I came to find that my mums husband is really insecure. Constantly putting me down, trying to wind me up, trickery, condescending etc. Makes me feel much better that I have peace, whilst he has turmoil
This is so me. I keep trying to improve but people shun me for being needy... none of my associates even try to understand, they just laugh and tell me not to be needy and gloomy. No wonder i decided that 2021 was time for a fresh start where I cut out everyone who did that (meaning I’m now alone 😟. It’s just less painful but does mean I can start to rebuild without their negative drag). A lifetime of being “the nice one” while being abused and used all with no reward other than being allowed to be in their company.... it’s taken me a while but I now see what they are doing and have had enough.
Relatable at #1. Still relate to 3 and 4. The rest describe my childhood self which didn't survive my depression. Oddly enough, I think I'd still choose the depression because it burned away enough that I could start healing the rest.
I believe battling and curing insecurities is one of the hardest things to do and one of the easiest thing to get. This might be controversial but i think its harder to get rid of insecurity than depression. In my experience, you can find people to support you through depression but if you're insecure people will only attack those insecurities or they will avoid you or cut you out. I'll tell you why. As you said, if you're opej about your insecurities it could easily be misinterpreted as attention seeking. If you're not vocal, it may come out as toxic behaviour. People also have very negative reputation when it comes to insecurity. Insecurity is a battle you have to win alone.
I’m definitely insecure about some things but I clicked on this video because of a really toxic ex-friend. I had a feeling they were actually lashing out because of insecurity and now I think that’s the truth. I feel bad for them but I don’t think I could be friends again after what they put me through. It’s emotionally exhausting to deal with someone who exhibits all of the behaviors listed in this video. I just wish I could have helped them better, but they wouldn’t listen. I wish them the best.
This is my birthday video. :3 Thanks to psych2to for being here and sharing all these useful informations about Psychologie. Keep up the your good work and thank you for doing what you're doing :)
Insecurity is a struggle that people either avoid dealing with or they ignore the fact that they even have and not only causing harm to their mental health but also to other people.
I have them all, except for the last 2 I'd think. I hate being mean to people, but if someone rubs me the wrong way I have a harder time being nice to them.
They may not always get angry when you give constructive criticism. They'll dismiss it entirely. My sister was writing a book and had me reading over it as her editor, since I've put a lot of study into story writing, I thought I'd be able to give her some pretty good tips. Anything I'd suggest that she rework she'd always say, "that's exactly what it is, see, I did it just fine" when it didn't convey it right or "yeah, that happens later in the story" when it needed to happen earlier. Once I told her that her plot needed some revising and she said, "oh, I already worked it out completely."even though it still needed revising. I just kinda stopped because she was refusing to listen, and it was pointless to reason with her.
Thanks so much for this. Narcissistic Listening is what I’ve endured from a few key people in my life. It’s great finally knowing that it actually has a NAME!!! Thanks Psych2Go!!!!
I basically have all of these signs, almost exactly. Apart from spreading rumors/talking bad about others behind their back, that’s other people’s job not mine. But I always feel terrible at the end of the day when I feel I went too harsh and don’t know how to apologize for it or if it even was insensitive. I act like this in school, loving to boast and put down others (jokingly, I hope they don’t take it seriously).
What’s worse is that they don’t come back and apologise for making you insecure because of their insecurities they just move on if they came back and apologised I wouldn’t have so much hatred over it and I’d have more sympathy but it’s not all insecure people who are like that I wonder if insecure people become secure then come back but i doubt it
Omg i can literally imagine the person who has all these , gosh there's nothing wrong with feeling insecure but acting like this can just make someone hate you yk 😑😑
I recently stopped being friends with someone who used to be the dearest to my heart, because she was like this and I couldn’t take it. I don’t hate her; I have empathy for her, but I just can’t take her behavior. She is mean to me whenever she feels bad about herself.
About degrading oneself in front of others. Instead of being attention seeking or elaborate defense mechanisms, an insecure person can simply be sharing how they feel about themselves.
