Knew about this from Mokey, trying to make this a habit for all my wallbounces but sometimes I either forget or don't use it for taller walls. I haven't really made it a habit just yet so I tend to wallbounce without the side inputs in fights.
Same, I was always wondering whenever I saw clips of players wallbouncing off of small objects how they managed to do it, and in one mokey vid he mentioned that holding side inputs cancels the mounting animation thingy Ever since then I've racked up so many clips of me wallbouncing and juking my oponents
Thanks for this. I watched all kinds of high rated videos on the topic, and couldn't get it from their explanation. On MnK, I'm hitting the directionals (A-D) just as the climb engages with the immediate secondary jump, and it's working like a charm. Now its just a matter of making it 2nd nature.
This can be used to wall bounce in any direction too. If you're wall bouncing at an angle and tap the opposing direction right as you bounce then you can bounce backwards. It's useful when combined with a fatigue jump to get space from an enemy while still keeping them in view. It can also be combined into tap strafing chains where you an 180° tap jump around a corner, wall bounce back towards the corner, and tap strafe back around the corner.
Immediately helped me, I realized at a point that wall bouncing had something to do with with mounting or running animation but could only get it a couple times, inputting a or d makes a world of difference, dropping a sub just because this lol.
I love how u use the instrumental from juice wrld's "go hard". Its my favourite instrumental of all time and its nice to see someone else liking it too
Ill implement that more into my playstyle, I actually did it without being concious about it, but now that I actually understood whats goind on I might hit the wall bounces better, thx for the vid
but how could i fetigue wall bounce on lower projects? i tried to do so but climbing up the wall or just release from it and get no bounce from it.Anything wrong with my inputs or what else i should be aware of there?
I didn't realise that people actually wallbounced without the movement input until i watched a movement guide recently. I've always wallbounced this way when I first picked up the game and my friend showed that you can wallbounce (he wasn't inputting any movement keys that time because even he was surprised that you could use a movement input while wallbouncing) I've actually tried it before a while after i started the game but back then I was using both tap strafe and jump input on scroll down (now i dont, just jump on scroll down and tapstrafe scroll up), and it made normal wallbouncing without any movement input impossible because i would tapstrafe back into the wall and lose all my momentum, therefore i dismissed it. It still semi-worked (not as much as a normal wallbounce with jump and a/d only) if i hold a directional input like in the video though, thats why i thought it was the only correct way to wallbounce.
I have a hard time hitting the wall sometimes, do you need to strafe first with A or D in the direction of the wall? I just run in an angle directly to the wall but sometimes wont hit the wall bounce.
BRO I'VE BEEN RECENTLY LEARNING APEX MOVEMENT AND I'VE BEEN WALL BOUNCING INCORRECTLY THIS WHOLE TIME THIS SHIT FEELS SO MUCH BETTER YOU'RE LITERALLY SO HELPFUL
I use this tech since 2020 now and it was very useful to the spot on KC where we have 2 platforms and only a wall and no ground so you fall off the map if you miss the bounce. These times, movements wasn't that much popular so with the instant wraith phase it was just insane. But im playing on controller so i use the normal and the side wall bounce to be more efficient since i dont have binary input.
What i mean for the 2 tech is : you lose more momentum when you use the side wall jump ( if you were already fast i mean cuz the side input is a lurch and not a strafe cuz we didn't touch the ground yet.) so for fast movement with a lot of momentum like using horizon and keep speeding and bounce, you will lose a lot of speed with the side wall bounce instead of the standard. Hope someone understood... Im French i struggle a bit in English.
If you've run enough to be able to slide, you don't actually have to fully complete your slide before you jump. You can press crouch to slide and then jump at the wall while you've barely just started to slide. The initial slide jump should barely move you but you should get height from the wall jump
When I learned about 3 weeks ago that you dont have to let go of your sticks to walla jump it changed my game quite a bit. I could not for the life of me let go of sticks in a fight
I tend to tap strafe in and out of walljumps(wallbounces) and when i do that i NEVER got that momentum drain like in 1:16, maybe i wallrun like u without realizing but i don't think i do tbh (also yes i'm talking about small surfaces btw)
Wow i thought this was what people normally do during a wall bounce I learned that when I was trying to practice wall jumping I thought that In order to move to the side during wall bounce you have to press a or d that why I kept doing it
For those who are wondering how he's doing the wall jump without sliding you have to have jump fatigue activated so literally just jump once before the wall and then you can jump again and wall bounce off the wall without sliding you just need jump fatigue activated, and for the normal wall bounce you want to look the way you want to bounce right before you tap the wall so when you hit the wall your stick or strafe button on keyboard are already pushed the direction you want to go to make it smooth, he doesn't explain it very well here
So yeah the reason people will tell you to not press anything when you are learning wall jump is you most players dont get the concept of letting go of going foward since that will make your wall jump worse, eventually for max distance and speed you want to start straffing on the wall the direction you are going before you jump.
Decided to try this as I want to improve my movement, my movement tech atm is tap strafe, bhop, slide on ledges and that’s it 🤣. This video helped me to be able to wall bounce, wall bounce to elevate onto a crate, tap strafe into wall bounce and then tap strafe to the direction I want to move. Next to learn is super slide and super jump from zip :)

