So, even if you are still reeling from the disappointing ending to this epic series, here’s an explanation of the Game of Thrones series finale.

All in all how did you feel about the final episode?
Not Bad ! but could have been BETTER
I feel nothing.
Looper I wasn’t happy that the dragon queen died . Nobody else needed to die smh 🤦🏾♂️
Disappointed that the last two seasons were so rushed and badly written, but I still cried when it ended. Especially because of the music and the brilliant actors.
hated that jon isnt king but its great ending
Arya went West, Jon went North, Drogon went East and the show went South.
lol nice
Exactly lol
Fucking nailed it!
Lmao perfect
Exactly.
Drogon still looking for the writers.
Ahahahahaha i hope drogon he finds them fast
Kenneth Miranda 😂
Not if Arya finds them first!
Lmfaooo....
And arya went to search for George rr Martin to make him complete his books.
Bran stark: Does nothing, gets everything
Jon Snow: Does everything, gets nothing
Cersei Lannister: Does everything wrong, lives till the end
Ned Stark: Does everything right, dies immediately

adventure begins with multiple, strong sub-plots swirling into a compelling, living storm you have to watch... ends with multiple, emotional outbursts, with logical responses swirling into a drain before dying.
Because Jon knows nothing, Bran knows everything!! 😀😀
Well, "I don't want it" and "she's mah queen" got him nothing
This was not the ending, I paid for! This was not epic nor should the show have never ending as Jon being placed no where when he was the king! Horrible writing here.
@@munmunchowdhury8544 bran is useless, there was no point in adding this character to the show
So apparently Drogon is the smartest character in Game Of Thrones.
So drogon knew that if he blew fire john would have been died. So it blew fire on the throne.
🤔 this statement also supports that drogon is the smartest character in GOT
@@ajithkumarvenkatesan4031 naw Drogon was heart broke over his mom and his love for Jon is what stopped him from killing Jon he burn the throne out of frustration and pain
Jon wouldn’t have burned
It's obvious Daenerys warg into Drogon. Like Jon did to Ghost when he "died". Her asss is still alive..... but in her dragon

Aegon ibn Rhaegar Targaryen objectively, they are epically great producers and screenwriters. Only the dumbest would claim otherwise
@@70mjc Slow clap.
Besed on your avatar, you're pissed off for Jon, but I invite you to rethink Jon's fate! You will feel better!
@@abbesatty9498 What did showrunners to his fate is ridiculously disrespectful. You may say 'It's GoT, everyone's fate is tragic and cruel' etc. But this was artifically created piece of shit with zero logic. (Why did he return to the life?, why he was screaming at the dragon?, why did his IQ get lower?, why it was revealed that Jon is Targaryen and rightful heir to the iron throne?, why he was sent to the night's watch if there is not any danger beyond the wall?)
@@70mjc I don't think someone contested it, but the ending they did it's not that professional. I mean, I can't call this the best series because of it's end and i think you can be a great producer, a good screenwriter, it's all useless if you can find a good ending. At their level they should be ashamed.
Man, I interpreted Drogon burning the throne much differently. He was clearly livid at Jon, but couldn’t bring himself to kill a Targaryen. I figured that melting the throne was his way of giving Jon the middle finger. If she can’t have it, no one will.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. Only question is where in the east did he take her body?

Bran the Pawn went the whole length of the chessboard in order to establish the Queen. And so, the kingdom of God was restored in the North to watch over the land. The game ended, new Dawn arrived. You are welcome.

Agreed
Couldn't agree more. Save my precious minutes. Thank you sir.
agreed, waste 2min and skipped after to just realize this is just a dumb summary but someone who wants views lol
Precisely. But at least they didn't claim, "the actors and cast worked HARD on the season", which seems to be the default defense for this crap.
Jon killing Daenerys didn't really remind me of Ned, it reminded me of Jaime. The Mad King was someone who had turned mad and wanted to burn thousands of people alive until Jaime (who had sworn to be loyal to him before) killed him right in front of the Iron Throne. And he had done this only to save all those people because he had felt more loyal to them than to his king. It's the same with Jon.
Killing the Night King and the whole army of the dead in 1 episode was a huge mistake. He was obviously an incredibly powerful being and I think there should have been more to it than that.
If the show had more funding I'm sure they would have

Its the iron ramp now
Well... that was pretty obvious.

You're a fucking Genius mate HAHA lol you're right
And I love seeing Drogon destroying the throne and not being mad at Jon, it shows the dragons are wise and knows Jon had no choice and to bring peace the only way was to destroy the old ways. Great direction
Bran was the mastermind all along. His two lines in the last episode: "why do you think I came here all this way" and "you were exactly where you were supposed to be" are the lines which many failed to understand Bran's genius to get till the throne. He didn't have the legs but he definitely had the brain. That my friends is the GAME OF THRONES.

