Hi Tim, There is a little bit of gain performance wise, given the complete OEM GTI Turbo Back system (downpipe and catback exhaust) are slightly bigger, from 2.25" to 2.5". The main thing in having this set up is, it will provide expansionability (if there is such work :-)) given there are more aftermarket support on GTI exhaust out there. I hope this will help.
shady serhan I am not familiar with 1.4t turbo back system, but the catback looks the same. It all depends how you want to work it but you will definitely have to use a reducer or an a adapter to make it work. I am assuming that your pipe size is 2.25” in outer diameter!?
hey! Do you know if the gti downpipe is different than the 1.4tsi downpipe? Or what is the difference And does it fits the Gti downpipe in the 1.4tsi? 👍🏻 Thks
Hi it will not be plug and play give you will need the 2.5” downpipe or an adapter/reducer to fit the GTI pipe. Besides, the 1.2t turbo back, I believe is shaped/routed differently than the 1.8t and the 2.0. Don’t completely quote me given I am not familiar with the 1.2s or the 1.4s, but it might require some retrofitting to make it work.
Marc-Antoine Sauvé it fits perfectly from the turbo and you ca reuse the V-band clamps. If you are using your original CBE you will need a reducer from 2.5” to 2.25”.
thank you! do you know if the bracket we see in the video at 0:25 on the GTI downpipe is the same on the 1.8T? In other words, i Have the downpipe but not the bracket, do I need to buy one in order for the downpipe to fit?... Ebay link of the part i am talking about www.ebay.com/itm/2015-2016-2017-VW-VOLKSWAGEN-MK7-GTI-GLI-UPPER-EXHAUST-DOWN-PIPE-BRACKET-OEM/282960340688?epid=740342789&hash=item41e1c026d0:g:ODMAAOSwxzdaRqjq
I don't know if you've already figured it out but I'm about to replace my 1.8t downpipe with a GTI downpipe and I have both brackets. I will update this comment once I compare the old and new bracket..
No I don’t have it, but if you get a hold of a GTI vin number (from someone you know or take one at the dealer’s lot) and use it to have the VW parts department to look it up.
Ari mander the R diffuser will not fit on the TSI/GTI bumpers, but there are vendors out there that sells a diffuser for a quad style exhaust. Check out aliexpress, eBay, or oettinger they do have diffusers
If you are staying with your current downpipe you will need an adaptor from 2.25” to 2.5”. The other option to be able to fit the OEM catback is to get the GTI DP as well. Hope this helps
If you are putting it on a 1.8t MK7 golf, the full system will not work given the shapes are totally different between the variants. The only part you can take advantage of possibly is the axle back along with the proper rear diffuser. If you are going for the Center dual exhaust, why not just go with the OEM system that is available with the 1.8t? The dealer offers them as an upgrade option.
On the 1.8t can you fit a OEM GTI cat back exhaust, while skill keeping the 1.8t OEM downpipe on the car. Everything I'm talking about is for the mk7.
You will need a reducer from 2.5 to 2.25 and possibly shortening the mid pipe on the OEM CBE to compensate for the new adopter.
Can you tell the difference performance wise between this and the stock exhaust system

I have a question ✌
I have mk7 1.4tsi and I found an exhaust that made for mk7 gti will it fit my 1.4 tsi? Easy to get it fit ?
?

I don't know ... but are you sure that the two hangers left and right the same position ?
I mean the two rubber hangers will they fit perfectly?
@@JNBTuning 2.25 correct but can a 3inch downpipe fit on a vw 2018 golf mk7 1.4tsi
does the mk7 oem gti diffuser fit on themk7 tsi?
Yes it should fit the MK7 Golf
hey! Do you know if the gti downpipe is different than the 1.4tsi downpipe?
Or what is the difference
And does it fits the Gti downpipe in the 1.4tsi?
👍🏻
Thks
I have a MK7 TSI Hatchback and was wondering if any aftermarket GTI exhaust systems will bolt on properly into my TSI Hatchback. Please let me know
Please watch my other vid on the subject and I did exactly that. If you have 1.8T then the MK7 GTI systems and parts OEM or aftermarket will fit
Would what you are doing work with 1.8T golf 2017 as my plan was just put cherry bomb xtreme exhaust to it or does ur conversion idea go better?
Yes what I was doing on the vid was my old 1.8t
Hi, I have 1.2 tsi golf 7. If I buy a GTI catback, will it be just a "plug and play", or do I need to cut and weld something? thx:)

Looks like the same OD piping. Only increases past the cat?
Zhar CBE is only a quarter mm bigger
looking to do this as well... the OEM Gti downpioe will fit properly without any adapter on the 1.8T ?

Do you have a part number for the diffuser?
No I don’t have it, but if you get a hold of a GTI vin number (from someone you know or take one at the dealer’s lot) and use it to have the VW parts department to look it up.
Its posible to do the same with the R diffuser ¿? Or bumper are not the same. thanks

I have a tsi 1.8, someone selling me stock gti exhaust from resonator to muffler, too much issue fitting it?

Why do u remind me so much of the old Han
😅no worries bro I do get that a lot 😂
just wondering, are the cats the same size ?
bart keune the first and second cat are practically the same, only the in between pipes that are different
ahh thank you !
Hi i want to put a mk6 R exaust in my mk7 tsi, what i need? Thx.
