I have The Hog and love it so when this came out I jumped on it. Its a damn good pedal but as I have a Limelight and a Notaklon I actually prefer those so ended up moving it on.
I preferred the tallon to the protein, just because I'm not a fan of the green side of the protein, but I love the blue side. And I'm still not sure which pedal I preferred between the dual drive and the limelight. I think the dual drive is more versatile, but I'm a sucker for a boost built into a pedal lol
@@gearnighthang the green side of the protein is a TS circuit hey, I definitely prefer the BB or Klon better also. To me the Limelight has a more amp like gain structure than the Dual Drive. Less boxy. Both good pedals though!
I use the Keeley D&M Drive on my board. Klon on one side for a clean boost, and OCD on the other for a medium gain OD.
Crazy tube circuit (HiPower) and King of tone (duellist) might be some good contestents!

Honestly, the tallon has more versatility and seems to respond really well to a rhythmic right hand.
I agree, it's super versatile. It really good, but there's not a bad choice between the dual drive and limelight. They're both excellent!
Big fan of the Dual Drive! You found my favorite setting--Klon as a clean boost into the BB side.
That is forever known as the tyler setting now. lol

i moved my limelight pretty fast, but i’m curious what you find better about those 2 pedals compared to the tallon?
