Lek talks often about rescue animals and PTSD but I'm sure she carries her fair share herself. I was faced with elephant clip that popped up on my Facebook feed. I'll NEVER forget it. An enormous elephant was secretly being filmed as 2 men caned the animal whilst legs were chained to ground. The sight was shocking I closed my eyes to try scroll on and away but the sound of video clip continued. I've never heard noise like it. It was beyond any noise I'd ever heard any animal make. Thankfully as time passes the memory fades. It tormented me for weeks. I can't deal with material on animal abuse. It really impacts me. Considering Thailand portrays to the world the elephant is a symbol of their lovely country - why on earth doesn't authorities wipe out elephant ownership and mainly any form of abuse. If it's about money then start helping these sanctuaries where people can get in, stay even, and experience elephants as natural as possible. They could encourage it. The world will listen. Even the most apathetic tourist is surely gonna pay to stay and experience a herd of elephants being elephants rather than a 10 minute uncomfortable ride on an elephant who, when they check photos later they can see the wounds and scarring they didn't notice in person. It baffles me BECAUSE even the greedy human being with elephants could make good money providing good home and health for their animals and attract tourists who want to experience positives. It's a win win surely? Elephant fed, cared for and with herds whilst greedy owner make profits. But profit would come from the link to the product - the healthy happy animal! Thailand has a King - I'm sure he's held in high regard. Imagine him saying "enough now - the world are watching" - Every news channel would air it! These 2 videos with Lek are amazing. Never dreamt that's how she became the Lady she is today. I can imagine the grandfather stories but never dreamt she did so much alone and against everyone for animals. Losing even her family in battle for just trying to do good. Had to chuckle at the accusation Lek had from enemies' gossip that she was a, what we call, a lady of the night 😂. I knew her story was likely one of hardship but not in the ways covered here. Fabulous interview. I love to hear Lek speak on Eleflix etc. Learn something new all the time. But this felt very different. After watching, I've only got even more appreciation and GREATER RESPECT for her, and her work. "Lek meaning small" - so good things can and do come in small packages after all!

I love elephants ❤ 🐘🐘🐘the way they talk to one another, heal one another with their compassion. Listening to them it’s like listening to how the Whale’s sounds as they speak to one another.🐘🐋
I believe they too are empaths as well, here to teach humanity on how to care for one another. Sadly most of humanity is blind, and are missing the true meaning of life.
But Your channel is awakening many people to what has been missing in our world; Empathy. ❤
