Mountain biking Del Valle Regional Park in Livermore, Ca
Del Valle Regional Park is located about 10 miles south of Livermore, Ca. Situated right at the bottom of the valley floor is a beautiful 5 mile long lake. There is over 30+ single track trail options, with fire roads linking everything together. I parked on Del Valle road, Which sits on top of the valley facing south. Parking is free and there is plenty of space you just have to park up on the shoulder. Like I mentioned in the video, there is camping options but it closes for the winter months, I recommend a biking/camping trip, it's a hoot. Lastly, please bring adequate water with you there is not a lot of shade and you will be climbing some steep fire roads! Most of these trails are on...

Never Ending Flow | Mountain biking Tahoe Donner in Truckee, Ca
Просмотров 12 тыс.Год назад
Tahoe Donner is located in Truckee, Ca about 25 minutes from Lake Tahoe. The riding here is fast, epic and just downright fun. Most of the trails I rode were on the intermediate level, nothing too technical or gnarly. The two trails that really stood out to me were Glacier trail and Skislope. Blissful flow from start to finish with incredible views of Donner Lake and the surrounding mountains. ...
Martis Peak / Kings Beach | Mountain biking North Lake Tahoe, Ca
Просмотров 2,7 тыс.Год назад
North Lake Tahoe offers a ton of world class mountain biking options, it can actually be a little overwhelming to choose what to ride. The obvious choice for many is to ride Northstar but it has recently shut down for the riding season. The route I did in this video linked 10 trails together, starting from Martis Peak all the way down to Grist Mill Loop East. Everything on this ride was at an i...
Mountain biking The Irish Hills in San Luis Obispo, Ca
Просмотров 3,5 тыс.Год назад
The Irish Hills Natural Reserve is located right outside of downtown SLO. It offers up about 8-10 miles of rocky, fast rolling single track. The loop is pretty easy to follow especially starting from where I did, linking onto King trail and working counter clockwise. I parked off Madonna road on DeVaul Ranch Dr, it's pretty easy to locate with plenty of parking options near a small park and the...
Mountain biking Armstrong Pass / Corral Trail system in South Lake Tahoe, Ca

First and foremost, you can definitely shuttle up Horse Meadows fire road which is located off Luther Pass Road. I found the fire road to be moderately strenuous, it wasn't really that bad but the shuttle option is always nice. FYI there is a decent sized parking area up at the top! Horse Meadows Trail which is rated a black diamond is a beast. Steep at times, technical with a few sections of s...
Mountain biking Christmas Valley Trail in South Lake Tahoe, Ca
Просмотров 4 тыс.Год назад
The Christmas Valley Loop can be found off Luther Pass Road about 20 minutes south of South Lake. I parked in the Big Meadows parking area, which has plenty of parking and bathrooms. I started off climbing the Luther Stairs, which was very difficult yet still fun (kinda) Once you complete the Luther Stairs, you will be rewarded with an incredible view starting off The Big Meadow trail. Big Mead...
Escaping the summer heat! | Mountain biking Jackson Demonstration Forest in Mendocino, Ca
Просмотров 3,4 тыс.Год назад
Jackson Demo Forest is located about 15 minutes east of Mendocino, on Little Lake Road. There is over 50 singletrack trails in the area, so there is plenty of options. Most of these trails are beginner to intermediate, nothing technical ( I don't think I saw a single rock the entire day) You will be faced with some steep climbs throughout, some root sections, very tight hairpin turns and a good...
Mountain biking Hood Mountain Regional Park in Santa Rosa, Ca
Просмотров 2,7 тыс.Год назад
Hood Mountain is located in Santa Rosa, Ca right off highway 12, about 15 minutes northeast of Annadel State Park. Hood Mountain offers up a mix bag of steep fireroad climbs, winding fast single track and a few paved sections in the beginning. The Summit trail is the crown jewel of this experience. It's worth the climb all the way up, in my opinion. The views are incredible if it's not socked i...
