What you are pointing out is from the perspective from Advaita vedanta. What he is referring to is from the philosophy of Kashmiri Shaivism. Kindly refer to the books on Kashimiri Shaivism and books written by Lakshman Joo maharaj. Even though Advaita vedanta and Kashmiri shavisim sounds similar, they are different in practice. @@Midhooooon Thank you for the response. Many scholars tell me that Vedanta is the ultimate text in the Hindu philosophy. If they are right, his version of Brahman is wrong. The original definition of the Brahman is that it is everything (eternal truth that has no second), it is everything and everything else is an illusion of the Brahman. Therefore, there cannot be anything embedded within the Brahman that at one point pushes the Brahman out to make it Shiva. The scholars I spoke to say that those who worship Shiva may consider or call the Brahman.... Shiva for their own satisfaction. Those who worship Shakti may call the Brahman.... Shakti for their own satisfactions. But they are still the concept of the mind which is maya. Beyond the mind (illusion), there is only the Brahman (ultimate truth, which is pure Consciousness). This Brahman is without any attributes (like, destroyer, powerful, angry, loving, etc). Shiva, Shakti, Vishnu etc are all Gods with human attributes because they are concepts of the human mind. These Gods get angry when we make mistakes (LOL). These Gods like us to worship them with flowers, milk, honey and yogurt (LOL). I see many swamis and babas doing the same these days. Finally, my point is that it is a disservice to the amazing Upanishads (Vedanta) when someone twists, distorts and destroys the meaning of something so central to the Vedanta teachings. ❤

@@texastexas4541 I see your point. Actually if you delve more into Kashmir Shaivism it’s not like typical Shaivism. As Dr. Ramanand righty pointed out in this video, the name is derived from Western sources since they don’t want to mix it with Other schools of Shaivism. Also I understand your context where Vaishnavites calling Vishnu Brahman and other sects doing the same. But I assure you, after studying the basics of Kashmiri Shaivism, I realised that it is indeed a disservice to call it shaivism. “Kashimiri “ because it originated in Kashmir and Shaivism because Abhinavagupta rightfully uses Shiva and Shakti as concepts in Tantra to explain this philosophy. The Shiva and Shakti you see in this philosophy is not really the calendar figures we see 😅 who gets angry or sad. They are used as principles. In comparison to Advaita, In advaita it is said There is Brahman and Maya. But In kashmiri shaivism it is said that the moment you said Brahman and Maya, you create 2 subjects even if you say Maya is just illusion but in Kashmiri Shaivism there is no other, everything is Shiva (again not the Shiva God we imagine). Ramji calls it rightfully the “Trika” philosophy. Hope you could read more on this topic because it will actually enhance your view on Advaita. Also Dr Ramanand is a leading expert in Tantra in India and he helped in the establishment of an institute which teaches tantra and holds a PhD from JNU on this subject. He is indeed an expert in these matters. He does not belong to any sects 😅 He is from Kerala, where Sankara Vedanta is strongly practiced. Sorry for the elaborate text 😂 Thanks for reading ❤️✨

@@Midhooooon There is only Brahman in A Vedanta. Ego (false knowledge) makes you believe that there is something other than Brahman.. According to the A Vedanta, there is only the Brahman (pure consciousness) which does not have any attributes.. This guru (Ramji) in this this video says there is something called Shakti embedded in Brahman and this Shakti pushes consciousness out in the form of Shiva. I am just repeating what he said in the video. That is seriously wrong in many ways. You cannot embed an extraneous entity in something that is infinite and non dual. I agree with you that Shiva could be seen as Brahman, but one should not give attributes to the ultimate truth because it is pure consciousness. If Kashmiri Shaivism tries to separate itself from the Advaita Vedanta by calling Shiva as Brahman, that amounts to plagiarism (LOL). I am not sure if that is what they are trying to do. I appreciate your effort to explain what Ramji is saying. I will read more on the Trika philosophy.