I don’t get why she didn’t kill all those traders
Simple explanation:
D&D were hired by Disney to make Star Wars. So they stopped caring and just finished the show as fast and shitty as they could.
The Night King should have taken a season to defeat, not a single battle.
Then they teleported to Kings landing and defeated them in one battle.

@@swastikadas8357 Right on .
Robb Stark started "The North" independent movement. Never forget.
Or you could credit Greatjon Umber
The north remembers
Actually.... The Starks have ruled as the Kings of Winter from Winterfell for thousands of years, long before Aegon’s Conquest of Westeros. They became Lord Paramount of the North after King Torrhen bent the knee to the Targaryens. During the War of the Five Kings, Robb Stark became the first King in the North in centuries, but not the first ever. In the aftermath of the Battle of the Bastards, Jon Snow was named King in the North. After the death of Daenerys Targaryen in her Conquest of Westeros, and the election of Brandon Stark to become the ruler of Westeros, Sansa Stark, once again declared Northern Independence and was crowned the first Queen in the North.... Or at least that’s what the show says lol
its so weird that all agree to the independence of the north... winterfell. WOuldnt now everyone want independence? Nonsense!
@@LilSmithUSAF
They were independent long before the targs came along
The entire series of GoT is like a rocket to Mars except when it almost entered the Mars atmosphere, it plummeted back towards Earth and crash mid air
Yep, exactly this.
Torrhen Stark, the king who knelt and lost his crown, knelt to Aegon to avoid bloodshed and to keep his people alive. He was the only king who surrendered without attacking Aegon despite the advice of his brother. In the end, the last Aegon (Jon Snow) knelt to a Stark King of the six Kingdoms with Winterfell as an independent Kingdom. The Targaryens came and conquered and caused havoc to Westeros just so he could build that Iron Throne with all their swords and rule them all. Of the seven kingdoms, only the Starks peacefully knelt. Every one else fought the Targaryens which clearly states that they were not welcome. In the books it is implied that the Citadel was against the Targaryens. They were unwelcome foreigners and tyrants in Westeros. A Targaryen and Stark (Jon) gave it back to the people for peace. A Targaryen gave back the Kingdoms to the family of the one who knelt to protect his people. I love that they defied what everyone expected of Jon or Daenerys sitting on the Iron Throne.
No struggle can ever justify tyranny. No silver hair and purple eyes and flowery speeches can ever justify tyranny. No interesting character arc can ever justify tyranny. Not even a dragon. No delusional tyrant who has charisma, beauty and dragons should ever destroy your judgment. Everyone is blinded by beauty, speeches, dragons and delusions of destiny. A tyrant is a tyrant no matter how interesting they are. History shows us exactly that. The character arcs of all tyrants in the past have all been a poetic rise from struggle to power. They made a charming tyrant in the show.
It was amazing how a cripple with so much capacity and humility was raised to a king.
Aegon was literally on his knees. Azor Ahai, the prince that was promised killed his beloved as the prophecy goes not to rule but to save them all. Aegon's last true heir knelt to the heirs of Torrhen Stark.
A deep many thanks Game of Thrones, George R.R. Martin and to the producers D&D who brought it to life. ❤
Edit: For those who say Torrhen was not mentioned in the show. D&D did not forget to insert them in the show considering how little flashbacks they show.
To prove that they did mention Torrhen Stark in the show and not just in the books, he was mentioned in Seasons 1, 3, 6 and 7 in the episodes:
The Field of Fire
Robert's Rebelion
House Stark
The North
Northern Allegiances to House Stark
Invasion
House Stark, Kings of Winter
And he was clearly mentioned by everyone's beloved pretty tyrant queen Daenerys:
“I could have sworn I read the last King in the North was Torrhen Stark, who bent the knee to my ancestor Aegon Targaryen. In exchange for his life and the lives of the Northmen, Torrhen Stark swore fealty to House Targaryen in perpetuity.”
In the book, I clearly remember him in A World of Ice and Fire with the illustration below.
I love the message of the broken dynasty and the end of tyranny.
Again, my deep thanks Game of Thrones. Now back to real life. Enough geeking
Well said
Thid is very underrated comment.Thank you!
Tony Marselle two wrongs don’t make a right. She showed she was a tyrant when she killed the slavers