Marin mountain biking - Rush Creek in Novato, Ca
Просмотров 2,8 тыс.Год назад
Rush Creek in Novato, Ca is located right off the Atherton exit on HWY 101. Rush creek offers up some really fun beginner double track and single track. All the trails here are green and beginner friendly but don't let that sway you, these trails run fast and have a few surprisingly steep sections. Just like anywhere else in the Bay Area weekends can be busy with hikers so keep that in mind. I ...
Mountain biking Mr.Toads Wild Ride in South Lake Tahoe, Ca.
Просмотров 3,2 тыс.2 года назад
Finally made the trek up to Tahoe and rode the famous Saxon Creek AKA Mr.Toads Wild Ride trail. It was definitely one of the hardest trails I've ever ridden, many double black features on this trail and certain spots are send it or walk...Choose wisely! the hardest features on Mr.Toads are in the beginning, lots of gnarly chunk that eventually opens up into some really good flow! The two climbs...
Mountain biking Waterdog Lake Park in Belmont, Ca
Просмотров 4,1 тыс.2 года назад
Waterdog Lake Park is located in Belmont, Ca about 30 minutes south of San Francisco. Most of the mountain biking here is beginner to intermediate, nothing too gnarly so a beginner could ride these trails. Most of the trails in Waterdog are singletrack, so keep that in mind if you're new to riding. Labor of Love, Chaparral Trail, Rambler and Canyon Creek are all very fast and flowy. Rambler is ...
Mountain biking Pena Adobe/Lagoon Valley Park in Vacaville, Ca
Просмотров 3,4 тыс.2 года назад
Lagoon Valley park is located right off I-80, on the outskirts of Vacaville. Parking is $5 dollars for the day, plenty of parking so I doubt finding a spot would ever be an issue. All the trails are easy to locate and most (if not all) have signage, which is great! Most of the trails here are beginner to intermediate, 10 miles of riding in the park will get you about 2,000 feet of climbing, giv...
Adventures in West Marin! - Marin mountain biking
Просмотров 2,4 тыс.2 года назад
In this video I decide to head out in West Marin. I started out in Woodacre, climbed up Conifer fire road which eventually links onto San Geronimo ridge fire road. You stay on that for a few miles and it eventually takes you to Grassy Slope Overlook, a hard green or easy blue singletrack trail. It's extremely overgrown in the beginning, so beware. It eventually opens up to some pretty decent fl...
A Bay Area gem | Mountain biking San Pedro Mountain in Pacifica, Ca
Просмотров 26 тыс.2 года назад
Pedro Mountain in Pacifica, Ca is one of the best places to ride your mountain bike in the Bay Area. This place has a little bit of everything, from beginner to advanced. I stuck to some of the classics in this video, Old Colma Road, Mile and the Boy Scout trails. Boy Scouts has some legit jumps and drops, so keep that in mind if you're considering it. Nelsons trail is a fun alternative exit, i...
A wonderland of trails | Mountain biking Angwin, Ca
Просмотров 4,2 тыс.2 года назад
Another Napa County classic, Angwin, California. The Pacific Union College Forest, more appropriately. Over 60 legitimate single track trails, plenty of jump lines, flow and tech. This place has a lot to offer to all skill levels, mellow fire roads and tame green single track to technical double black diamonds, 5 ft jumps and some steep, loose exposed areas that are not for the faint of heart. ...

Race Face Stash Quick Rip 1.5L Review
Hey Jake, this vid ended up in my feed, which is cool cuz it's been a minute. You've been a real inspiration to me and your vids are are always effective at getting me out reconning new spots, like the Jack London video did, as well as produced quite well. I also like your narrative format, how you like to provide more of a tour experience for folks, commenting and describing things as you go, rather than just straight DH runs. You appreciate the journey. I'll take inspiration from it for my own upcoming rides. I finally got a GoPro, as a gift. I don't think I'd ever buy one myself lol, I'm hella cheap. Keep up the great work and I appreciate you!