Gruic always shows and demonstrates amazing tips and tricks as always, love seeing what you do

U can give urself a buffer time to line up those harder jumps it's awesome :)
Edit : I see your example now! Great explanation as always
Fr. Btw oni you are becoming the "some guy without a mustache" of apex comments. I see you everywhere XD
@@Gruic03 I love this game and scene
Cheers brother
Inputting a direction key helps so much in doing much farther wallbounces, it's insane
I really like your technical explanations gj m8
I love how u use the instrumental from juice wrld's "go hard". Its my favourite instrumental of all time and its nice to see someone else liking it too
Thank you been struggling to understand hope to do this
I love you. I’ve been struggling with this for too long
Ill implement that more into my playstyle, I actually did it without being concious about it, but now that I actually understood whats goind on I might hit the wall bounces better, thx for the vid
Yoooo thanks for making this video.... I'll try implementing wall run to my wall jump everytime from now on
Pls make a video where u show ur stats and, settings and stuff, tips to Improve, awsome content BTW❤️
i’m excited to try this out tomorrow. thanks gigachad ab man.
Bro, ur videos are amazing for movement nerds no cap xD, do u know if this rule also applys for roller?
but how could i fetigue wall bounce on lower projects? i tried to do so but climbing up the wall or just release from it and get no bounce from it.Anything wrong with my inputs or what else i should be aware of there?
It's really useful tips thank you man.
Thank for 1440x1080, it's so good
I remember learning about these a few months ago, Stormen said it in one of his videos!
Holy shit you actually just helped me out so much
How does he do that movement after at 0:40? is it a tap strafe kinda thing? i always just bounce off with no control over my momentum
Do you play controller or mnk
Gruic any tips for switching weapons while supergliding or wall bouncing, new to mnk and have been watching your videos for guides
how do you get your keyboard on screen and do you see it while playing?
I didn't realise that people actually wallbounced without the movement input until i watched a movement guide recently.

I remember stormen pointed that out when asked about wall jumping on shorter objects
helll hyeaaaaaaaa this works saved me so much time with telling me this my movement is advanced forward thannks to you.
I have a hard time hitting the wall sometimes, do you need to strafe first with A or D in the direction of the wall? I just run in an angle directly to the wall but sometimes wont hit the wall bounce.

learned this from stormen few months ago. really useful
Can't believe I only see this now. Thx bro
Learned that from stormen, it changed my game knowing that allows you to wallbounce off of shorter objects

