      @@tylergarrison9230 yes exactly what we mean...the coolant/water flows through the engine, then out of the thermostat, then to heater core/radiator etc. he has it as engine, then radiator, then thermostat. i wouldnt be surprised if the water pumps are fighting against themselves as well with how he has it set up..the thermostat keeps the engine itself as a closed loop to quickly get coolant to temp...if the water sees the radiator before the thermostat as he has it now, the ENTIRE cooling system would need to get to temp for the thermostat to open, not just the loop contained in the engine..thus never actually having a proper cooling loop.

    I've learned a few things about thermostats while working on my Camaro. You should never use a lower temp thermostat than the operating temp of your motor. It's a common thing in the muscle car world, but it does nothing. The thermostat opening sooner does not make a car run cooler or help with overheating issues. A 160-degree thermostat in a 190-degree engine will also lock up and not open anymore. The other thing is that you shouldn't run the car without a thermostat since a thermostat creates a restriction in the cooling system and allows it to build pressure. Either run the proper temp thermostat for the engine or lock open a bad thermostat.

    • @jv6miata
      @jv6miata 4 года назад

      The problem is where the thermostat is it will never read the same temp the ECU is reading from the sensor. So he needs to relocate it closer to the sensor.

    • @rafee9442
      @rafee9442 4 года назад +2

      also the thermostat is useless on the cold side, he needs to relocate it to before it reaches the intercooler (or i hope i'm right, might be speaking out of my ass on this one :p)

    My brother, I have a rear radiator car I’ve been through these shitty problems. Mine is an ls burnout car so I opted to just drill a bunch of holes in the thermostat outer ring as I needed to keep the bypass port operational. If you do choose to remove the thermostat all together Davies Craig sell a pump controller with a sender you can fit too the coolant outlet of the motor they’re a great piece of kit. Lastly I fitted a tap to a 1/8 coolant line on the very top of the engine, I struggled for a long time getting the cooling system bled up 100% and I found the easiest way to repeat that was to fill from the rear and remove the highest coolant line/fitting on the motor, then refit once water is coming out of it. These stock water pumps have plenty of power to move water from front to back, a lot of vw owners do Subaru swaps (myself included) with rad up front and never overheat on stock pump :)

    For your brakes, it will travel more than a normal miata pedal since the caliper pistons are larger, and therefore require more fluid to move a fixed distance. A factor to consider

    I think the led lights you used to have on molly would make this whole look of the car nex level along with a subie scoop and a small spoiler like a lip or something and personally some gold wheels for sure

    Heres an easy way to bleed brakes leave the bleed screw slightly open and drive around when you hit the brakes the air pushes out as you drive and does it fairly quickly we do it here in Newfoundland Canada all the time and I personally never had a problem with it and never heard anyone say anything bad about it and its easy but some people frown on the idea but i dunno if any of them had to bleed brakes before but it can be torture

    Caleb. You should make a skid plate to go in front of the headers, just so when you go off-road those headers won’t take any damage.

    Gingium, i really like you channel and enjoy your content but i find my self after every video wanting to see more of the cars/vehicles actually performing. I just kinda wish you could do more videos showing us what your cars can do. So far its a ton of building on your projects, and little thrashing, pulls, etc. Keep up the awesome content, and a Bumper To Bumper with Donut Media would be super sick!

    Like so Gingium can see. You need to reroute the red battery cable to inside the car. Once you go offroading your probably gonna hit that wire and break down on the trail or start a fire