Thanks man, I appreciate that. If someone can draw any sort of inspiration from my videos then I did my job. Good luck with the GoPro & have fun!
Do you have the map export for this loop?
I do not! Sorry
My man. Didn’t think you were going to make the boulder on the climb of Serpentine. After riding the part several times a week I learned to always clear it. But to be honest, I prefer to ride the loop in the other direction 👍🏻
Both directions offer varied terrain and some different obstacles, not sure which direction I prefer more though. Thanks for the watch 😎
@ Hey, but to tell you the truth, since they built the flow track off the B17 Extension I rarely go counter clockwise anymore. Because I always start my ride from going up Porcupine, through the redwoods/large pines and dropping into the park from the top. Oh and another then. I was introduced to the park on a night ride with 5 friends like 20-25 years ago. It blow my mind
Nice! Tamarancho is awesome, it’s great to have something like it in Marin, we’re lucky!
I got 4.5 miles in and turned around. Couldn't handle the rocks and pedal strikes anymore. I'll be back.
Ah, yeah give it another try!
Enjoy your vids. Just watched the Del Val one. I’ll take a trip over there soon. I use to loop Rush Creek area in along with Mt Burdell when I lived in Novato. I recognized a few of the trails you were on dropping off the Ridge fire road, you know, the fast fun ones off limits to bikes😮). You might want to throw a subtle disclaimer in for these to let folks know to ride at their own risk or they could be cited as the MCOSD has stepped up their game and monitoring those trails(and over on Burdell)more. First hand rider experience speaking here.
Thanks! 👍
Can’t wait to get back up there when it’s green again. I’m within pedaling distance from home. Live right next to Annadel. What month was this ride?
Memorial day 23’
@ thus the greenery!
You are the true Ninja Warrior of this trail Jake!
Ha! 🥷
Guys just so you know annaselnisnt just a bike park it’s also fun to hike at
🤔
Please post gpx file in video descriptions too
👍👍
That’s a good ride man. I gotta try that one
It was! You should definitely check it out
@@JakeSpeakman Definitely one of these days
Fantastic tour of Skyline. Do you have a recommended/suggested tire PSI for rocky trails like these? Keep up the great videos!
Thanks! I use tubeless and i also use Cush core tire inserts (highly recommend especially if you ride lots of gnarly terrain regularly ) I always run 22 psi in my front and 25 in my rear, you can up your PSI a little more if you’re riding super rocky trails. Happy riding!
Did this trail and only crashed once, exhilarating!
Ha! Hopefully not too bad
Thanks going to try this place tomorrow.
Enjoy!
Cool video love that place. Road there for about 15 years before moving to TN, Thanks for the video hope to see more 😎
Right on, thanks! 🤙
@jakespeakman you should hit Big Chief next!
Maybe i will!
This was great! Thanks for taking us with. I was actually breathless lol.
Thank you!! 😁
Just got a ebike if you have any bay area trails to check out please let me know!
Right on. Are you a beginner?
An awesome place to ride 🤘🏼Only drawbacks are lots of climbing and too much evil poison oak 😬. I’d recommend wearing tights and keeping arms covered as well and wash your riding clothes with Tecnu 👍🏼. One last word of advice, take all valuables with you. There’s been car burglaries as of late at the local lots and along the roads.
Damn you poison oak! Damn you thieves!
@@JakeSpeakman LMAO 🤣, yup, it’s violated me on several occasions 😖🤣
Coming through? How does that work for you? If was hiking uphill with my wife and kids we d probably knock you off your bike . You ever think you f a bell or maybe rider up? Something that doesn’t scream asshole
5:52 that's where I bent my derailleur on the super narrow trail
Ah, i know the feeling.
Just rode this today (no shuttle) the table top jumps on Corral was the most fun. Your video was quite helpful. Thanks
Thanks! Glad to hear it 👊
Hey Jake, always down to ride with you a buddy! Lmk if you are interested going out there sometime soon
Sounds good, i will!
