That was fascinating to watch. I am a computer enthusiast and auto technician/auto enthusiast. I have interests in cfd for auto and other purposes, very cool video.
Yes, but injection on an open inlet valve will give you combustion instability. Normally start of injection is just after IVC to maximize mixture preparation time for the next cycle
does the simulation also predict how much power is going to be produced and the limits of the engine (such as when the rods break and such), different cam profiles, turbocharging or supercharging. Also what is the software written in (be it something like C++, JS, or something proprietary)?
Hi, thanks for your interest! For general questions you can ask at www.cfd-online.com/Forums/converge/ Our support engineers regularly monitor our forum and are a great resource. As for our software, it is written in C++, we discuss more about how our software is written in this video ruclips.net/video/9PK3ilCkXWw/видео.html
Hi, what software do you use for post-processing? I'm a university student based in Rome, we use converge studio for our cfd simulation, but then we use your post-processer convert tool to convert the 3D output file in paraview output file. Your post-processing video looks very cool so i asked the previous question.
Thank you for your question! The CONVERGE software package includes a complimentary Tecplot for CONVERGE license for post-processing, and the post_convert tool can be used to convert CONVERGE output files to a wide variety of other post-processing formats. You can find out more about Tecplot for CONVERGE at www.tecplot.com/applications/ice/
please i have a concern i am currently studying converge CFD in the context of internal combustion (Gasoline spark ignition engine ) i would like to know what parameter should i change to improve thermal efficiency and reduce nox and co2 thanks cfd2.4
Hi Laurent, thanks for your interest! For specific questions like this please fill out our contact us form and select 'support' on our website convergecfd.com. A support engineer will reach out to you as soon as possible!
Thanks for your question! The geometry for this case is available in our CONVERGE Studio example cases. If you have questions about how to access our example cases, please contact us at convergecfd.com/about/contact-us

@@convergecfdMy opinion ; these videos are too short.