Ending was so bad even Drogon left the show
Bwahahhaa
It's actually a great last episode. Bran was manipulating characters to gain the throne. That's the reason for their strange behavior.
I disagree about Jon's ending. I thought it was clear that Jon was going north of the wall to start a new life with the free folk, Tormund & Ghost. Bran knew the only way to save Jon from Grey Worm & the unsullied, is to present going north as a punishment, a life sentence at the Black to them. Bran also knew what would happen after Jon got there. Jon was escorted there, and upon arrival, he saw the black was full of free folk, Tormund & Ghost waiting for him to lead them out to re-settle their old lands. As Jon rides out, he briefly turns and looks back as the gate closes. one final look at his old life, before continuing into the forest with the free folk to establish a new settlement. Several things are important to note here as well. There is no threat from white walkers or wildlings anymore. Castle Black was now unnecessary & essentially empty, except for the free folk who were clearly just waiting for Jon. When Jon first joined the Night Watch, he held them in high esteem, but quickly learned they were not the most honorable or decent people, and lost much respect for them over his time there. His disenchantment with them was part of why it was possible for him to break his vows with Ygritte while living with them, and why later, he had no problem renouncing the Night Watch and leaving to go retake Winterfell from the Boltons. Plus, I don't believe that Bran ever intended for Jon to actually serve at the Black, but simply used that to try and satisfy Grey Worm's need for justice, and get him free from the unsullied. Now that the unsullied have gone back home, do you honestly think King Bran or Queen Sansa would be anything but happy to know Jon has gone to make a life with the free folk north of the wall? Bran didn't have to lie, yet knew what would happen, and had probably already "seen" it happen as well. The bittersweet is Jon finally gets to be where he was the happiest he's ever been, to live out his days there beyond the wall, yet knowing it will take time to heal from the deep regret of having to kill the woman he loved, even though it was for the good of the realm.
Its Azor Ahai final part of the Prophecy.
He would plunge his sword into the Heart of who he loves. After the War with Night King, Azor Ahai disappears into the North never to be seen again.
jon does so much for House Stark and Bran and Sansa are scared to let him free because of the unsullied, this just pisses everyone off
Excellent
Thank you, everything you said is how I understood the ending as well. A Psychic as a KING, not a bad idea.
Yep. That's why I liked the idea of the ending. I love it. But not contented because of the delivery. Should have had more episodes.
There is a big winner: House Stark symbolized by Sansa and Bran.
And there is a big looser: House Targaryen symbolized by Daenerys Targaryen and Aegon Targaryen (Jon Snow) and Drogon the last dragon.
And there is a nothing: symbolized by No name (Arya Stark).
The biggest loser of all times is the character of Jon Snow. Even his death would have been more honourable.
He is there where he wants. He never played the game of thrones. He loved the north. He fell in live with a wildling. So that's what he wants, get back beyond the wall. What's the problem?
McGrey
He didn’t get back beyond the wall by his free choice. He was ass kicked at there.
@@majamaja5052 He was "send" to the Nightswatch, but where should he stay? In Kings Landing? I don't think so. In Winterfell? I mean, it's his home but Castle Black and the Wildlings really grown on him. Although he is a "Sand" he belongs to the North.

It felt rushed .................... so orignal
That's just the summary of the episode. What did you explain exactly?
This is my recap.
Winter was never about an actual season like fall or summer. It was a time for an upheaval to re-balance the power in the world. Its like a fire that destroys a forest, even though most of the trees, plants, and bushes have been destroyed they will regrow. Think of all the great houses that have been completely destroyed or have been severely crippled during the show: Tyrells, Lannisters, Starks, Baratheons, Tulleys, Freys, Targaryeans, Martells, Boltons etc. New houses and even some old ones will rise in power. A new seat of power will be chosen up until another winter is needed.
Winter never came. It is yet to come.
Great, I will add, extreme coldness(Ice/NK) and extreme hotness(Fire/Dany) are the real threat. They're both killed by Ice(Arya) and Fire(Jon).
Since Bran is the king, it will be a thousand years plus....before he leave. The last 3 eyed raven said he waited a 1000 years for Bran. The children of the forest was still alive until Bran screwed up with the night king. He acts like he will be controlling Drogon. So it looks like Bran will control the seat of power indefinitely.

