Awwww thanks your the shout out! No idea why YT flips my name to my email when I comment on some channels, but my name is Melanie😃 My idea wouldn't have been worth squat without your beautiful execution! Absolutely love them, and the placement!
Thank you so much. I put your name in the description box. It popped up when I was typing your mentioning. I thought how fab of an idea. I love them so much!❤️🥰
Hey, fellow Melanie! Fabulous idea!
I love how many pieces came together to make these perfect little gas lamps. They're so charming!
Thank you so much. I love the bits and bobs. I think I'd rather have a box of bits and bobs, as opposed to finished miniatures..lol something about the feeling it gives that is so addictive and intriguing. It tiggers my imagination to the max ..lol
These lamps came together so smoothly, not a lot of brain work. Your bead caps were a perfect complement for these. 🫶🏽🥰
Yes, those are earring backs for non-pierced ears. The little screw tightens the earring to the earlobe. I used to use them. But they made my earlobes pretty sore most of the time! Beautiful wall lights!! I just love how you design these things! ❤
Thank you so much! They do look painful..ouch! I love how they make great hardware for miniatures. I have cut them down and used various parts in different creations.❤️🥰
@@tinykeyholeminisa good use for these! It’s hard to find the ones with the prongs anymore but if you are looking to replace your stash later they are called “screw-back” earring findings. I haven’t seen them in base metals (which the ones you have look to be) but have seen them in surgical steel, gold-filled and sterling. Yeah, I know, a little spendy. Fire Mountain Gems in OR sells them in large quantities and that makes them a whole lot more affordable.
(I have a concern about the hot glue guns and I hope you are in a well ventilated space… heating up plastics (that aren’t meant for food) can release phthalates which are carcinogenic. I’m living with someone who’s undergoing chemo so please take this seriously. It’s awful.)
@@Lauradicus thank you so much for that info. I shall remember to protect myself🥰❤️
Jolene, I'm blown away by these amazing fixtures! I love that you used those hollow metal "shapes", I think you called them. Just like real gaslights! I LOVED watching you create the "glass" using your glue gun. Wow! So clever. You just keep getting more and more creative with all your work. They look amazing on the wall and utterly authentic! You brilliant you! 😍✨
🫶🏽Love You Dot!! I'm excited to see your new door video. I saw the thumbnail, and the window looks amazing in place. I'll be visiting today! Thank you so much for the kind comment.❤️🥰
Conical flasks for my mini scientists! lovely, thank you so much!
🥰My Pleasure, thank you so much for watching!❤️
Those are earring hooks for non-pierced ears!
This was so fun to watch. I love little accessories videos. This stuff makes me so happy.
Thank you so much. I love that! Yes, accessories are so fun, and most of the time, a relief from other projects. ❤️🥰
The light fixtures turned out amazing and add so much character to the hallway. I would never have thought to use earring pieces to construct lamps. I am always amazed at the kinds of things that can be repurposed to create incredible pieces.
Thank you so much. It's super fun for me and my favorite way to create miniatures. Pulling out all these metal tid bits to create hardware and metal pieces. Thank you so much for watching. 🥰❤️
@@tinykeyholeminis, You are so welcome!
Jolene, you’ve outdone yourself! Those lamps are perfect, just fancy enough for a farmhouse. It’s a joy to watch your creative process thanks for another belter! ❤
Thank you so much, Wendy. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I love how these came together, and it was one of those creations that just came together so smoothly. Not a lot of brain work. Those are my favs..lol 🥰❤️
I absolutely love watching you make your miniatures I get so many ideas to make my houses and shops look the way I want
Thank you so much, I'm happy to help!🥰❤️
I absolutely LOVE the oil lamp fixtures! They turned out beautifully and so perfect for the places you put them.
Thank you so much. I love how they came out. They are so neat.❤️🥰
Those are earing backs. I can think of a ton of things to do with those! Thanks for all the ideas. I'm loving your channel.
Thank you so much! They are awesome hardware. 🥰❤️
The lamps are fantastic!!!
Thank you so much! 🥰❤️
Hi Miss Tinykeyholeminis, I love these gas lamps, they're gorgeous 😍 For the glass tubing you can also use plastic pipettes from art shops. You can buy a big bag of them for about $2, and they last forever because they're long tubes and you only need a small piece for each lamp. I like how you use jewellery findings, like bead caps and tiny screws, to add realistic detail. Thank you for a great video tutorial. Love from Amanda Jones in Melbourne, Australia ❤❤❤
Thank you so much, Amanda. I appreciate the kind comment. Thank you for the info on the plastic pipettes. They sound useful for sure, I'll have to check those out.
Oh, I definitely had those on my list, but I didn't know that's what they were called. Thank you so much!❤️🥰
so creative .I heard this method for years but no vdo to watch .so inspire .
