This is a guide I've been looking for for months. I always find a *controller* guide and only later find out its a pc configuration setting guide for controller tap strafe. Never knew the frame rates effected zipline super jumps. The only movements I struggle with are those and Mantle jumps right now I'd like to see your take on a deathbox interaction guide. Alot of people aren't aware that you can superglide and wall bounce off them. You can also change your bottom mapping for Crouching in the box and done tap sprint for moving in the boxes A
Bro ain’t no way your on console. I literally just tried everything you said & none of it worked for me. I didn’t get no high jump from double tapping my jump. Also I can only super glide going forward & I can’t do it off everything. I’m sorry bro but there’s no way your on console. Maybe a controller yeah but you are on PC. If I’m wrong then please prove it & I’ll gladly man up & say I was wrong but I’ve been playing apex for about 4 years now & my movement is not like yours like it doesn’t even look or feel the same.
Thankful for content like this. The console community for this game tends to take a backseat in terms of content, so videos with genuine effort put into them like this for console Apex is dope to see. Wish I had this when I was newer to the game and learning console movement for the first time.
The faide slide is very similar to the instant slide. You also don't necessarily need to be crouched to do an faide slide. The crouching is there to basically stop their current movement. In other words it can be done standing up just as easily and District explains it very well. Great guide and i appreciate it.
Yeah the faide slide is harder on controller because holstering on roller takes longer than mnk but same thing applies. Thanks for the comment broski, glad you enjoyed the guide 🤝
@@Sakiiboo They faide slide is basically an instant slide. He was using different names because the instant slide he described still had the weapon out hence the reason you need legends with speed boosts to preform it otherwise you'd dead slide.
@@Death-pg7vg Ah tbf I didn’t watch most of the video, tbh none at all cause I got bored, don’t play console much anymore and already learnt movement techs like jump fatigue wall bouncing, etc. I never had an issue with holstering my gun it feels super easy to do, maybe I just hold the controller weirdly but I find holstering super easy, I usually only run with my gun out sometimes, most of the time I spend holstering my weapon for that extra speed boost.
Only because he uses b for slide, most people use button puncher because they’re used to halo and call of duty. So it would be your right stick to slide down off the zip.
It should be noted that if you don’t have back buttons you’re going to need to at least use a half claw grip on the right, I also map my crouch to the right stick to make slide jumping easier on my hands

THANK YOU! I swear I can only find controller guides for movement which is completely different than console movement. I thought I'd be stuck with no movement dying to strike packs all the time. ❤ Much love!
Console gang. Also the pressing crouch after interacting with a zip is big brain. Always struggled with dropping down a zip and getting into a lower entryway. Thanks for that tip 👍
Hey man thanks for this! There was a few things that I didn’t quite know but I stated off intermediate and now knowing b-hops are different and that theres 2 different versions of wall bouncing and how to do them both I think I might die less! Thanks dude
I thought you tapped once with super jumps when i trained i immediately start pulling them off in ranked and laid 17 kills in duos! Not 20 though.. sadly
Great content. The lyric slide works better with bangalore passive. I used it to run from danger and its almost impossible to catch her. I never knew it was already a thing
Might screw over a lot of people, but I rerouted my button layout for jump and slides. Jump to LB and Slide to right thumb stick. Makes movement easier for those who don’t have scuff.
90% of the console player base don't know how to properly slide jump and I find it so interesting. Doing correct slide jumps is actually not that easy but can be mastered within 10 minutes in the firing range. But instead, you see all those people sliding too long than jumping or jumping than sliding or deadsliding because not enough momentum between jump. My point is, so many decent player are lacking the basic.
Awesome video. Learned a lot. Liked and subscribed! One thing I will say though it would be easier to follow if instead of saying "press a/b" just to say "press jump/crouch" it's universal and would just be more clear for different consoles. Thank you!
So bc this didn't touch on deadsliding and how to avoid it. make sure that before you go for another slide jump you've let just enough time pass in between your last one. you can use visual queues to nail it perfectly, just look at your characters left hand after you do a slide jump. once it lowers out of view the 2nd time that's exactly when you can do another full speed slide jump.🎉
