My vault has become so full that I have started using my characters and postmaster as extra storage. I needed a solution to help me decide what is worth keeping, so I made one.

This is incredible! This needs to be made into a website that links to your account and automatically updates data from its sources, it would be such a helpful and intuitive tool that way
I agree, and have been thinking the same since posting the video. I am looking into ways to automate the process within the sheet itself. But I am progressively thinking a website would be best. If I decide to go that route, I will probably announce it within the sheet and the channel. I am not sure how long it would take me to build, though.

Hey y'all! I am looking into ways to make the spreadsheet easier to fill out. My wife said something about "conditional formatting"....lol...so I just wanted to give a heads up that I am working to improve it further. Edit: I have added drop-downs to several columns that will automatically adjust the colors for you. The columns for Destiny Recipes do not have drop-downs, but when you type in a number it will change to the correct color. Finally, a weapon's name will also change to the "Mythic" coloring automatically if the correct criteria is met. Going forward I will maintain a Change-log within the sheet itself.

I still haven't automated this :[ but something that may make it much faster for you is if you export your weapons from DIM and then copy and paste the columns needed from that sheet into this sheet.
Nice to provide something like this for players. Inventory management is one of the many reasons I quit the game. Got tired of being overwhelmed.
I've had several friends do the same. If it wasn't for that then it was because of the power grind. The fixed that though so maybe one day they will address this too lol. 🤞
This is one reason why I am more inclined to weapon crafting when I had zero interest from the beginning. If I can just have one gun and swap the right perks and stuff on at a later date, that can be 3 - 5 storage slots freed up for perk combinations. That's what I did with five Amrits I couldn't decide on what I liked.
I also frequently take out weapons to test them to see if they're worth keeping or if a perk that I like works better with a different weapon. For example, Destablizing Rounds + Repulser Brace are an amazing combination with a Void gun and build; however, I much prefer those perks on an auto rifle like the ones on Last Wish compared to the new Scout Rifle from Season of the Witch. Instead, I kept the Precision Instrument and Rapid Hit perks to fit that weapon type.
Exactly! Makes them much more valuable than a random roll in most situations for me. Every now and then a random roll might drop with just the right additional perks that it becomes a definite keeper, but it is rare.
Some weapons in my collection are so old that their current versions can't even roll with the perks that mine has. I haven't been pulling my weapons out as often as I should to test them. So many of them have never been used at all, just added to the collection. But since I started this process I have actually been finding that several weapons deserved my love but weren't getting it lol.
Destabilizing rounds/repulser brace is a roll I’m praying we get on the re issued GoS auto when that comes out hopefully next season, also I really wanna try out destabilizing/loose change cause I feel like that would be a good roll for the new seasonal scout

@@xNeoNxCyaN I can tell you it feels as awesome as it sounds; I literally got it on my second Crota kill. I like to use a Demolitionist version for my Stasis build, which I find works perfectly with the stats on my armor drop rolls.
Thank you for sharing your process. I have done something similar a well. If Bungie would just give us 5,000 slots on the vault... I stopped playing Destiny for a year because after 1,600 hours, I spent more time managing my vault than playing the game. I don't need 5,000 "active" slots. Just some way to temporarily archive stuff.
Same! At times it limits how much I can really play. I would love to have more slots, I even agree with them not needing to be "active". Shoot...I would be willing to (whispers) pay money for more space, preferably as a one-time payment.
I had what I think would be an awesome idea when they first gave us the Collections. I have always wanted to be able to "feed" my roll into the Collections. The weapon is consumed, but now my Collections contains a recipe of that roll and that roll ONLY. I can't make more than one recipe for a weapon, but I CAN overwrite it whenever I please by feeding a new roll I have acquired. This would free up Vault space, eliminate the "What-ifs?", and allow me to grab the weapon again at some point in the future should I wish to do so. I imagine this wouldn't be as demanding as our Vaults are, but I do not know the inner workings of their code.
Edit: I forgot to add...to balance the "you could just feed a weapon and then grab it again, so there no point, people would abuse it." IMO, make it expensive to pull a new one out, charge me 3 golf balls, idc, make it expensive enough that it wouldn't be feasible to constantly pull stuff from it. idk lol

😂 yea, it's like that sometimes, smh. I did nothing but work on the spreadsheet for hours and hours. But when it comes to actually reading it afterwards my brain fights me every step of the way.