My husband is getting me into biking but I am still scared, especially of downhill. Do you think this is good for beginer beginers???
Great to hear! Yes, i do. The trails here are pretty mellow but do have some steep sections with trail exposure (trails with a steep grade right alongside it) i think Crockett Hills would be a great introduction into single track. Have fun!
@@JakeSpeakman thank you so much for your reply. I really appreciate it. I subbed and will check out your other videos.
@@RosettaStoned462 Thanks! 😎
Amazing riding and awesome terrain. Makes me miss the PNW though haha.
Thanks! 😎
Santa cruz bikes I assumed were usa but I think they're from some other countries
Most carbon is manufactured in Taiwan
I love the backside because 99.9% of the people are cool back there since it’s technically “illegal” and we’re all breaking the law, I ride with my off leash dog up there all the time. I call that trail Q2 as well
Yep, China Camp is awesome
I can’t believe you climbed back ranch. That’s one of my favorite downhills because I’ve never seen anyone climbing it.
The downhill is probably a bit more fun.
Some more history- don’t forget about that girl that killed her parents and tried to burn the bodies in one of those fire pits
😳Oh damn, didn’t hear about that.
That first part should be a black Especially because on camera nothing looks as bad as it is and that looked hectic on tv. No room for error either
Yeah i could see it being a black
Where do you park for that ride
I parked at the end of County View road
It’s called fog dude
🤔
Your walk is unique….but unless those are ankle weights, please pull up your shin guards when descending 😮
Knee pads, never wear them anymore ha!
This is my next ride for sure next week ! Thanks for making this video. I hope I don’t get lost there. lol 😂
Awesome, have fun! You'll be fine, use Trail Forks or something!
Looks incredibly dangerous . Definitely won’t walk this trail next time I’m around there especially with people like this 😂 wtf
🤔
cool
😎
The yellow landscape and dried up gutters were super rad. Felt like an AC video game.
Del Valle FTW! 🤙
Great trails and Nice ride.👍
Thanks! 😎
Bro, Hawks peak is the climbing trail. Come back and try Morherlode and hidden gem dh
👍
Thanks for the recommendation!
No problem! 🤙
Min. 9:40 "nothing too technical"... It gets technical right after lol. #rewatching
😆
Hope you loved the trails. I’ve spent 100’s of hours running them and still do. I know us runners can be annoying but love to see everyone enjoying the outdoors. Thanks for posting.
I did, it was a great trail system. I’ve never had any issues with runners, keep enjoying the trails.
Watching this video a few weeks back brought me here this weekend from San Jose, CA. Thanks for the share.
Nice! Long drive, hope you enjoyed it!
I have a really nice Bell and I simply ring it when I need to which is when I can't see around the corner and in areas where I might surprise someone. Bells that are constantly rattling all the time are simply annoying as all hell.
Agreed!
How technical was the park? Thinking of taking my gravel bike. Any trails to avoid?
Not really that technical, mainly fast flowing singletrack. Beautiful place, enjoy.
@@JakeSpeakman thanks!
Really appreciate the video man!! i wouldn't know where to begin if i went there without watching your video ahah
No problem! That’s why i make these 🤙
How did you get from bottom of Two Quarry to top of Lawndale?
It was a big ride day, lots of pedaling.
Yeah, Jake, thanks for the video dude. Not sure if you’re still doing them but we appreciate all your efforts. One day I’ll get out and ride with you. Enjoy your time in Petaluma San Rafael sure misses you.
Thanks! The channel is on a hiatus but it’ll be back. I love making videos and connecting with people like yourself, stay tuned! 🤙
How’d you get back to the car? Reverse it or shuttle?
Shuttle, my wife dropped me off in the beginning and picked me up at the end.
Thank you! Love the videos!
Gotta love hikers just standing where they are in the way instead of chatting where there’s room. Calle (Caw-yay), means streets road in Spanish.
👍
@@JakeSpeakman I live in the area and have had many interactions with them on the trails, they take pleasure in being a barrier
👍
