    We played with urgency earlier in the year but somehow reverted back to 2022 and 2023 which makes me believe the coaching staff cant light a fire on the players and this lineup MINUS Berti and Stanton is just 60 percent dead.
    But in all honesty, once Effross Ian Ham, Nick Burdi come back we get the strikeout relievers and the return of Berti is very important. That guy is a gamer that will solidify the bottom of the lineup and relegates DJL and Oswaldo to the bench.

    It’s hilarious how Yankee fans fail to say what’s the real reason it’s not a rivalry no more it has been pretty lopsided since 03. The Yankees haven’t beating the Sox in a playoff series or a elimination game since 03 just recently they beat the Yankees in 18 , just 2 years ago in the wild card game, they have won 5 out of the last 6 series it’s basically been complete domination head to head for about 20 years now

    Pitching to Devers in his last AB was an ego trip for Boone and nothing else. Boone is a terrible in game manager and apparently Hal and Brian, known to me as dumb and dumber, are fine with that. I called Devers first HR, and his last. His strike out in his first AB told me what he was trying to do. He struck out on three swings swinging out of his cleats. He was on a mission.

    Situational effin awareness severely lacking again on Boone's part!!! Ahh, it just kills me! Cabrera opens the 5th(?) inning with a squirt single. The Boston pitcher has been filthy, and up comes Trent Grisham. "He better be bunting", I say loudly. Nope. "Guaranteed DP coming", I say loudly. Sure enough, a DP!
    Why does Boone think that Trent Grisham shouldn't be bunting Cabrera to 2nd in that situation?? OMG!!
    And pitching to Devers over and over again?!?!
    Boone is a great players guy, but he leaves success and wins on the table repeatedly. Know when the other pitcher is dealing; THINK IT THROUGH, YOU BONEHEAD. ASK BRAD AUSMUS TO MANAGE THE GAME ONCE IN A WHILE!!! HIRE ME FOR FREE!! I WILL GET YOU 5-10 MORE WINS A SEASON.

    I had 0 issues with letting Gil stay in. His pitches were still nasty, letting up a single run doesnt mean anything, oitchers use to go deep even after letting up a few runs and its not like it was to just anyone, it was the current Yankee killer who hit another 1 against the bullpen so it was going to happen anyway.

    The Yankees have become so fragile both physically and mentally over the last 5 seasons at least. Swinging at so many first pitches with no discipline at the plate like they were doing the first 2 months. Maybe Stroman should manage the rest of season. At least he got them motivated two weeks ago....they have no toughness at all they just seem to rollover last 6 weeks.

  • @scottanderson3382
    @scottanderson3382 9 дней назад +1

    This team can't hit because other than Judge and Soto, for various reasons the others are not professional hitters. Sure, Rice and Volpe have potential, but that's all it is right now. Neither has ever had a meaningful at bat in their whole MLB career. Torres has never reached his potential and will be elsewhere next year. DJ is done, not matter how much anyone tries to reference 2019 - 2020, he will never be that player or even close to that ever again, and is not tradeable with his contract. Rizzo is what he is, not much left there. Cabrera is a .220 hitter at best, Trevino hits the occasional HR, but another .240 hitter. Verdugo is a pretty nice outfielder defensively, but if he plays, he should be in the 7 - 9 spots, no higher, and his ceiling is pretty low offensively. Wells may improve with time, but do we really see an above average offensive player there? The rest of the roster is not inspiring at all. Yeah, maybe Stanton comes back, takes up a spot in the lineup and hits some HR's while batting .230. The only thing keeping them relevant is the starting pitching, and while they could be capable enough to stay close, they aren't matching up with the better teams in the playoffs, and the bullpen is collapsing with a ton of reclamation projects and a 7th or 8th inning guy at best as the closer. Wild Card, if the starters don't implode at best. No way Soto stays if this team doesn't at least reach the ALCS.
