Thanks for the video it helped me alot! Im posting to give a tip for ppl who perhaps are struggling with the C + Spacebar method as I was, I started trying with CTRL and realized you dont need to have shift held when you hit jump + CTRL. Just make sure to hold it (shift) while climbing and right up until the point you hit spacebar and CTRL (or C) just like in his video. Ive started hitting it a decent amount this way. Hope this helps anyone, thx again for the tutorial NineLives.
Thanks man, appreciate it. Pinned your comment so other people can see it if they are struggling with the space + C method. That's just what I found worked for me, but it is all preference. Glad the guide helped man :)
@@vaffanclash i doing this with spacebar ( jump) + mouse 4 (crouch) , so what i do : i use left hand and right hand too , it was easier way to do right :)
The biggest tip I found that helped me was to know when I was early and when I was late. If you jump in the air and get no boost, you're late. If you don't jump at all, you're early. This helped me out a TON when learning the timing, hope this can help another too!
A tip that helped me get more consistent quicker was before you climb a wall look straight down. Your camera will jolt upwards as the climbing animation begins and this got me to have a better visual indicator to when to slide jump. Doing this with rampart walls is especially helpful because they're quite short. This makes it so that the jolt is almost perfectly timed with the time frame you need to do the super glide inputs.
To get it most of the time is by using the sound cue when your character climbs up something. For instance when your character does the last "huf" when climbing press space bar to super glide.
I'm just gonne leave this here: It took me SUPER LONG to figure out that you actually need to input jump first. I just realized that and suddenly I can superglide. Basically if you're using spacebar and C, make sure to hit spacebar first, and C after. Still almost at the same time but in order. I watched a bunch of guides on this and nobody mentioned it in any of them
yeah i actually realized this shortly after making this guide and could just never be bothered making a new one, you can see i8t in the key inputs but at the time i wasn't sure. thanks for the comment also man, hopefully other people that are struggling read this :)
Just a quick tip/addition that kept me from gliding for a long time is to use crouch (hold) and not crouch (toggle) as i was doing, the minute i swapped them i started super gliding 9/10 times
Oh my, I had been struggling doing this and completely gave up on it. Out of curiosity I tried again with the help of this guide, and it finally clicked. I bound an alternative key for crouch on c, and it really feels like hitting space and c simultaneously. The main issue was when to hit the keys on climb animation, and with just 10 minutes of practice I already succeed 3/5 times. Thanks dude
As soon as I see it on the apex rollout subreddit i instantly clicked on it and also thx for the guide the timing indeed can be a little tricky but im pretty sure this is worth learning and again thx bro ima try it in the firing range
Oh yep thought I'd share it on the roll outs reddit as those players are generally gonna be most interested in this type of thing haha, also you're welcome man, hope it helps :)
It’s very hard to do at first, but keep trying because after 10-15 you should get very close. Once you figure it out, find a rhythm between the input, like 1 (jump/climb) 2 (jump+slide). If you find that rhythm it makes it so much easier to do it consistently, because it turns it into muscle memory a bit faster. The rhythm changes depending on the height of the object, but a rough estimate will help you figure it out
That was actually a great tip with resting thumb on left side of spacebar. In my 2 years of playing apex I have hit a total of 4 super glides. 5 minutes after watching this video that number has doubled!
I still haven’t done a super glide and I’ve watched countless tutorials and i am getting so frustrated trying it.I’ve been doing something that at first I thought was a super glide but I figured it out that what your doing is much faster.(that was a heartbreaking moment for me lol)
Yeah a lot of people actually have that problem at first, they think they're super gliding but not actually. Can't really give any helpful tips other than practice and find the timing
ive been trying to superglide for over a month now every time i hop on i go in the firering range and try to superglide for like 30 minutes sometimes less and it just doesnt fucking work
Just realised i've been doing the glide part for ages in the form of a slide after climbing so it's literally as easy as jumping at the same time you would press side. wtf this is wild xD
this helped me out a lot. I got consistent with it within 5 mins with this guide. The main thing that helped me was the fact that you press space a frame before crouch and not at the same time
Thats sick man, glad it helped. I made this guide with the key inputs because i felt it wouldve been helpful to me when i was learning superglides, but had to just kind of experiment and figure it out myself
I'm on controller but your guide helped me figure out the timing. I was using my left paddle for crouch and right paddle for jump but your video made me realize having each input on a separate hand was messing up my timing so now I use my right stick to crouch and right paddle to jump. I instantly saw an improvement in my consistency.
@@scarcetiger2165 I have a set of playstation brand paddles (look up playstation back button attachment) that attaches to my controller and gives me two buttons on the back of the controller. double binding does work, it just depends on the keyboard. Some keyboards read inputs slowly and in horizontal order, some do the opposite. Pls don't make narrow minded assumptions because something didn't work you.
It doesn't work for supergliding. But either I don't give a shit about this game or the dirt eating rock brains like you that still play it. Thanks for the comment though :)
Really good tip for anyone: I kept struggling so second bound my "hold crouch" key and "jump" key to my mouse 4 and 5 buttons (the buttons by my thumbs). I found that it was the perfect angle that my thumb would hit them milliseconds apart from each other to get the superglide every time.
I have noticed some legends are easier to super glide than others. Rampart and horizon are great legends to practice with and they seem to have more tolerance to the timings than other legends
thank you so much this helped but i have an other tip if your legend is always sliding when you are trying to do it i found out the doing it earlier in the climb helps.

omg, after practicing and practicing I've realized it's a bit more a double jump while going forward with a slide.
well done mate!
Legit got it first try sliding down the entrance of firing range on the sandstone blocks 🤣
bro first time tried the one thumb space bar and c literally did it twice in a row which a used to barely do one every 10 attempts
Yeah that's good dude, definitely helps with consistency
