I don't know of this ever being confirmed, but it's possible... It could also be related to his harsh childhood though... Or maybe some social development issue... Psychopaths and the like exist in the real world without any need for love potions for an excuse...
Either way, it is interesting... Whether the love potion was directly an issue or whether the love potion lead to Tom not having an actual loving family, which then lead to his issues, it could still be a strong contributing factor... Although, it's not like Harry grew up with a loving family either... Maybe they were still better than what Tom had though... Oh well... Different people can have very similar experiences, but still turn out pretty different.

After last movie, Lucius was caught being a death eater and was sent to Azkaban. So the Malfoys went from a powerful family that worked closely with the Ministry of Magic to a family with a criminal. Also, Lucius broke the prophecy Voldemort asked him to retrieve, so the Malfoys also lost their "respectable" position among the death eaters. That's why Draco is so angry and stressed this movie.

They don't really mention it in the films, but the reason why they get a new defense against the dark arts teacher every year is because Voldemort cursed the position. It wasn't elaborated in the movie, but Snape styled himself as the Half-Blood Prince when he was a kid because his mother's name is Eileen Prince. He wasn't particularly fond of his father who abused him, and he's proud of his wizarding origin (and desperate to escape from his muggle origin) so he acknowledges his wizard blood by styling himself as a half-blood Prince.
One clue is that the book owner is exceptionally skilled in Potions, which Professor Snape actually is. Some people are pointing out a "plot hole" that Snape was teaching them wrong instructions to his students if the Potions book is indeed flawed with errors. But we don't actually see or read about him teaching from it, he was always laying out his instructions on the board (so he's actually teaching them his own "improved" methods all this time).

It’s an amazing book and I’ll stand by that. • @LegendMagystik

So the thing about Ginny and Harry is in the books Ginny was a much more fleshed out character, and the build up to their relationship was a large part of the book. They knew they couldn't leave out the relationship but without splitting the movie into 2 parts like Deathly Hallows there's not near enough time to justify Harry and Ginny getting together. In the book they get together roughly half way through the school year and spend quite a bit of time together before they start dating too. She's one of his most reliable quidditch players (Harry is Capitan now since Oliver, as you call him Turtleneck, has graduated at this time). And in the books Harry and Ginny share their first kiss after the house cup Quidditch match that Harry had to miss because of a detention. In front of the whole common room celebrating (including Ron) they have their kiss in the books.
The movie also skips over an entire storyline on how Dumbledore got the ring. Short version is through various means of magical investigation he tracked the ring himself to Voldemorts relatives house where Voldemort had hidden the ring after killing all his relatives to hide the evidence and try to hide everything to do with his identity as Tom Riddle, since he was ashamed of being a Half-Blood himself. Looking forward to Deathly Hallows! :)

It's not brought up in the movies IIRC, but the reason all the adults say "he who shall not be named" is due to back when Voldemort was in power there was a magical "trace" on his name so the death eaters could locate anyone who spoke his name, so it became habit to say something other than Voldemort :/

Oh that one where Snape is the Half Blood Prince and they never once tell you why or how he's the Half Blood Prince or give you all the incredible Tom Riddle backstory. This isnt my least favorite movie, but it still hurts my soul as HBP is my favorite book in the series.
This is significant because Prince comes from his mother Eileen Prince who was the magical one of his parents and he's a half blood, something death eaters despise in favor of pure blood elistism despite Voldemort also being half blood. That is another detail you were suppose to learn in this movie as his mother basically drugged and graped his father with a love potion... Hence the fixation of how bad love potions are throughout the film.
Basically the whole book is about the duality of man, including the struggle of cruel, bully ass Draco being backed into the corner and regressing to a scared child whose whole family has been threatened by a mass murderer. It wasn't just him. It was his mother and father that would have been offed.
Oan the other part they leave out besides that bit with the bridge is how much this is bleeding into the nonmagical world and just how many bodies are begining to stack up. The movie just... Failed on some many points while also giving us some of the most believable acting of the teenage cast actually being.... Teenagers.

The book offers much more insight in Dumbledore's quest for clues and memories about Tom Riddle. Also it offers a completely different opening as well with Dumbledore going to fetch Harry at the Dursleys and telling them that he now owns a house (Sirius made Harry his heir). It is a very funny scene. The trains tation scene doesn't even exist in the book and is completely out of the story despite being a masterpiiece of story telling in itself.
The book also handles Ginny and her relationship with Harry much better.
The first bird died, the one alive was a second one.
It's by far the least favorite movie of the series of many people as well, including me.

The movies are very dark from the start of this one on....and they're amazing. The only time Ive cried in a HP movie was at the end of this one when they all raise their wands for Dumbledore, and once in the very last movie but I won't say when :D

15:15 - It's an old-fashioned (generally) gentlemen/etiquette/manners move, for a man to stand up whenever a woman is sitting down at the table, as a sign of respect and welcoming. Harry was definitely being extra by doing it, which is why Hermione and the teacher gave him a look. That was a big 'Harry likes Ginny' confirmation type moment. It was basically 1 step away from him going over to help her with her seat.

Snape's mother was Eileen Prince, and she was a wizard.
    Snape's father was a muggle.
Therefore, Snape is Half-Blood, and he took on his mother's name because when he joined the dark side he took on that vision of "wizards are superior to muggles".
    Therefore --> The Half-Blood Prince