He didn't become the king, he juat became a wildling like the rest.
KING I wish he is the king beyond the wall. But I guess not. He’s just one of them now coz he didn’t want a throne.
KING he is their protector of the freefolk
He is probably Mance Rayder part 2 or the next Mance Rayder, a deserted brother of the Night's watch which could pay respect to the "Mance is Rhaegar theory" as not rhaegar but his son becomes the king beyond the wall, which seemed kinda cool
i'm not satisfied with the end of John Snow. What should the new task of the night watch be? Holding back the wildlings again?
But there are no wildlings anymore
For me I saw the Bran thing coming. He was literally the best player of the game. Of course it helps when you can glimpse the future. However the fact that none of the other 6 leaders weren't more pissed about Sansa's declaration about the north kind of pissed me off. Had I been one of them I would have been like well if they don't have to bend the knee my people won't either.

fought wars to protect his people
convinced Danny.....then killed her
and finally didn't get anything but the place beyond the wall.
I don't think he wants more than that
Which is the place where he was happiest the most, so it's perfect for him
Jon told Tormund he wished he could go beyond the wall with him after the long night. I don't know why y'all are sad for Jon. He never played the game of thrones. Even while stabbing Dany he said you will always be my queen. If Jon is king that's not breaking the wheel, he might have been the best choice for now but when he dies what happens? Another war for the throne. The ending was certainly rushed, but you can see the best choice was eventually made. I honestly loved the finale and I think anything simple would not have been fit to end such a great show.
Exactly what a repeating betrayer deserves!
Rohan Shah Jon didn’t have what it takes to be a ruler. He knew it. Not understanding D’s pain and rage after her best friend got beheaded and being a grief-stricken mother after losing 2 of her dragons, shows that Jon wasn’t too smart either.
Jon Snow knows nothing... *shakes head*
.
The story would have been fine if they didn't rush it. Everything felt rushed this season like they were just taking stuff out of the way quickly.
yeah if this season was 10 episodes, i think that would be enough time to make a perfect end. episode 3-5 are way too fast paced and the reasoning for some decisions just isnt there.
Yeah, everything needs more time to happen and other things needed to be broken down and explained. We just got a bunch of empty actions, this season ruined GoT’s for me.. It was my all time fav show, it’s now dropped to number 2. (Simply because the first half or so of this series was way too awesome to ignore) It’s too bad that the petition to redo the entire season didn’t pass.
Exactly. It felt rushed and would have made a lot more sense if they could have taken the time to flesh out the things that many people feel didn't make sense. I am ok with the ending, it actually makes sense to me and ties things up. I just wish we'd had more time and story to get there.
@@heavenlymayday the last 2 seasons should have had the normal 10 episodes intead of just 7 and 6. They didn't give Dany proper development to become the Mad Queen, also they should have spent at least 2 episodes fighting the night king. The story they were trying to tell was a good one but how we got to the end was very sloppy, which is a shame.
they earned enough money and fucked its audiences at the end!
Bran finessed the whole thing.
Pretty disappointing you didn't pick up at the end how John Snow looked back on castle blacks gate's shutting as though it was for the last time, before setting off with the tribe.

"Unlike Martin's series, however, this book appears to be finished" LMAO
They made a mistake there stating that that book scene was a reference to GRRM's books... it's a JRR Tolkien reference...
Martin's book will surely have a better ending
Tyler Dunkleberger Martin is no plagiarizer
After Jon killed Dany Grey Worm should’ve came in and a 1 on 1 fight should have ensued. Drogon comes in stopping the fight right before GW kills Jon because he’s the last Targaryen. After Dro melts the thrown he flies away with Jon on his back.🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️
That would have been so dope
That's the one thing I thought was obviously going to happen in the final episode(Jon V GW)....damn... nope
Scott Wall Instead they wasted years of our lives with an empty last episode.
@@olusimp not completely empty. Yes there's a lot of loose ends and yes they didn't want the ending to be predictable. They were going for an original, no one saw it coming type of thing. And they did, they wrote the ending to ensure they could do spin offs and maybe close off some of the loose ends in series that will last another ten years......ok, you're right, they screwed us
After a couple days to process it, GOT on the whole was the best show
ever. The scale of production, storylines, acting, and attention to
detail were beyond comparison to anything else on TV or movies. While it
didn't have the perfect ending, I'm still a huge fan. I doubt any
squeals will be able to live up to the bar GOT has set.
Jon Suceeded Mance Rayner as the king beyond the wall. Jon is back to being king crow!!!!
More like king of the smelly homeless tramps in the snow lol 🤣

