That doll was likely a memorial doll. Back in the day when a child died if the family had the money a doll would be made in their image with the childs own hair and a outfit made of cloth from the child's clothing or a replica of an outfit the child had. There's actually a market for this type of memorable. See if you can match the name on the doll to any family records. Get copy's, and try and find a photo of the child if possible. All of that will increase the value, should you want to sell.
