Just a couple of hours away from us in a beautiful part of the country. We’ve been to Nashville, Indiana and Brown County before, and now we have a reason to go back. ❤
I am so happy for Hard Truth’s success. Their distillery is great and the whiskies are very good. Fun Fact: When I was a kid, my Dad was principal of the high school just down the road from Hard Truth.
There is a distillery called Bear Wallow near Hard Truth. You can only buy their whiskey at the distillery. Next time I go to Nashville Indiana I’m going to try it.
Have been a Hard Truth fan since the beginning! Really enjoy all their products but I love that Masters Reserve Chocolate Malt! Have done several tours and been lucky to have great tour guides! The restaurant also has excellent food and entertainment during the summer on the outdoor pavilion! Haven’t been there in over a year I need to get back and taste some of their new stuff! The only problem is I leave with a lot of whiskey and empty pockets lol!
I live 20 minutes from Hard Truth and love it there! Too bad the restaurant wasn't open as the food is great. For an affordable bottle from Hard Truth, I always reach for their High Road Rye. Their bourbons are still a little young for my taste, but they will get there!
Hard Truth distillery and whiskey are awesome! Just picked up a SiB BiB Hard Truth High Road Rye store pick from Holiday Liquors in Cedar Lake and it’s great. Cheers
I went to law school just up the road from there before that was built. I’ve been by and I even have $100 gift card just waiting to be used but still haven’t stopped by!
Now I know which bottle to try first! Might wait until the restaurant is open again and arctic finally leaves us alone; I’ve heard the grounds are nice to explore. 🚫 ⛄️
I think my main list now is Holladay (doable soon…5-ish hours north), Green River, New Riff, and….Hard Truth. That latter trio is gonna be a weird one to shoe-in to my next trip east. The same thing happened to me when I happened to be in Fort Worth on a random weekday and went by the empty TX bar…I ended up puttering around with the head distiller for 45 minutes. Y’all’s pal Josh (of Josh and Erin) turned me on to the HT Chocolate Malt Sweet Mash Rye, which led to the Caramel. I have three of the picks, the regular new bourbon and a new DO…which I to open up a bit for the full HT/Peerless/Pursuit throwdown.
I'm fortunate enough to live about 30 minutes away. Never had anything from them I didn't like. If I was told I had to pick one distillery and drink only their products it would be hard for me to pick one over Hard Truth.

Was just down at Hard Truth in October for their In the Barrel tour was so cool and fun!

You gotta use that gift card! This is such a fun place to visit.

I keep seeing videos featuring Hard Truth, but I haven't tried any yet.
You're overdue, sir.

Sounds delicious, is this distillery only release? I hope I get to visit Hard Truth soon.
Supposedly it’s on shelves, but we never came across it. Only 3 barrels in the batch, so definitely not much to go around.
Hope you went to the Bear Wallow Distillery in Knaw Bone...It's small but I like their barrel proof bourbon BETTER than Hard Truth!
Unfortunately, we only had time for one distillery. Next time!

I grew up near Brown County - still love that area. Hard Truth is amazing. Have you tried Bear Wallow? They’re just across 46 from Hard Truth. Cheers
@ I have not. I will give it a try.
