    A video is missing between activated sludge process and completely mixed process. It may be about Hydraulic retention time and sludge age. Please upload the video asap. All videos are really helpful.

    You said that the sludge in the secondary treatment tank constituted or organic matter and active micro-organisms. how is there orgnaic matter in the sludge when it should have been oxidized in the aeration tank ?

    • @APSEDUVERSE
      @APSEDUVERSE  6 лет назад +5

      None of the systems give 100% efficiency. It takes more than one cycle for the oxidisation of organic matter.

      Check MLSS/MLVSS of recycle sample.
      Indicator/Observation = Sludge concentration in return sludge is low (

    I am still confused with the mlss and mlvss and how do u consider it as the measure of biomass🙄

    • @industrialwastewatertreatm7519
      @industrialwastewatertreatm7519 3 года назад

      MLSS/MLVSS :
      The mixed liquor suspended solids (MLSS) concentration is a measure of the total concentration of solids in the aeration tank and includes both inert and organic solids.
      • Typical MLSS concentrations for conventional activated sludge plants range from 2,000 to 4,000 mg/L.
      Mixed liquor volatile suspended solids (MLVSS) is an indirect measure of the concentration of microorganisms in the aeration tank
      • MLVSS should be between 70 and 80 percent of the MLSS.
