Looks fun. Great video. I’ll get down there from the east bay soon. I like your use of the map and that you say the trial names. Keep up the good work. Thanks!
We took a family trip to Santa Cruz last summer (from Oregon) and damn right I brought my trail bike. In town, DeLaveaga park had a decent short loop, but I really brought my bike to hit Flow Trail in the Soquel Demonstration Forest. My 14 year old and I had a blast and got a damn good few hours of riding. I didn't get a chance to hit up Wilder Ranch, but it looks gorgeous and that Enchanted Loop especially looked fun.
I'm so lucky to live here and rip this place up!!! Been riding here for the last 30 years and OMG....... IT NEVER GETS OLD!!!!! MAILBOXES PEEPS. MAILBOXES.................. Y'ALL GOTTA GO RIDE THAT!!
Santa Cruz is where I started using photochromic eyewear. Once you get into the trees, the light and shadows start playing with your eyes and can get hairy if your shades are too dark. Yet, it's MTB heaven on Earth👍
Sick vid! I def plan on riding this trail in the near future cause I only live about 45 minutes away. Thanks for showing where to park and stuff. I've seen some vids that say to ride enchanted loop counter clockwise and you said clockwise. Not sure which way to go but I want to go the easy way lol
I've only hiked and run out there but Enchanted Loop especially looked like it'd be amazing to ride! (Would almost surely be a walk up going CCW though, even on foot I was glad to be CW!)
@@JakeSpeakman Update: I did! Rode Broncos to Mailboxes, Old Cabin and across to Enchanted, then back up and across Empire to Rollercoaster. Pretty spicy on rigid fatbike! (Surly Ice Cream Truck) It soaks up the chunky drops and has unreal traction at ~5psi, but a bit underdamped when it gets technical!
Dude you’re riding in the wrong area. Not gonna give you any trail names but I’ll tell you this one is wrong. Be careful with belongings in your car. Police stopped enforcing theft law -5 years ago. Open season on mountain bikers cars.
Did this ride one time with a group and now i can tell we went the wrong direction on pretty much every trail. Great Video
Thanks! Ah man, sounds like you need to go back then. I really liked Wilder

Thanks Damien! I really enjoyed riding Wilder Ranch, you’ll love it! Once the rain clears up you’ll have some hero dirt to mash on 👊
Another great one, Jake!
Thanks Raja!

Yeah, Wilder was really fun! I would definitely go back and ride it again! Demo is great too!
Did this trail and only crashed once, exhilarating!
Ha! Hopefully not too bad

What he said 👆😂
I've been past that one skinny log a dozen times and never even considered riding it but tou did it eithout even trying huge props
Thanks! Try it sometime, it’s not as hard as it looks!
Oh no you didn’t hit Mailboxes singletrack?!?! It’s the best trail in Santa Cruz. Runs parallel to Empire Grade road on east side of Wilder.
Nope! I'll check it out next time I'm down there though. The trails I hit were really fun though
I've been here once... it's a great network of trails with awesome views for sure!
Thanks! It’s a great trail system 👍

Yep! I usually wear my clear Pit Vipers if I’m riding somewhere with lots of tree cover. Santa Cruz is amazing though 😎
Going to santa cruz in a couple weeks from va hopefully I can rent a bike and ride a couple days looks fn epic
Plenty of spots you can rent a bike in SC! Hopefully you can check out the trails!
I’ve added this to my list of places to go to, it looks amazing!
Awesome! It really is. Santa Cruz is so much fun

Thanks! I rode it clockwise but who knows maybe it’s better in reverse 🤷♂️ I had a blast out there, hopefully you can check it out soon!
Depends if you want a technical climb or a technical descent. Counter-clockwise for the climb, clockwise for the descent.
@@eg-xf5ic I’ll try counter-clockwise next time!
Nice vid man!
Thanks! 😎
looks rad riding there on Saturday should be fun
You’ll have a blast!
@@JakeSpeakman my buddy and I watched your channel and wanted to go

Wilder Ranch is fun. Parking theft is a massive problem all over the Bay Area regardless if you’re a Mountain Biker or not.
