  • Many people go to Colorado Bend SP to see Gorman Falls, but the Spicewood Canyon/Spicewood Springs should be the first trail you hike when visiting this park. This is truly a magical place nestled in a narrow canyon with multiple cascades along a clear water stream.

There's a snake in the middle of the frame. Its head barely sticks up out of the water.

I haven't been to this park yet but it's coming up on my list and by the end of the year I should be there. I know Gorman Falls is the main attraction, but as a whole this just seems like the best overall trail imo.
I'm guessing I'm picking a bad time though because would you say the best time to see the falls is during the rains of late spring/early summer? I know winter is pretty dry around here

Best time would be after having multiple rain events over a short period
