Also, on tracks with long straights before the start/finish, you don't want to be leading as the 2nd place car can easily draft around you. I got lucky and broke the draft just enough to keep the lead.
@@R32AutoXer This is very common in SRF. The guy in the lead ends up 5-6 as the other cars pass him in a train at the end of a straight. You only want to lead the last 100 yards, unless you have a quarter mile gap to 2nd place.
