, we're twinning🥰!! So happy & excited for you until you pointed out the issues. IMHO, do what makes you happy, return it or keep it, its up to you, because you're going to "live" with it for a very longggggg time! So far all my items are made in France except for my TP26 which is made in Spain & all my items were perfect when I got em (in boutique/online). So I guess LV quality & QC are not consistent.     The Speedy has been haunting me too. You are not being too picky. Considering the amount of money we pay for luxury items, we expect the quality to be perfect. That zipper would drive me mad! OCD twins 🙋🏻‍♀️

    I also have a Speedy B25 DE made in France that I got in Nov and the zipper was actually a lot more wavy than yours and was difficult to close. However, after putting in an organizer and wearing it for a couple of weeks the zipper is now straight and glides smoothly. I think it's because the canvas is so stiff it took a while to straighten out fully. Mine did not have a smell though.

    I highly recommend Samorga organizer for your speedy! It's not as bulky as other organizers and keeps its shape without making it look too boxy. It's also very flexible and easy to put in and out. I would not use a base shaper because it might wear out the corners more since it is really hard. I actually bought one and ended up throwing it away. I also prefer made in France, but I noticed that it really does not matter as long as the quality of the bag is better from the start. I have a neverfull made in US, and it looks perfect! The stitching, symmetry, glazing, etc. The zipper in your speedy might become straight as you use it. But if it bothers you and you are okay with made in US, then return it.

    I have the same bag and the zippers on the speedy’s do tend to be rather stiff, also it will straighten out as it has been squashed during packing. Stuff it with a towel for a few stays and it will bounce back into shape. Make sure you buy a bag base and organiser go on Amazon much cheaper and you can get the specific size for speedy 25. I have a 30 as well as 2 25s and the opening is difficult on the 25 compared to the 30 - scratched hands! But the 25 is a much nicer bag 💕

    I bought the speedy b25 in DE made in France too a few months ago. The zipper on my bag is straight. There were some white glue residue on the handle which I had to rub for a while to scrape it off. Also, as soon as I opened the box there was a very noticeable pungent chemical smell but it went away after airing out for a week or so. I ended up keeping it because I was able to scrape off the glue.

      K mok Returned! USA one had white residue on multiple spots on the interior near the pocket and France one had the wonky zipper, so they’re both gone.

    I have the exact same bag. Mine was made in 2017 so I have the puffy chaps version as well. It is a great bag, but the zipper on these aren’t the best. My classic speedy’s zipper has always been like butter. My speedyb25 zipper looks like yours and isn’t that smooth. Occasionally I use wax paper to help it. All that said, I think LV was super cheap when they made these and it’s annoying that they didn’t think it was important for the hardware on the bag to match the strap’s hardware. But, I love the bag, it’s great for travel, and great for all weather. Plus many people aren’t familiar with DE so it’s under the radar. I’ve never had an LV item with a smell, but I’ve purchased mine directly from a store. Good luck on your decision! Do what will give you peace of mind.

    I was lucky I guess! I ordered a speedy b 25 last month after I watched ur video notice that. When I got right after I ordered 2 days after. It is beautiful! MIF I don’t see nothing wrong with it! Good zipper not wavy like yours, and I inspected it and it is flawless! After I got I was debating between return it or keep it. Finally I decided to keep because it is a good bag about size and I got in DE soo I ordered a samorga organizer that will arrive today! I will enjoying my beautiful bag! I decide to get it because I just have a pochette accessories and it is practical to use but I need something bigger and this speedy b it is perfect when I put my stuff inside there is still room for more... sorry that you did not that bag in the condition that should arrive. My PA zipper has a wavy part on the zipper but the zipper is so smooth I did not have problem with that is why keep it. Also because it is a really really hard item to get. It is understandable if you are not happy with it you should not keep it because you will regret not return it.

    You’re not being picky! Esp for a designer bag, and the zipper is a very important function- it’ll drive you crazy so I’d recommend returning.
    I’ve had to return 4 purchases to LV - the quality has been disappointing. And I totally agree with the packaging lately. It looks like it was a returned item (which is fine as long as it’s still considered new) that was quickly checked and thrown in the dust bag to resell. No ribbon which is lazy and lame.

    Love my speedy 25 bandolier in DE! Congrats! You will love it I’m sure. I’m curious , I have 3 speeds , all purchased online, and my straps were always placed inside the bag. Yours were hanging off the bag if I’m not mistaken. No biggie but you are on point with the way they are currently packaging their $$$$$$$ bags.

    I think you're over reacting about the zipper. It will straighten out over time, but if it's really bothering you, return it. It's your money after all and it's a lot of money at that.