Are there typically commercials during the half time show? I could be wrong but I don't think there actually are... so... if there was one ad, you'd still be correct.
adguard dont watch through app but browser
I got none XD
WOOOOW ...THANKS for that EXPLANATION!!! you see i am mentally challenged and i just couldnt comprihand what the f is happening ... like i see a little man moveing their legs, but you explain its tirion walkin!!! THANK YOU!!! you are so usefull! what would i do without this video!?!?!!
Everybody is complaining about the ending, but to be honest I loved it. It shows reality and how anyone can become mad for power. Humans will always fall to our weaknesses. It’s long been said the breaker of chains blood runs with insanity because she’s a product of incest. So I don’t understand why everyone was so mad when she “flipped”. Since the beginning she’s been mad for the iron throne. She was just like her brother and father, in a different way.
Moral - Don't be good, honest, kindhearted person, you'll get nothing for these qualities...
Jond never wanted it!!
Look where it got Ned Stark
Sayantan Chakraborty somebody missed the point .
BRANDON STARK DEMONSTRATED THESE QUALITIES AND HE BECOME THE FIRST OF THE STARK DYNASTY TO BECOME THE KING OF WESTEROES .
HE WAS THE PEARL THAT WAS HIDDEN IN PLAIN SIGHT IN THE DEEP OCEAN BED.
@@islamislam-zw3il Bran not is Bran Stark. Bran is only host else one...Three-Eyed Crow a mysterious figure living beyond the Wall.
Bran Stark is dead.
Sayantan Chakraborty another dumb post from a dumb viewer
If you’ve been actually watching the show ,you’d know that Jon never wanted the throne and belonged in the north
Basically what I learnt is that Drogon is smarter than any of them.
Fighting over iron throne?
That killed her brothers and mother will then. Imma melt it down.
it was stated a couple seasons ago dragons r intelligent beings
Bran took over drogon to save Jon and melt the throne so no one else had to die over it
That's what I got.. From it. And now. Obviously when when brna wargs you can see it in the eyes. Drogon knew that it was danys obsessions with the throne that got her killed. Sure Jon may have stabbed her. But the throne was the reason for it all
Or the dragon was an idiot, and thought a knife and the iron throne are both pointy things.
Stop justifying bad writing. most everything happened in the last two seasons because the plot writers demanded it happened. Not because the characters were acting in character.
Controlled beasts change eye color. Bran wasn't shown.
Hyper intelligent dragons were never established in the show.
It happened only because the writers thought it would look cool and poetic. That is the only reason.
One thing I could say it was missing, was "more green" at 11:08, when Jon rides into the woods of the North. (The TRUE north, as Tormund says.)
I genuinely don’t know why people thought the show went to shit. To be honest, this is one of the most, if not THE most realistic ending given the circumstances
Exactly! I think Hollywood pumped unrealistic endings to maintain the disconnect to actual storylines! If ppl want disney movie outcomes they should stick to disney.
are we really looking for things to be that real watching something like this
@@emlo9103 Yes we are. This is high art. This is the stuff that gets remembered and outlives fan service pabulum.

I think many fans would agree a spin off series that centers on Arya's adventures would be amazing, naturally Maisie WIlliams would return to the role :)
Bran King of Westeros
Aria, Queen of Wester Westeros
Sansa, Queen of the North
Jon Targaryen Snow Crow or whatever, king of the Norther North.....
Love this
I love sansa
Thought tyrion was guna stab dany in the back like jamie did for the mad king.
Thought drogon was guna blast jon but he would be immune to dragon fire and then all hail him as king
Jon's not immune to fire, he burns his hand in season/book 1 saving jeor Mormont from a wight
frankyDawg K that would have been a great development! The dragon would turn on Jon, but then Jon comes out of fire and finally he's a man, and not a milksop he has been for the past 2 seasons.
@@alexglentworth811 "He was no dragon. De lämp cannot burn a dragon."
They literally already demonstrated that Jon can definitely be burned back in season 1.
Helena B true... but hey the man was brought back to life by the lord of light aka the dude that makes all that fire 🔥 happen so whos to say jons not immune to fire now??
Tyrion finding his brother and sister dead broke my heart. Epitome of complicated sibling relationships. 😢
It was a bad scene. Tyrion should have found them killed by Arya or not have found them at all. But the stones landed precisely on their heads, not next to them. They died a stupid death, not a tragic one. I didn't mourn for any of the characters in season 8. I mourned for the show that was betrayed by it's writers.
I liked it. It made George R.R. Martin's point: in the game of thrones-- and politics-- there are no real winners, just a never-ending cycle of fluctuating wins and losses. Bran didn't "win" because he doesn't really care. Dani won many battles and lost her soul to the belief she could destroy people in order to save them. Jon won the war against death with the help of Arya and had to kill his love and sacrifice himself in order to save the 7 kingdoms. Sansa won her kingdom in the North, but has suffered enough to know that her achievement may last her lifetime but will prove temporary in the eye of history.
All Cercie and Jamie had to do was move over to the right and they would have survived.