Holy- who the hell has time to make spreadsheets that the community actually likes and enjoys? Seriously, awesome! (Also, little update to the dawn chorus build from previous, ember of char DOES reapply scorch to the ignited target, but, i believe, on only certain enemy types. In legend Vox Obscura, i had seen that the Colossus at the beginning can survive an ignition, and he got scorched from his own ignition, and the Unstoppable Champion a little hit later also receives scorch from their own ignition. Its weird but really helpful)
Oooh, that's good info! I will pay closer attention next tie I am running it. Kinda seems like it's a pattern, minibosses and champs?
Edit: Actually, I don't think that Colossus is a miniboss, right? I haven't ran it yet this week lol
@@SatrixPlaysGamesno it's a red bar enemy, it just happens to live through the ignition. That's why I think it's certain enemies rather than just bosses/champs
(EDIT: Apparently it doesn't work on all enemies, and it isn't based off if it's a boss or not. It's still just as inconsistent, but it appears to scorch all the time in high end content, such as legend exotic missions)
My son looked in my vault the other day. He said 'why the hell do you have so many of the same weapon?'. I said, 'because I haven't tried them all yet'. I think I may have a problem with letting go😂,

Apparently, DIM has an option to export your data into a .csv... that would probably have saved a lot of time lol. Gonna try to look into it today if I can.
@@SatrixPlaysGames@SatrixPlaysGames, have you ever looked into it? Because that would be groundbreaking if we could link our own vault to your spreadsheet.
@@AD-hw3nk so I reached out to someone recently who has also made spreadsheets to see if they could help. They, in turn, reached out to the light.gg devs and we found out that currently there is not a way to easily export the data needed for this spreadsheet BUT that feature is in the works.
So, some form of streamlining may be possible sometime soon, but I still don't have a time estimate :/
Nice, but Bungie should do something for players, ... its crazy, I just want to have weapon 1 slot in inventory, with each new perk combination drop, just be able to select the combination of the already owned weapon. Why I need to choose what to have, whyyyy :)
That would be awesome! Only need one copy of the weapon and then just unlock the perks you don't have by getting drops that do have it.
Oh that would be amazing! It would feed my extreme satisfaction of fully unlocking something.

I was up to 599 like a month after getting the extra spaces.

I definitely would end up using any new space they gave us but I don't think we will get more space unless they do a serious overhaul to how the vault loads things. It is responsible for a lot of tower issues.
@@SatrixPlaysGames my two biggest issues are keeping lots of different rolls of weapons, then not even using half of them once. And the other issue is keeping high stat armor that I also seem to really never use...... But I have it in case I need it?!?
@@Based_Shogun this is me, too! Lol. I was able to convince myself to get rid of the armor, "I can just focus new pieces." With armor I get an awesome roll and think it's definitely going to get used but D2ArmorPicker says, "nah"
Are you introducing every detail and value manually from all 3 sources or is there a copy/paste place that reads the link kind of how DIM does with d2armorpicker ? BTW great video, keep it up. I am coming back to the game and is hard to know what still reliable and what no longer is needed, due to redundancy or ability of crafting with more suitable perk combos.
I entered all of the information in manually when I made the video. After publishing I did look into a way to automate some stuff with python and by exporting data from DIM. But I haven't don't any work to complete this yet. :[
@SatrixPlaysGames OK, thanks. I know it is not easy what you have accomplished. However, it is a great tool. Thanks, I find it very useful. There are 2 approaches I found easy to get the info input. DIM has an export option for a spreadsheet, and I just simply copied and pasted most of the info needed, and the second was adding some activation options that allow the user to click on the weapo without the massive manual input

How do you get to see the grade on light gg? I can't get it to work.
On light.gg navigate to God Rolls and then Roll Appraiser. It should ask you to login to your Bungie account. Do that, wait for it to load all your info. Then it should display all of your weapons just like how it looks in the video. The rating I used should be on the weapon icon at the top left of its info card.
If you have done that already, give me some info on what you have tried and I will do everything I can to get you up and running.

Did you manually type in these spreadsheets or any programming wizardry at play? I appreciate this level of effort. Been playing since d1 beta so I definitely feel your pain haha.
Everything shown in the video was manually entered , and it was...at the risk of scaring new users away...arduous... lol BUT since posting and sharing the sheet I have automated the color coding(Light, DIM, & Destiny Recipe ratings) and added drop-downs for common data (elements, frames, Light & DIM ratings). You still have to type in weapon names and perks(if you want those in there, like me). I have also learned that you can export your weapon data from DIM into a .CSV which would enable you to copy and paste weapon names and weapon perks. My wife says I should make an update video for these changes but I feel like it is too soon haha.
As others have said, building a website may be a better path and I have actually been thinking about doing just that. I have the skillset required but I don't know how long it would take me to do so. I also need to see how easily I could pull the ratings from the other websites.

@@SatrixPlaysGames I was going to mention the CSV output. CSV can be opened in Excel so maybe Python could be used to format it to your liking and in turn automate importing all that data.
