To be honest, nothing against age gap, but, I think that this can happen, older person can think that, simply think that by you doing stuff weirdly. Anyways same with me and they are dumb for not realising that you wanted only best for them, besides not everybody grows up in family that they are not yelled at for certain trivial things and every day rules would be changed...
