In the late 80's, I bought a spiral-bound Galactica guide. I was young and I thought it was official. But there were pages showing the pistols and communicators and stuff, and they could have been drawn by me. I still liked the book since it was Galactica-related. I ended up throwing it out later on. Wish I still had it.
I think that there is more to the story on why Galactica was canceled. Universal made a ton of money off of the movies released overseas. Someday we may find out the real truth!
@@battlestarcollectica7106 I could be mistaken but I thought I had heard and read that the Show was incredibly expensive to make. I'm just not sure about the exact $$$ but I can recall hearing these stories. Maybe since it cost so much to get an episode on TV the Network was under pressure to get big ratings out of the Gate? Also, maybe I'm wrong but when the original episode or maybe even mini-series did air, was it not interrupted with breaking News about maybe The Camp David Accords? Sorry to be hazy, this was a LONG time ago.
I recently purchased the BSG blueprints. I did not realize they existed. I really love them. I love to collect all the paper classic BSG collectibles I can find.
Those official blueprint sets seemed to be a thing at the time. Besides BSG, there were similar sets released for STAR TREK TOS, STAR WARS, SUPERMAN '78 and STAR TREK -- THE MOTION PICTURE.

I think I may have the same book (or something just like it) in storage. I’ll try to find it and will do a video on it. Thanks for the tip!
Launch when ready
Lol! Thanks for watching!
Just found my set that I bought when the show was on the air. Guess it's time to sell!
Great set! I can still remember seeing them at my local book store as a kid! Thanks for watching!
Pretty cool! I always liked The Colonial Viper and wish ABC stuck with the Series longer than they did.

The Galactica blueprints are in the same style as the Star Wars blueprints.
Yes, there seemed to be a bunch all issues around the same time.

I've seen the Star Trek sets but never Superman! That sounds cool!
