Wow commercial grade. Space is everything. Not many of us have that kind of square footage to work with. Well done. Keep em coming Michael.
That is something i enjoy with this tour is that not just the hometheater and products use,but also the welcoming and personality on the people that enjoy them...im glad to be part of it all ...happy to see this thks to all of them...youthman thank you.great videos....
dude you're killing it. love seeing all of these random home theater setup's!
What a beautiful house and awesome basement home theater. Love his selection of speakers just everything is so nice.
If you end up doing one of these in and around Nashville let me know. Compared to many my setup is low dollar but I'm a former pro installer so its a good install
Thanks BM. Feel free to submit yours on my website www.hometheatertours.com. I might be visiting a friend in Tennessee. I’ll have to see how close he is to you
Actually I appreciate you doing the tour, just like hstudio 3.0 did the same which both of you are great.
Not sure if you are able, but in the future, I would love to see some wider angle slow pans around the rooms from different angles. It’s hard to get a sense of scale from the normal shot you take. Also a diagram or graphic of the room with where the speakers are would add much to these videos. Other than that, this has been the best content you have produced. Well done!
Beautiful home.
The up lighting is a great touch .. could use some better speakers tho =)
Love the DIY theme in all these spaces .. Fantastic.
Hi from Panamá 🇵🇦 Rep. is verry nice
I have dual PB 4000s. Thinking of upgrading them to PB 16 ultras, or RS1s. What would I get if I upgraded to the 16 ultras? Went to a retailer to demo a 16 ultra, but the room was much larger than mine, so it wasn’t a fair assessment. What would I get if I upgraded to the RS1s? Living room is 18 x 25 x 10.
There will be a much bigger difference going from PB4000 to RS1 thank PB4000 to PB16. RS1’s extend down to single digits. PB16 is good down to around 17Hz
I know this is an older video. But I have a jtr captivator rs1 coming tomorrow. How do you believe it will compare to my one svs pb16 ultra? Thanks!
JTR is in a different league. I’ll let you be the judge. 😉 My RS2’s are flat down to 5Hz in my room. The RS1’s will have the same lower end extension with 3dB less output. Let me know how you like it.
@@Youthman today is going to be the longest day of my life. Haha. I’ll be updating you as soon as I get it in place and try it out. Thank you for the rapid response. Eventually I want to run 4 of them. One step at a time!
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
@@Youthman We have an update. The delivery was delayed until today. My first thoughts when compared to the pb16 ultra is that when I got that speaker it did not play very loud. I feared it was defective. It wasn’t until I played it consistently over a few weeks that it started to open up once it was broken in. I assume this speaker like all other subs I’ve had will do the same as it breaks in. It’s already noticeably louder on day one than the pb16 ultra. And the lower frequencies are absolutely noticeable. I feel like it’s opened up a bit since only approximately 5 hours ago when I got it set up. Beside the performance it’s just an imposing looking speaker. So far I’m very impressed. With that being said, properly positioning this speaker won’t be my strong point, I have a ranch home with a wide open basement, that I have full of my seating, speakers, component rack, and anime and video game statues and paraphernalia. So my placement options are limited. Hopefully I’m not losing much if anything with positioning. If I misspelled anything it’s likely due to the vertigo caused by all the bass 😂
Where can I buy this screen?
Hey buddy, what sub cables do you use for your JTR subs?
XLR
Running Paradigm Studio V4s and CC690. Can't find anything that compares unless I want to spend 15k. So hard pass on that!
Watching all these tours and other theater demo vids something strange I've noticed is that alot of people take or have their shoes off. Might be a normal thing to do but its crazy that I've been to alot of peoples homes over the years and they all kept their shoes on and didn't request that the shoes must come off. I get the purpose is to keep dirt from messing up carpet but in the rare chance I drug something in I've never ruined any carpet past the point that a quick vacuum job couldn't get clean. Like are all you guys and gals walking through dog poo and knee deep mud every time before walking into your homes... lol.
I wear shoes all the time in my home but when I visit my son’s home, he asks that guests remove their shoes.
Looking at the carpet in mu theater room, I wish I had implemented the no shoes rule.
@@Youthman looking at my carpet in my entire house I wish we had did a better job potty training our dog... The plan is to go with hardwood flooring in most of the house, which includes the livingroom/home theater. I know that's not ideal but any got recommendations for a theater in a room with hardwood floors?
Yeah having hardwood in a theater room probably isn’t the best option. We now have hardwood and ceramic tile throughout the house except for the theater room in the master bedroom. But we plan on replacing the flooring in the master bedroom with hardwood. The theater will always have carpet. It would make my room way too boomy. If you do choose to put hardwood in your theater, I would highly recommend putting down a thick rug
@@Youthman that's what I was thinking.
I'd like to see products the average person would buy, denon, Marantz, klipsch, dev tech, in all honesty 99.9% of people will not spend nor hear differences between these zillion dollar set ups and a big box set up
Yeah I believe Steve said he has around $30,000 in his entire setup (which is ridiculously inexpensive for a room and system this size.)
There is certainly a noticeable difference up to a certain price range ($5,000-$10,000 total?) beyond which gains typically get smaller. Unless you buy a lot of enormous subs lol
🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊
Yes. Yes they will absolutely hear a difference. The law of diminishing returns comes into effect at around 25k in Amps and transducers. The REAL differences is in room acoustic treatments and projector tech.
No.
Yah, I have about $30,000 in my theater room and it’s really nice. I’m not rich so buying a $10,000+ projector isn’t in my budget.
You sound so old mr “youth “. “Can’t believe so many people aren’t using discs like we did back in my day. Stop thinking, just do it. So very much worth it
The main reason I haven’t gone to digital is I do not have a massive Blu-ray and 4K collection.
@@Youthman the size of the collection is irrelevant if every time you go into the theater you put a disk in the tray. Tell the Mrs it's smart to back up y'all's computers to a Nas, then use the same Nas to run Plex. Up and running "cheaply"
Baby steps
