  • This video shows how a WMF pressure cooker is used, and how the main and safety valves work, how they sound and look alike. Because this is a binaural recording, it is recommended to use good headphones, when listening to this educational video.
    Warning: Please carefully read the operating manual and all the instructions before using any pressure cooker.
    Do not allow anyone to use a pressure cooker unless they have first read the operating manual.

    Last week, I also bought this WMF Perfect cooker. It is important to always put a little vaseline on the rubber seal and unto the pot edge. A few times it happened that a little water was dripping out but when adding vaseline it didn't happen.

    Thank you so much, I finally get to know the function of the sliding knob to control the pressure with the heat source staying on for longer time of cooking according to the cooking manual.
    Now I can cook up some double boiled supplements liquid.

    Greetings, I have the same product, very beautiful, but unfortunately I lost the entire handle, followed by the cover and the skin. Please advise me where to get them and what their price is, including shipping to Jordan...... Greetings.

    thanks a lot, now I know my valve is broken and I am going to replace it, I read in amazon that the old valves were better than the new ones, many of the new ones are faulty. I hope I have better luck with another valve. I read the instruction before using the manual, but they are not very clear and it was very hard to find in youtube a video that could explain how this pot works. Reading the questions in Amazon I am not the only one that find this confusing. Thank you again!

    Hi thank you for your video. My "PERFECT" Pressure cooker now has the problem of liquid dripping out of the cover.. I am guessing it might be the seal but i have inspected the seal ring and don't see visible signs of damage. Have used this pot quite a few times so do you recommend replacing the seal anyway? Thank you

      does the material feel stiff and hard? then it maybe time for a new seal.

    9:27 Yes, there is a great deal of power in a boiler. Eventually, this knowledge led to the invention of the steam locomotive. With a total mass of 548.3 t and a maximum continuous output of 6290 hp on the hitch (at 48 km/h), the Series 4000 machines are among the heaviest and most powerful steam locomotives ever built and with a maximum permissible speed of 110 km/h (70 mph) also among the fastest

    That ball bearing is a safety device, if the heat is too high and the pressure increases… that rubber/ball bearing gadget will be the first to go in order to save the integrity of the pot.
    And yeah if it’s dirty it won’t close, also if the ball is pushed deep inside the grommet (near the three wholes on the outside) it can be dangerous.
    Price to pay for more energy efficiency… heat must be applied very high so the vapor inside increase pressure rapidly and the ball bearing closes.

    Thank you! I was hoping you would say what to do when the pressure cooker reaches the second ring if you actually have food inside to cook. From my awkward experimenting, I remove the cooker from the hot hob (or electricity burner) and turn the heat down on that hob to, say, #3 (on my stove) and then return the pot to that lowered heat and see if the #3 heat setting is sufficient to keep the second ring up (which is often the pressure I need to cook ancient grains and/or beans). If the ring goes down a little, then I turn the heat up just a tiny bit until it settles and stays with two rings showing. From what I understand, the cooking time begins ONLY when the required ring is visible for the type of food you are cooking, so for soaked black beans, for example, would be 22 minutes. Any comments from experience MWF users would be appreciated.

      you are correct, the cooking time counts when you see the ring. To keep the ring there, you need to adjust your heat as you describe.

    • @lenny108
      @lenny108 2 года назад

      Is it required to have the second ring come up or is it sufficient to just have ring one? For example potatoes, when I have ring one coming up and remove the pot from the stove, how long does it take until whole potatoes are done?

    Hi, I have an older WMF called Super 3 , it doesn’t have the safety valve, this worries me a bit. It has 4 settings , 0,1,2,3. I have no idea how to use it. I got it secondhand. I’d love to use it but there’s not many you tube videos on my kind

    • @mygiguser
      @mygiguser  2 года назад

      It must have a safety valve, because without it it would be dangerous to use.

    • @Noniinthebush
      @Noniinthebush 2 года назад

      @@mygiguser thank you for the reply. On the handle it has the valve that pops up but it doesn’t have anything else, that’s the only thing on it. Some lids have a valve like yours on the lid opposite the handle but mine doesn’t have this, it only has the pop up one on the handle. There’s no hole or anything it was made this way. It’s called super 3. Cheers Non

    I have steam coming out around the circle with rings. What could be the issue?

  • @infantesb

    Why does it makes that awful noise when starts boiling that it seems an old steam train? Is it normal? Is it a matter of the steam rubber? Thank you so much

    • @Trenscendent
      @Trenscendent 3 года назад +1

      The noise it intentional to alert you that it is getting too hot either because it ran out of water or the element is set too high.

    • @ant-tr8lz

      Same principle to a steam train, and same purpose. The pot make awful noise to drag your attention and ask for your immidiate action.

    At what pressure does the safety valve initiate?

  • @evolve101
    @evolve101 6 лет назад

    I know how it works. But i have never done a water test. I should try it sometimes actually.. See if my safety valve even works..
    I usually get pressure from the small valve..
