I think Christine Nigel is doing a great job with Hermès fragrances. For some reason, my favorite from the line is Un Jardin Sur La Lagune. It smells very lush and modern. I think it is the most underrated one from the collection but I can understand why some people wouldn't like it though; white florals can be a little tricky...
I really enjoy these house overview videos, it’s so good to see you get your nose on so many fragrances. I love Hermes, and definitely looking forward to checking out this line. Cheers 👍
There’s nothing quite like one of your detailed videos to unpack such an interesting collection! I’ve only sampled jardin sur la toit so far and I loved it. But really excited to try out more of this line after seeing how much you liked them! 😊
A wonderful overview Ben. I've never been a fan of the Jardin line myself, having worn the lot minus Apres La Mousson; but even then, Sur le Nil probably wouldn't be on top. Much prefer the Hermessence line and classics like Rocabar, Bel Ami/Vetiver and EdOV. Very interested to see what the company's direction will be in the future.
Oh yeah, I absolutely love the classics, Bel Ami is such a gem! I'd like to delve more into the hermessence line but it's a bit of an investment! I liked Iris Ukiyoe when I tried that one though.
I agree with you totally! Funny Did you sniff the cologne line. In the orange boxes? I like them too. For the summer or springtime. Some combinations are great too I would like to hear your ideas about them !
Heremes as a whole is a house I've just passed over so many times for reasons I still don't know , so it's great to get a good look at quite a few of what they have to offer 🙏 appreciate it.
This is such a good overview! I agree the lagoon one is disappointing. I don't care for Monsieur Li either. But the rest are all really good! My favorite are Mediterranean and apres la mousson.
Hi, just saw this video. I ‘ve been wearing Hermes for years, first one I bought was Voyage, liking it as it was for a woman, but I am wrong on that one, I’m not? In the Jardin my favorite is sur de Nil. Tnk!
Wow...it is super peculiar that we have such different experiences with Sur le Nil. For me it is all about the very realistic tomato leaf with the mango and a hint of incense way in the back. Hardly get any florals. My favs are Nil, Mousson, Li and I am falling big time for sur le Tot as well. I kinda like Mediterranee too but it feels a bit too dense and milky to me for the concept of this line. And I HATE la Lagune. For me it smells like the stale old foul water of a puddle and has a raspy scratchy texture....hate it. All Ellena's elegance and finesse gone 😕

Someone’s looking sharp 😘 Hermes is such an amazing house and I just love this collection!
Agree with you apress la mounsson is one of my favorite from this line... Amazing reviews, thank you...
This collection is amazing... beautiful fragrances...
Maaaaaaate, saw the 30 minute video and immediately subscribed 🤣
Haha, cheers dude! I sometimes think the length of the reviews must put some people off, but I just keep talking too much 😂
Whow... hands down the best overview of this classic line!! Great video. Subscribed

Dear Ben, you shed a huge light on this subject for me. Thank you for this amazing overview.

Christine Nagel really changed the cadence of Hermes, just with one fragrance. But I am excited to see what's next for the Jardin Collection.
I agree with you totally! Funny

Loved this video! I appreaciate that you didn;t put any background music cause that gets annoying fast. Also appreciate the length!
Got a sample of monsieur li today, bought a full bottle later
Did you enjoy it and is it long lasting? Which is your favourite from the line?
@@Gratitude.pjshetty for some reason the sample was better than the bottle. The full bottlr sprayer made it very cloying
@@MrCguy24 sure thanks for sharing 👍
The reason for Nil’s fame is that there was a popular book that detailed its creation IIRC