    I just got the same bag today! Will do an unboxing very soon! Mine is made in France too! The sales associate told me when she mailed it to me! I just want to say that I am very picky when it comes to the luxury items. I feel that if I am spending this much money, the item is better be perfect! I didn’t unbox it yet, waiting to film it, but now I am worried!

    Return it because it will bother you! I ordered the Pochette Metis 3 times online and returned all of them due to quality issues. I was sad lol but on my bday last year our CA called hubby they got one in at our local store and thankfully it was perfect! For the price we pay, we are allowed to be picky.

    I don't like the zipper either. I recently purchased online for Kirigami Pochette and Alma BB from LV. Both have been returned due to the quality issue. So disappointed. I would return this speedy if I were you.

    I’ve had the worst experience these past few months just trying to get ahold of a classic speedy. Each of the three I ordered were all made in USA and ended up being returned because of different defects (tarnishing on hardware, scratches on leather, etc.). I really think the quality issue might be not only where the item was made but their new extended return policy. 30 days is much too long to hold onto a bag and then decide you want to return it. I don’t really think quality control is going into inspecting these returns (and maybe not even in the production process itself) so for now I’m just going to hold off on buying LV unless it’s in store or the quality improves.

    My Keep All 55 in Damier Ebene also has that weird grey undertone. It was one of my first pieces so I kept it and it has bothered me ever since! I fully support returning pieces that don't meet your expectations!

    I’m sorry but I think if you are paying for your leather goods or anything at that and your not 100% satisfied return it , and get another one... your not ocd or too picky, we pay for things and want to be happy with them, don’t feel t like you have to excuse yourself to anyone... return it, and order another one until you get want you want!!     I just got this speedy bag for Christmas was a gift & the best part its made in France so I was very excited to get one since my other speedy are all made in the USA but then I noticed the zipper wasn’t align same exact like yours the zipper is wonky & wavy & had a weird chemical smell short story I’m keeping it!
    *The zipper did bothered for a few weeks of me wearing it so I brought to my local Lv and I was told this is normal & it would settle with use. Anyways whatever. I’m keeping her.

    At least you got a box..... My sister in law purchased the Alma bb and they did not have a box for her. I purchased the desk agenda same day, and they had to search for a box that fit. My SA was super nice about it though.

    The zipper is really important, because you’ll use it every time you wear it, and it will drive you crazy. Why does it smell? Wonder what they’re doing differently now? It sounds like it smells like the coated canvas on a Coach bag i got. Almost like gasoline. I rubbed it down with white vinegar and set it in the sun a few hours, and it disappeared. Sorry it didn’t work out for you.

    Honestly, I've noticed that it doesn't matter where the LV bag is manufactured, it's rare to find one that is absolutely perfect and impeccable. So disappointing. I got the palm springs minis recently and it was made in the US (there was stitching issues and the canvas didn't line up). Went into the store and got one made in Spain (they had 2 in stock) and I had to just pick which one I could live with. Both had stitching issues. The handle on both was also slight lopsided. I have made peace with it though and I love the bag regardless. Return/sell the speedy B if you're.nor completely happy. They're expensive bags to feel meh about.

    Hmmm I think if it bothers you a lot then you should return it. I think how the bag makes you feel is really important because we don’t buy luxury items just for the functionality... and the price is pretty high for these bags because we’re paying for the quality. I think personally, I wouldn’t wait for it to straighten out or to get better. I’d rather get one that I’m satisfied with at first glance. :)

    I just snagged a pochette Métis online a week ago and they shipped it in the dust bag with no box, just a sitting inside a shopping bag 🙃 I spent 2 grand on a bag with no box. I feel a little silly being annoyed but come on!

    Once u put in an organizer it will straighten out. Because if the way they are packed to fit in the box it has a lot of creases that will go away with use.

    I just got a Speedy 30 B Damier today. I ordered on the Louis Vuitton website. I immediately returned it. The bag was made in France. However, the handle was not made well and had a scratch. The lock was heavily scratched. One chap was not stitched well. The date code was the second week of 2020. I highly doubt that I got a returned bag. Last time I returned a Speedy 25 monogram because both two handles had obvious scratches. The quality of Louis Vuitton is really going down. I really like this bag but now I'm not sure if I should re-order again.

    Omg I thought it was just me with them being lazy about their packaging. The first item I ordered had the ribbon but the bag had a defect, then the last 2 I ordered had no ribbon and the item looked used and scratched already. Pretty irritating and is turning me off of the brand for the moment.

    The canvas in monogram is much more thin and dull now compared to earlier days; the canvas was more substantial and had a luster to it.
