The 60's and the 90's were Vegas' heyday. Now it is all overpriced corporate greed with no comps, expensive hotels, and casinos that don't pay winners.
I met my 3rd and 4th wives there. I don’t share many good thoughts about it.
Yikes, maybe marriage ain't for you
@@AnotherAnotherJosh I’m on #8. Things are going much better. I met her at the Golden Gate…
@@thereissomecoolstuffthey should call you ask ketchum "gotta catch em all"
@@thereissomecoolstuff damn i didn't think it was legal to get married that many times 😂 thought 6 was the limit
@@patronofthearts23 no limits man. After the first 4 it was easy.
I use to pop in there for a drink from time to time in the late 90s early 2000s I forgot about that place, thanks for jogging the old memories Jacob! Good times!
Interesting history! Thanks!🔸️Shame that it's gone. There ARE still cool, cheap, little dive bars with pool tables in Vegas, but probably nothing with a location as convenient for tourists.
Which ones are good?
@@benn35 I asked my local friend (and Uber driver) about decent, cheap, straight dive bars with pool tables. He immediately came up with THE RED DWARF and THE DIVE BAR (dump by day, live punk/hardcore music at night?). Last week, while I was visiting, he and I spent a great couple of hours hanging at QUADZ. Three pool tables ($1/game), current and oldies videos playing (which we frequently overrode with the jukebox), great bartender, video poker/games at the bar, wine was $3.25/glass (happy hour, and it was 1pm), one or two other patrons in the place during our visit. While we were there you wouldn't have known it's a gay bar -- except for the very rainbow decor.
Even the Name Sounds good
We used to love that place! Great pool table!
The south end of the strip will come back as more sports team come to Vegas! People need that small town feel!
Cool shot with the abandoned wheel behind it too.
Used to drink there many years ago when I lived next door at the Desert Oasis. Lots of fun, reasonably loose video poker. Good times.
Land is probably waaaaay too valuable for anything other than a big restaurant or hotel or shopping mall
What happens to Bar Rescue? He lives out there
What caused them to go out of business?
You would think that a bar across from a casino might be a decent place to keep open.
I remember that place.
Sad . . . Hope it's reborn ! 🧐 🇺🇲
a "strip bar" has a somewhat different meaning away from Vegas
I live in Vegas and I had to read the title twice before I knew he was talking about "The" Strip
I had to read it a few times too
👋👍Jacob
I created Wikipedia entry for this bar but the admin dogs poo-pooed my effort and promptly deleted it
They use to have a tank with live lobsters in that bar. 😂🦞
