- My dog has an emotion reunion with her family, after a long stay at the vet and not seeing her family for a long time. Today I'm sharing what happened when we took our French Bulldog home after IVDD surgery, she had the best reunion with her brother Griffin then something amazing happened. I still can't believe it! Our hearts were broken into a million pieces, our family still can't believe this has happened to our baby Haru but miracles like this is what we're living for. Today Haru our French Bulldog came home after emergency disc surgery. Please keep Haru in your prayers.

Now that she is home, she’ll recover faster. She stood upright and drank water. With Sienna and Grif there will spur her on so they can all be together again. I’m thankful that the doctors were able to repair her discs so she could walk again! Much love to the whole family. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏

It was heartwarming to see Haru the moment she realized she was back home and her ears excitedly pointed up in the air. And Griffin’s joy at seeing Haru home again made me cry!🥲😂

How wonderful that Haru is home! Was so thrilled to see her STANDING to drink her water. It was also great to see her enjoying her dried salmon snacko. Yeah! Haru looks wonderful! I know she has been through a lot but that is all behind her now. The fact that she was able to stand so strongly as she drank her water is SUCH a good sign! I fell in love with Griffin all over again. That reunion was so precious and then he was so upset about the barrier (but he will adjust... Haru is back). Haru's scar is truly horrifying. I was expecting a tiny scar on her rump. I am so glad Haru belongs in your family and could get this major problem repaired. Poor baby. My 5 yr old Frenchie, Beau, had surgery on 2 Cervical-Discs (C-3 & C-4) last August 31, 2022. His incision went from just under the back of his chin, down the front of his neck, down just between the top of his chest in between his front legs.
It is very shocking & frightening when you see it, even though the surgeon warns you. It is just amazing the spirit that comes out from these little doggos!
My Beau was getting back to being his ore-injury "old self" within weeks. Although he was not "fully recovered" until about the 3rd week of January-2023.
He is like a puppy again!😊

Yes, it does just "happen". I have a 15 yr old Frenchie, (YES! I said 15 yrs old!) who has never had a disc issue. Over the past 4-5 yrs, Frenchies have gone from being #23 on the favorite dogs list, to #1 in 2022. So you see & hear about this issue more often now. This issue is an issue with all dogs with longer backs & comparatively shorter legs. Dachshunds, Pugs, & several other breeds experience this too.
And sometimes it occurs from them doing things they shouldn't being doing, like jumping up or down from things they shouldn't. And other times, it's like my little Beau. He had a calcification on the vertebrae. We had no idea, & he got up from being asleep on his dog pillow & got up quickly in an awkward position & he let out a small yelp. That was when the calcification knicked the side of the disc at C-3 & the disc started herniating. The day he went to the Vet & found out the problem & got him scheduled for surgery right away. In just a few hours, he had developed trouble moving his front legs & would lose his balance.
It is a scary thing as a pet parent. Beau is fantastic now. He has a new lease on life & we loved him so much but even more now after going through that ordeal. Even with the pain, his spirit never diminished. He was always a snuggler. Now more than ever. The few weeks of limited snuggling made him love it even more. They are fabulous dogs & thats all I'll ever have now. ♥️♥️♥️ (And with his hair grown back in, you cannot even see his scar.) Thanks for asking Kathleen.

This was so emotional, I cried the whole time. Very special moments for everyone. I have never seen Griffin so loving and emotional as when he saw Haru for the first time. You and Haru all are in my prayers. So happy that she is standing again.

Have been watching anxiously for updates. Haru’s reunion with Griffin was heartbreakingly sweet. So good to see that Haru was giving kisses and eating snackos. Will keep you all in my prayers.

I started to cry when I saw Haru's scar. I had had major back surgery myself with rods and screws, and a fusion. I would do it all again if it would save Haru from having to go through it. She was so happy to see you all, but Griff's kisses made me cry all over again. I was amazed to see our courageous Haru standing up to drink her water. Her recovery suite is amazing. Thank you so much for filming her homecoming. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Anyone can see that she has the best of everything, from her medical specialists to her water fountain and recovery suite. May the Holy One watch over her and grant her a full and complete healing.
