I did, easy peasy, lemon squeezy. Same car too, just a Petrol 1.6 XTR version with VTi 120 bhp motor. Just take your time and never rush it! If necessary for memory, take photos of every step.
While I was busy, I also cleaned, revised and painted the calipers bright red. Looks great behind the spokes of the aftermarket wheels.

The only comment I would make is to make sure the disks are "washed" in brake/carb cleaner first to make sure the anti corrosion "transit oil" is removed.. Other than that, perfect job.

A fair point, generally I would recommend it as they come coated in oil to prevent rust
These particular ones are coated in what seems like a zinc plating and wears off when used. That dull matte finish is easy to spot.
It saves having to clean off the disks they are ready to go straight on, i find it very handy.

Excellent work! To bleed / flush the ABS unit using for example diagbox, is it required to have a pressure bleeder device connected ?

      Hi there
To be honest i do not yet know as i haven't done it. No real need so far as the fluid has remained clear and the brakes are sharp.
I think the diagnostic equipment makes the
Abs pump build pressure itself, the diagbox interface usually is good that way in that it has on screen instructions.

A+++. I need to do this. How do you know when the brake discs are worn to need replacing? I have the Haynes manual and I was looking for a minimum thickness of disc but couldn't find a figure. I have a micrometer to measure them as well.
    Nice electric bleed pump.
I love my Peugeot Partner HDi 2015. It's a 120bhp model. Same as the Citroen Berlingo. However I get really annoying continuous knocking noises from the front suspension driving on bad surfaces. I replaced the suspension top mounts several years ago which seemed to temporarily cure the noise although not totally, but now with 15k more miles on the clock the knocking and rattling is back with a vengeance. It's driving me mad. It passes the MOT no problem. My useless local main stealer couldn't find anything wrong.
I just put new tyres Michelin Cross Climate 2 97V (XL load) on all corners and the handling and ride is MASSIVELY improved. It previously had Michelin Primacy 3 93V tyres and they were crap. Admittedly they had covered 44k miles but they were crap from 22k miles. The side walls are so soft like cheese, too soft for the weight of the vehicle making the handling and steering wallowy and vague. For their replacement I have gone for Michelin Primacy 4+ 97W for when summer arrivess and hoping being a higher load rating like their Cross Climate 2 brothers, will be a MASSIVE improvement as well. A tyre with load rating 93 is not high enough for this vehicle imho. 93 load rated tyres give awful wallowy sloppy steering and handling as the side walls aren't strong enough for the weight of the vehicle.
Anyway if you know what the knocking front suspension could be then this would be great. From my search of the internet my experience with this does not see to be an isolated case. The way the suspension top mount secures is crap in my view and may well be the cause as you either you cannot get it tight enough or if you just about do it easily works loose allowing the strut to rattle in the mount, metal on metal. Design flaw.

If you haven't done the discs yet, the min is 24mm, pg 9.1 of the Haynes manual. Its very diyable but needs a right battering to get the old disc off, a modified puller, heat, lump hammer. Yikes...

Hello. What is the tire size on your berlingo? Thanks.

Hi , Great vid, many thanks.
I'm bleeding the brakes on my 2007 Berlingo i tried bleeding using the same pressure bleeder which you used. Nothing is coming through even at 20psi. At first i suspected the abs pump but with the vehicle stationary and ignition off the valves should all be open, i think. I'll try the diagnostic tool next, I have one which runs abs pumps. Do you know the procedure for bleeding Citroen brakes including the abs pump? If it's anything like 2010 Ford Transits pity help me..😂

      Hi
Not 100% sure about where the abs bleeding option is in the software but its not hard to rummage through the menus to find it
Strange though, not many PSA cars where i have needed to use anything other than this pressure bleeder. Is there no fluid at all 4 wheels?

Im about to go try again with the pressure bleeder. I only tried on wheel furthest from the master cylinder. Im gonna try setting the bleeder up and encouraging the flow with a dab on the brake pedal.
Msny thanks for yourcreply and the excellent video.

This process includes bleeding the brakes, im using that tool so its a lot quicker than the 2 person method of bleeding brakes