Thanks m8 that was precisely what I've been missing x33
Dude... been wondering how tf to wall bounce off low walls . tysm
😁
I can master all these techniques and always forget to use them in a fight, never fails
this actually changed my perspective on wallbouncing so much wtf
I learned that from a video that showed how to wall bounce off anything
if you do a wall run right before jumping u can wall jump from almost anything
Can you make a guide for how to tapstrafe? I'm trying to learn this technique from a couple of seasons but I cant get the timing right.
You have w bound to scroll wheel? If so I would watch a guide video as a refresher and then just practice in the firing range 20 minutes a day.
example (tap strafing to the right): run, slide, jump, hold d, spam w
@@strafeeto u cant tap strafe with spamming w key bro input is too slow for that
@@necrosapien Are you sure, I don't use mousewheel for tap strafe and I can do it perfectly.
Ah so that’s why i could never walk jump off those boxes. Good to know. thanks gruic
I need help I keep climbing the surface whenever I'm going to change direction do I have to do it before I jump or after
I'm on console btw
I got it nvm
The exact answer I was searching for. W vid
U r growing up so fast ggs
make a fade slide jump tutorial plz ty
When i hold strafe i often miss the wall.
me going into this video: i probably already know
me immediately into the video: :000
*boots apex*
>:) hope you learn something new broski
gruic out here revealing everything i know about this game
Bro do a super glide and tap strap guide pls pls pls
Do pls
is it bad if i do this on normal wall or do i lose speed cuz i alway hold a or d on small object and normal wall
I'm strugling to wall jump when I'm too close to the wall, I need like good distance, slide, and then do the wall jump. any tips?
You can jump on the Wall click w and the jump off the Wall i think its called infinte Wall bounce
OR slide earlier
u could tap strafe 90 degrees to a wall
If you've run enough to be able to slide, you don't actually have to fully complete your slide before you jump. You can press crouch to slide and then jump at the wall while you've barely just started to slide. The initial slide jump should barely move you but you should get height from the wall jump
Horizon
i already knew this from treree, this was like a revelation for me when i first got it
Dude you are awesome
Doing this by mistake, but somehow now i understand that is not

struggle for 1 week then 5 sec of u clip save me thx
The only walls i can reliably jump off of are the high flat walls in the Arenas spawn room
Brojust gave me spoken gold😮
i have 2k hours and i just learned how to wallbounce out of low surfaces. lol, this helped me a lot
ive always pressed a or d while wall bouncing without even knowing lol
HOLY FUCK THANKS!! NOW I CAN WALL BOUNCE ANYWARE
Great vid thanks

i taught myself how to wall bounce at the beginning of the round in arenas lmao
Nice bro
ima need to master this
I always do this bc i’m constantly infinite wallbouncing lmao
Omfg dude this has completely changed apex for me
Best vid on this
what is your FOV my man, 12?
Why am I only hearing about this NOWW??
How could I implement this on controller?
Does this work for controller as well
Does it work on controller/console im out of town rn so I can’t text it
Watch a video on the movement of titan fall speed runs and you’ll find out quickly this is quite important
What’s ur res
Me and my friend figured this out ourselves on accident
i dont use them on smaller obstacle in hope of messing it up and feel bad about it lol
*Wall bounces all stems from wall running.*
Whoever dropped a video saying don’t touch any input is giving out misinformation.
For those who are wondering how he's doing the wall jump without sliding you have to have jump fatigue activated so literally just jump once before the wall and then you can jump again and wall bounce off the wall without sliding you just need jump fatigue activated, and for the normal wall bounce you want to look the way you want to bounce right before you tap the wall so when you hit the wall your stick or strafe button on keyboard are already pushed the direction you want to go to make it smooth, he doesn't explain it very well here
Fatigue and regular wall bounces are one of my favorite movement techs actually so useful ruclips.net/video/6flaNwZp6A4/видео.html

OMFG. why the fuck don't they explain this part for the small box stuff. thank you so much i could never figure it out
I watched the same tutorial to learn wallrunning...
I was doing this but didn’t actually know
that's how I wall jump
hes flexing with his heirloom
