Correct me if I am wrong but logic is telling me that welding a "heat shield" directly to the exhaust is no longer classified as a heat shield. Surely this has now become a heatsink and will transfer just as much heat to the brake master.

I would have thought they would have jumped at the opportunity to hire on someone with a decade of experience in building cars, drifting, fabrication and an interest in creating RUclips content but who knows what goes on behind the scenes. At the end of the day I know they wouldn’t be able to pay me much and it would honestly be below me. My motivation would be to join a good team of people that can benefit from my skills while I also learn what it takes to grow and maintain a YT channel. I’ll just keep focusing on my content, it’s a slow grind but I’ll get there eventually.

@chris @Orion Add a Catch Can Setup, If its bleeding through the Valve Cover. Most likely the PCV Valve Cant handle the extra Crank case pressure and is pushing oil through the Gasket.
It's because you're putting boost into the pcv system, positive air is getting past the check valve and pressurizing the crankcase, blew out your spark plug seals in the valve cover
I swear these are 2 of the dopest Nissans that they ever made, looks amazing drifting tandem. Especially with the headlights popped up on that 240 🤩🤩 also why are VS-KF's so expensive holy moly
Welding that heat shield there is CRAZY WORK 🤣 the heat shield is going to get so hot from the down pipe and waste gate exit it’s going to transfer all the heat it’s metal 🤣😭😭😭😭 now the heat shield is going to be glowing 🤣😭
Yeah it could have worked if they used metal shielding to cover and protect the necessary parts but by attaching the shield to the ACTUAL exhaust, it’s literally just gonna transfer all the heat to that metal shield now hahaha
I am sure Orion could have found the right size bolt to weld to that flapper to keep it open. This should be a theme of the build... need a bracket? Here is a bolt! You gotta just give it a little tappy tap taparoo when gapping, not try to take the dents out of the car, it's a spark plug not a body hammer brother.
Put the credit card in the spark plug then tap it. It won’t go past the thickness of the card that way. Love the show and can’t wait till Matt’s ripping too. Full squad Letsgo.
Welding the 'heat shield' to the hot bits so it turns it into a brake fluid heater...classic. (Seriously though, you want a heat shield to not be touching the hot bits so the air in between acts as insulation, welding it to hot metal will just make it as hot due to heat conduction.)

idk if it was the best idea to weld the heat shield there, everything attached to that piece will be subject to conduction heat transfer through contact. It probably wont be a big deal but its something to consider.