Thank you so much. That's wonderful to hear! I hope it helps!🥰❤️
🤣🤣🤣 You are quickly becoming the Queen of vintage lighting Jolene! Dare I say it?.... You light up our lives with your creations! Don't ever stop!
That's adorable! Thank you so much, my friend! I couldn't have done it without Melanie's idea!🥰❤️
The lights are beautiful, they look perfect
Thank you so much! 🤗 ❤️
Fantastic inspiration!
Thank you so much ❤️🥰
Wonderful idea they look amazing.
Thanks so much 😊 It was a brilliant idea, and one of those creations that just came together very easily. ❤️🥰
Love those ❤
Thank you so much, I really love how neat they are!❤️🥰
Gorgeous!
Thank you so much for watching, I'm glad you love them! ❤️🥰
Such a good idea of Melanie’s to make gas lights. They just look amazing and suit the house so much.
I keep scouring the charity shops for ‘bits’ that might work for things like this, but not had much luck so far…but I’m sure I will. I’ve got some of the components I’ll need to make a light bulb type fitting, but not all yet. 😊
Thank you very much. It was a brilliant idea. Look around the jewelry counter or collection. That's usually a great place for finds. Also, yard, garage, and estate sales, too.❤️🥰
That is so clever
Thank you so much! ❤️🥰
U did a brilliant job turning earrings into lamps,I wld never hv thought how to do that, amazing I luv them, thank u so kuchen fir ur enjoyable video❤
You are most welcome. It is always a pleasure. Thank you so much!❤️🥰
Thiis was a GREAT VIdeo! I am officially old because I immediately knew what those screw bits were! LOLOLOL! They are Screw back earrings. You could adjust the tension on your earlobe That used to be a 'thing"for people who didn't have pierced ears! LLOLOLOL!! I laughed Soooooo hard!! I haven't seen those in years! THIS Video was Wonderful!! I have some of that clear tubing I need to try this! I LOVED THIS VIDEO!!!
Thank you so much, Gretchen. I thought so, but I've only ever seen the clip backs, so I wasn't sure. It's sounds so painful. I would have definitely gone behind my mother's back and pierced my ears..lol 😂 I'm so glad you loved it!❤️🥰
They look fab ❤
Thank you so much! 🫶🏽🥰
Nicely done.
Thank you so much! ❤️🥰
Super wow! How clever are you. Going to give them a try. Thank you.
🤗Thank you so much! That's wonderful to hear! I wish you the best!🥰🤞🏼❤️
This looks like so much fun! ❤
Thank you so much. This part of creating miniatures is my favorite way. It is Super fun! 🥰❤️
Very nice!

Wow impressive. Great job
Thank you very much. I'm glad you enjoyed it!❤️🥰
So cool how these came out. Love them ❤😊
Thank you so much! They are really neat!❤️🥰
Just Beautiful! :)
Thank you kindly!🥰❤️
I saw Where the Gnomes Live doing this and you seem to have taken it a step further! I was watching the bead bit and thought they would make lovely laboratory bottles as my diorama is an alchemists home. I love the gas lamps idea and you did a wonderful job of all your light fixtures❤
Yes!!! Thank you so much, that is where I believe I learned it from! I couldn't remember it was so long ago. I would have totally linked her..But I think I mentioned it in one of my early videos of the house tour. You can also pinch half of the top closed while still warm to create a pour spout! I just played around to see what else I could do with this technique and where I could take it. 🥰❤️
These are amazing
Thank you so much!❤️🥰
I'm a new subscriber. I really like these lamps.
PS The things you used to make your lamps, those are for earings. This was before pierced ears became popular. You would turn the knobs to clamp them onto your ear lobes. Another type of earing actually utilized a clamp, you would clamp them onto your ear.
Welcome to Tiny KeyHole Minis!🤗 Thank you so much, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it. It sounds very painful to have worn these. As they say, "vanity is painful." Im so glad I found them. They have so many uses in my creations.🥰❤️
Amazing!!❤❤❤
Thank you so much!🥰❤️
I like your tube shaping! I’ve seen one tutorial doing the same technique but they ran it under water so I’m glad I wouldn’t need to do that. lol! But they are beautiful. And the copper in the bulb makes it look like a working light like the old ones we grew up with.
Thank you so much. I haven't seen the water trick, but I have seen people heating up the bigger ones to bend as they are harder to shape. But then you lose the color if you want to keep it. Nope, there is no need for either on the smaller ones, and you can easily file the opening back to shape after cutting. ❤️🥰
@@tinykeyholeminis I too accident prone to try the water thing lol! My Addams house isn’t going to be fully powered but having seen a few false lights is good for me. I may put lighting around the frame of the house like I saw on BHM channel.