I’m not insecure secretly 😅 I can’t even imagine putting other people down that’s just awful I know how it feels so I’d never want anyone else to feel that way
There is one more insecurity I noticed 'cause of my friend. I noticed that my friend, althought she doesn't like crowds and is not going to big events often and don't have that many friends and is shy... when she is in a new situation with people she doesn't know then she gets a "feature" and then she is like cheerful, chipper and "full of beans" and jabbers a lot, even in a conversation she has no traffic with it and no idea about it and even says some things where I'm like "omg, no" in my head when she suddendly exaggerates with conjectures, prejudgments and other things, which aren't that necessary. So this was one situation back in the last year. But I noticed it generally at her that she can be really extremly communicative with people she doesn't know, even though she isn't that confident in front of new people. So really the opposite.
I truly don't know anyone who has never shown any of this characteristics, a lot of this I would say is what comes with being human, i think every one has insecurities because is part of not being a perfect being
I HAVE A STORY FOR THIS! but I can’t even understand how this person can feel insecure, for sure, made me feel like shit for that thing he said to me, he is a guy and I’m a girl. Soo, I have this question about someone in my friend group, who I started to know a bit better and I discovered that he has a kind of toxic behavior, especially when he talks to me. We are art students of the academy, I LOVE my studies and I'm always excited to meet someone who draws too, so we can talk about it. He is someone who is actually good at art! I don't consider myself a bad artist, but I am EXTREMELY insecure, when I mean EXTREMELY I mean that when someone assumes things about my personality that aren't true, I get so frustrated like “I am the problem, if I talk about drawing maybe it seems like that I vain” I love drawing and I don't consider myself a perfect artist, but by far ,I've always been told by my teachers that I have good art skills. This person started to get a but too comfortable with me and started to 1) ignore me when I talk unless my other friends tell him to answer 2) started to judge me and every request I say, for them it's something obvious or stupid 3) they see me as someone “dumb”. But yesterday, after days of these things we were eating sushi with my other friends and one of them asked me to draw a tattoo on him, the subject was a picture of this friend. I told this other friend of me “sorry the proportions are not perfect but it was so fun tu do! It's not that bad but it could be better” and he was satisfied!(Remember that sentence) Then suddenly The bad friend started to draw a tattoo TOO on one of my other friend’s arm, he drew a flower. He is really good at drawing and I've always told him that, but he never COMPLIMENTS anyone , especially me, when they achieve a success while I do it everytime even with him. Then…jokingly as I did many times with my art buddies, since we both like drawing and he was drawing a tattoo too I told him “ehy it would be fun to do a drawing match! It's gonna be interesting”😏 He told me things that really hurt me, he said “Please don't ever do a match about drawing with me cause I will win 100%” And I told him are you sure? Jokingly Then he said “anny please lower down your self esteem, fly down you are a bit embarrassing, the proportions of your drawing are all wrong, I am better always “ he didn't say that ironically, but EVERYONE found him arrogant IT WAS FUCKING DRAWN ON AN ARM WAS IT REALLY NECESSARY? I felt like shit for the whole evening, one of my friends told him that he wasn't that good by doing that comment, I even felt like throwing up for the anxiety after dinner and I just wanted to go home because It made me feel so bad. The previous days, he said that I wasn't a good graphic designer because I didn't know many car brands (he is not in the graphic designer major) and he said that he didn't trust my judgement but just the others judgment, even from people that don't do graphic design. I Ve always been told that my works were one of the best in my class, but I don't consider myself a perfect graphic designer either!! How!! I always say “I just like showing the things that I love or when I am satisfied with something I like to show it, but I NEVER CONSIDER myself better than others or I would Never put others down to bring myself up” AS HE DOES My good friends told me that they don't like his behavior too, and they are kind of scared of him, so I CALMED MYSELF SOO MUCH since i discovered I am not the problem , but I am still so insecure about me. I was about to cry for real, but my good friends comforted me so much I am so grateful to have them since they know I'm so anxious about myself. They kinda told me that it may be that this person is jealous of me? This person sees me as a obstacle because he found someone with his same skills? Idk What do you think? Is it a bit narcissist? A bit jealous?

