Hey brother, in our old house the woodstove is downstairs, but there’s a steel grate in the floor that lets the heat come up into the second floor through that steel grate. I think that would be an awesome idea for you to let more heat upstairs. You could buy a carpet and put over it when you don’t have the stove on to keep cold air from coming up. But 100% you should put a grate in that floor to let heat come upstairs.
I don't have it as tough as Will, but during the winter I've lived in this type of cold for it'll be 20 years this coming year makes you a different type of person when you can survive that cold man

I’m living off grid in a 10x17 wall tent across the border in Kentucky. I’ve found that running my kerosene heater on low will last from dusk until dawn and then some and it keeps my batteries warm enough to charge. I run it all night so I don’t have to keep waking up to feed the wood stove. Keeping those Jackery units above freezing will help them last a lot longer too. If you run across a kerosene heater at a thrift store, pawnshop or flea market for a good price you should consider adding it to your arsenal of heating devices. They are calling for the coldest January in years so being able to supplement that little wood burner with some good humid heat will make life a bit closer to comfortable. Stay safe over there.

Chickens put out a lot of moisture, if you wrap plastic around them, with no ventilation, they can get ammonia. As long as the birds can get out of the wind, they are ok

I live off grid. Pick yourself up a set of snow chains for your Yote👍 Two sets if you can afford it. Chains front and back, your going places 👍 im in three feet of snow and can punch through and go pretty much anywhere with a set of chains front and back👍
Put a small piece of copper in your chickens water to help keep the algae down it ain’t going to stop it from freezing but it’ll hold back the algae from growing you can put the water on a heat pad or just get warmer from your local tractor supply
We packed old tires with either Styrofoam or straw/newspapers and put the waters in them. Insulated from the cold and if kept in the coop, away from the wind. Haven't had 1 freeze other then a skim of ice on top. Live in Michigan so we do see a little bit of cold. Keep lights on in the coop for 16 hours of daylight for the girls and get eggs year round.
We have some pretty frigid weather up here in Ontario atm with lots of snow, looks like the pups are loving the snow there. Maybe you could build some type of insulated box around your solar batteries to keep them a bit warmer. Also i seen it mentioned in the comments about a steel grate in the floor. I also suggest you do that too but as long as your top part is insulated. If so it will keep that upstairs nice and toasty, just remember, heat rises, keep up the good work buddy!
Should make an insulated box, maybe a heating pad, to keep the batteries at a reasonable temperature. maybe somewhere on the side or above the fire at waist/chest height.

It's also cool for you to see what needs to be fixed up around there in any given situation.
