Beautifully explained in detail. We also need to wait for 1 or 2mins and need to chant AUM before we start eating. The reason is: For example when we see pickle or our favorite dish, there will be an increase in the production of saliva. And the movement of the fingers while mixing the food helps digestive organs starts preparing to produce other digestive juices. To chant AUM before eating is to add some divinity into food. But most of us are not aware of these practices so in Bharath culture the food we eat is prepared in such a way that it takes some time before it gets into the mouth. Ex- making the roti or chapathi into pieces and then mixing it with Sabji, Mixing rice with sambar, rasam or others, Making small piece of ragi ball and then mixing it sambar. Ancient science hidden in our culture. 🙏
It's 100% true... recently felt that I am not satisfied with the life and food... with the grace i realised that I am using Spoon for lunch box which is started due to COVID ... Shifted to eating with hands and feeling good... 🙏

When outside, like with friends or in function I eat with spoon, but at home I eat with hands 😅 I remember when I was little and went to school, kids teasing me that I didn't know how to pick a spoon and that day I went home and learnt how to use spoon 🤣
Beautifullly explained by the most Beautiful. God Bless You always for sharing such meaningful details that can actually help people understand the importance of eating with hand 🙏
Couple of years ago I've seen a doctor saying on N TV Telugu, he said some norwegian scientist, also a noble laureate proved that "digestion starts at the tip of finger tips. Certain beneficial bacteria at the fingertips helps digestion". I forgot the scientist's name. The Scandinavian names are a bit difficult to remember.
I have been eating rice with my right hand, always, to have the best of taste and aroma. In fact, we Indians always hurry to follow the West because we have never bothered to study and follow our traditions -- "Dadi-Nani ke nuske." NOWADAYS WHO WANTS TO FOLLOW THE ESSENTIALS TOLD BY PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS ?
Ive always eaten foods with mostly with my hands the only dishes i use utensils even traditional dishes ill load up a piece of turkey with mashed potatoes and eat it with my hands...
Content is too good and shows what culure we indians inherit . Just one suggestion , while explaining agni, wayu , akash you pronounce it Jala , which is wrong . Its Jal . जला has different meaning than जल. Like they say योगा actual its योग. Why should we change pronouncing in english. isn´t it ?