You will meet people like this in your life. Just listen and move on after the conversation.
I always thought I was insecure but I guess I never knew what it really meant because I don't have one of those traits !! However, I do absolutely love this program - it's very useful. 😀😀❤❤ I'm glad I subscribed.
i used to be like this. but thankfully i grew out of that toxic space and decided i should be more contented with who i am :”)
The new art looks so cute
And thanks for the information
Thanks for this.........this is too helpful
I really like the artist....
I have a suggestion for your next video! Maybe it can be about the hypnagogic state? I'm doing a science project at school, and your videos are VERY helpful. Just a suggestion :)
This video came at a perfect time, so concise and spot on. Love Psych2Go!!! ❤️
To who ever reads this, I want you to know that no one is perfect and everyone is beautiful in their own way and that you matter, I wish you the best in life ❤️
Thanks for spreading love and I hope you and all be happy ..
I came to find that my mums husband is really insecure. Constantly putting me down, trying to wind me up, trickery, condescending etc. Makes me feel much better that I have peace, whilst he has turmoil
unrelated, but I can srsly listen to her voice all night 'til I fall asleep. it's so calming and soothing.
This makes it easier to understand causes of other people's behaviour
Thank you for this🥺🥺

Insecurity gang?

@@xethrion4758 yay let's start an insecurity gang

Its one thing to have a insecure moment… Its another thing to be permanently insecure
Thanks Psych2Go!!!!
thank you for everything
So I relate to all of these points... never thought it was insecurity, I always believed I just have a horrible personality
@The Genderqueer Cringy Emo geez, thanks
@The Genderqueer Cringy Emo heh I don’t really care I’m terrible at sugarcoating too anyway
Hard work puts you where good luck can find you

I basically have all of these signs, almost exactly. Apart from spreading rumors/talking bad about others behind their back, that’s other people’s job not mine. But I always feel terrible at the end of the day when I feel I went too harsh and don’t know how to apologize for it or if it even was insensitive. I act like this in school, loving to boast and put down others (jokingly, I hope they don’t take it seriously).
how do they always put out the right topic out
What’s worse is that they don’t come back and apologise for making you insecure because of their insecurities they just move on if they came back and apologised I wouldn’t have so much hatred over it and I’d have more sympathy but it’s not all insecure people who are like that I wonder if insecure people become secure then come back but i doubt it
Omg i can literally imagine the person who has all these , gosh there's nothing wrong with feeling insecure but acting like this can just make someone hate you yk 😑😑
I recently stopped being friends with someone who used to be the dearest to my heart, because she was like this and I couldn’t take it.
I don’t hate her; I have empathy for her, but I just can’t take her behavior. She is mean to me whenever she feels bad about herself.
I'm not insecure I just know that I'm not perfect but I still love myself and no one is perfect anyways 💜💜
I'm openly insecure. Yay...
Atleast I'm assertive. People pleasing is too much harder than saying no.
About degrading oneself in front of others. Instead of being attention seeking or elaborate defense mechanisms, an insecure person can simply be sharing how they feel about themselves.
This was a great video. Subscribed!👍🏾❤️
I’m not insecure secretly 😅 I can’t even imagine putting other people down that’s just awful I know how it feels so I’d never want anyone else to feel that way
I already know I am insecure so-
My traits:
Everything is a competition,
I will degrade myself everytime.
How do I solve this?
Thank god I found this chanel...also ur videos are soo amazing thanks for the hardwork!!!!!❤.
Thank you. This was very helpful.
I truly don't know anyone who has never shown any of this characteristics, a lot of this I would say is what comes with being human, i think every one has insecurities because is part of not being a perfect being
I thought I'm never insecure until I saw life is not fair. Right amount of hardwork is not equivalent to right amount of success. Like MONEY !!!
Nobody's mean for the sake of being mean. Everyone has their reasons.
I don't consider myself a bad artist, but I am EXTREMELY insecure, when I mean EXTREMELY I mean that when someone assumes things about my personality that aren't true, I get so frustrated like “I am the problem, if I talk about drawing maybe it seems like that I vain”
I love drawing and I don't consider myself a perfect artist, but by far ,I've always been told by my teachers that I have good art skills.
It's not that bad but it could be better” and he was satisfied!(Remember that sentence)
Then suddenly The bad friend started to draw a tattoo TOO on one of my other friend’s arm, he drew a flower.
It's gonna be interesting”😏
He told me things that really hurt me, he said
“Please don't ever do a match about drawing with me cause I will win 100%”
And I told him are you sure? Jokingly
Then he said “anny please lower down your self esteem, fly down you are a bit embarrassing, the proportions of your drawing are all wrong, I am better always “ he didn't say that ironically, but EVERYONE found him arrogant IT WAS FUCKING DRAWN ON AN ARM WAS IT REALLY NECESSARY?
I felt like shit for the whole evening, one of my friends told him that he wasn't that good by doing that comment, I even felt like throwing up for the anxiety after dinner and I just wanted to go home because It made me feel so bad.
The previous days, he said that I wasn't a good graphic designer because I didn't know many car brands (he is not in the graphic designer major) and he said that he didn't trust my judgement but just the others judgment, even from people that don't do graphic design. I Ve always been told that my works were one of the best in my class, but I don't consider myself a perfect graphic designer either!! How!!
I always say “I just like showing the things that I love or when I am satisfied with something I like to show it, but I NEVER CONSIDER myself better than others or I would Never put others down to bring myself up” AS HE DOES
My good friends told me that they don't like his behavior too, and they are kind of scared of him, so I CALMED MYSELF SOO MUCH since i discovered I am not the problem , but I am still so insecure about me. I was about to cry for real, but my good friends comforted me so much I am so grateful to have them since they know I'm so anxious about myself.
They kinda told me that it may be that this person is jealous of me? This person sees me as a obstacle because he found someone with his same skills? Idk
What do you think? Is it a bit narcissist? A bit jealous?
I really would like to see a video called "10 Signs that you are a Macabre/Melancholic Person"
People known for being habitual liars or the fake it until you make it are the most inscure of them all.
Don't care about what they think about you Psi, you're great !
The most insecure thing someone exposes themselves when they say "ya think youre better than me dont cha"?
Its the first thing they notice on someone. For sure.
Well, i don't know about anyone else but i am insecure 😑
I am more of a introvert and insecure
You'll be alright. People who are really insecure are afraid to expose themselves about being insecure. So in your case, your statement is a mature step on the ladder of Self Development. So be nice to Your Self.
