India's efforts at self reliance have been stymied by the US. This gives China an enormous advantage over India in geopolitical stakes. Even if Russia helps India to regain momentum in self reliance efforts, China will remain Russia's "brother". India has a long haul ahead in forging strong relationships in West Asia. As for Southeast Asia, China will retain the upper hand in the foreseeable future.

Really interesting coverage of China's policy options in the Trump 2.0 era. Yes, India has to take all opportunities that present themselves vis-a-vis China to serve its best interests.

What about multilateral organizations . Does the Chinese say that they need to participate more extensively ?

Very informative. But I think Taiwan's appetite for Indian scholarship is somewhat reduced in this time.
