I love Jimmy's method of teaching! Showing and telling over and over is a process of training the mind!!

This video is 6 years old, taken with an analog camera, and the internet was quite different then.

What grace he has! what a sustained edge! He can do anything effortlessly - belied by his casual manner, yet he makes it so simple, and so clear. No wonder people flock to his courses. who is he? who was he? a marvel. love to watch these! in NYC.

Peter Negan Why chairs ? Being on the ice and feeling the ice behind the blades is always a pleasure for a figure skater

just pointing out that the old coach is skating the pants off the students, they are like pylons. Usually what I see at the rinks are the opposite. A coach sitting on the bench screaming instructions to the skater on the ice skating.

my tips for you if u want to do 3 turns and twizzles, is to train off ice first. Because you can train many hours off ice to find your balance while rotating in socks, but you can only be on the ice for like 1 hour before the zamboni chase you away. And you won't fall by practising 3 turns on the floor. Nothing is more frustrating when someone shows you how to do a 3-turn but you keep losing your balance and get your edges stuck in the ice and fall. So, practise the balance part first off ice, and then it will be much easier on ice.