@dawnc.9676 Yes, she did such a great job with those lights. I think some decorative lights are great anywhere. They don't all have to work!😉
Howdy, you have a new subbie - I loved this and can't wait to watch more of your vids. All of the pieces did fit together just perfectly ... these are so darn cute - lovelovelove
Thank you so much! Welcome to Tiny KeyHole Minis! These was super fun to make.🤗❤️
😊😊❤انتى رائعة وموهوبة في صنع أشياء المصغرة أحب قناتيك شكرا
Thank you so much for the kind comment. I'm happy you enjoy my work!🥰❤️
Plastic tubing can be purchased at hardware store in assorted sizes/diameters.
Thank you for sharing. I wouldn't of thought to look there. ❤️🥰
@@tinykeyholeminis you are welcome. I enjoyed your video. I subscribed. ❤😊
@@romonaelrod7870 Thank you so much. Welcome to Tiny KeyHole Minis! 🤗❤️
Those things you don't know what they are, ARE earing findings for non- pierced ears
Why thank you so much. I thought and mentioned that they looked like earring backs, but I've only ever seen the clip backs for non-pierced ears. So I really wasn't sure.❤️🥰
@@tinykeyholeminis yes, these screw up types were very common in the uk especially, many years ago. I still have some that belonged to my grandmother 🥰
My mother had some of both kinds. I used to play with them as a child. I found them terribly uncomfortable, and they hurt. LOL
@@marygatdula2744 they do indeed 😵
OMGGGGG 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️FISH AIR HOSE ✅ ALUMINUM TAPE ✅ so you can make like medicine bottles too????
Yes you can! Lol ❤️🥰
With the tube, I’m wondering now if you could make neon signs by injecting colored resin, shaping, and curing….hmmmm.
I'm not really sure. 🤔 But I say it's worth experimenting and giving it a go. The only way to find out, right!?!? 🥰❤️
Those are earrings you put a stone in the brackets those were used a lot in the 50s
The 50's!?!? Thank you so much for that. I love the 50s, but ouch! I would have rebelled and pieced my ears...lol 🥰❤️
Old fashioned earrings
Yes, they make great fixtures..lol❤️🥰
Looks perfect 😂 so clever . Did you make the shades for the windows?
Thank you so much. Yes. The shades were one of the first things I made for the house back in 2014, when I first got the house. ❤️🥰
Those two things to make the fixtures are screw on earrings rather than clip ons.
Yes, and it sounds so painful. I said I would have rebelled and pierced my ears..lol ❤️🥰
@@tinykeyholeminis I played with my grandma's.. would always tighten them too much and then cry cause I didn't know how to loosen them 🤣 someone in the house would need to remove them. I was like 4 or 5 and then got ears pierced for real 😂😂😂😂
They're screw on earrings❤
Yes..lol I found out they were. I thought so but wasn't quite sure because I've only ever seen the ones with the clips. Thank you so much for watching. 🥰❤️
What paint are you using for the antique brass finish ? Thx 🙏
I start with a base of black acrylic or chalk paint. Chalk paint works better on metals. And I use a variety of brands and colors. Mostly folkart Metallic paints. Antique gold, antique copper, silver, even rose gold. Or I will use chrome paint. I used antique copper for these, then I finished off with a little of antique gold rub and buff. That comes in all the colors if you can find it. I only have antique gold. Hope this helps.🥰❤️
Thank you for specifying the brand and names! Im a newbie to miniatures and I appreciate the tips! Hugs 🤗
@aneia6353 sorry for the typos. It's metallic paints by folkart
Usually I will show what paints I'm using. I like folkart when it comes to metallic colors, but any acrylic works, some brands are thinner than others and need to be applied with more than one coat.
Welcome to the Mini Side. Feel free to ask anything, I will try to help as much as I can or guide you in the direction of anyone that can. 😉 🥰❤️
great project. Can I suggest in future videos turning the music OFF or at least having the volume WAY, WAY down because it is hard to hear you and very distracting and by the end of the video, super annoying. Thank you.
Thank you...I will not be adding the background music. I thought I had it low enough. And just fills the dead silence if I'm not talking or speeding thru a process. But it's not for everyone.❤️🥰
Thanks for nothing. Bad tutorial, mostly out of focus with elements that most of us cannot find.
It's not a tutorial! It's an inspirational video.😉 Thank you for watching, and It's okay if you didn't like it. Some videos are not for everyone. I like a lil' bit of salt, but I'm mostly a pepper girl! 🤘🏽💋🤘🏽
Perhaps you need to update your glasses. I actually watched the whole video and didn't notice anything out of focus. Also, most thrift stores have jewelry grab bags. Try being creative. Maybe it will improve your attitude
@apriladams5203 Thank You April 🫶🏽🥰. I don't even know if this is a real person..looks like a Bot.🤨 Or just a very salty human with no taste.. 😂
